A Sunny Day Spent Indoors

After bidding my wife goodnight last evening at nearly 10 p.m., I retired to bed with my cellphone alarm set for 1:45 a.m. to get me up to leisurely ready for a five-mile+ walk.

When it later alerted me, I began the readying process; and when all set to go, my fully clothed body weight was apparently at most just slightly under 188 pounds ─ so 187½ pounds, perhaps?

It was 2:44 a.m. once I was outside and set to be on my way under a clear night sky.

I had my usual stop three or four blocks hence at the elementary school playground for a half dozen sets of pull-ups and push-ups. The metal bar that the first four sets would be performed with was just vaguely damp with condensation, so I wiped it clear.

My totals of repetitions in the six sets have been commonplace of late: 5-2-3-2-2-2, with the last two sets performed on a pair of gymnastics-style rings, and the final pull-up of those held for a 20-count.

Then I had a dozen slow full-range push-ups in a declined posture on a cement ramp leading up to a nearby school side door.

There wasn't anything remarkable about the ensuing walk, apart from hearing a barn owl's shriek at one point. I was back home outside the locked front door by 4:44 a.m. It was not too much past 6 a.m. when I returned to bed, and I was up again (I am surmising) in the neighbourhood of 8:30 a.m.

When I joined my younger brother for some morning T.V. soon after 9 a.m., I soon learned that he would be heading out anon for either a repairing lawnmower part, or else a new machine. Also, my youngest stepson's brand new toilet was going to get delivered in the latter morning.

And so my brother actually watched very little T.V. with me. After he was back, we were about halfway through an old documentary when the two-man team delivering and installing the new toilet arrived, so that ended our morning television entertainment. I don't believe that it was yet 10:45 a.m. when my brother announced that he was retiring to his bedroom for further bed rest to be spared the noise and fuss ─ he would be heading off towards mid-afternoon to bus and thus rendezvous at a pub with one or two drinking buddies.

I at least did watch three videos on my own ─ two featured Dr. Jane Ruby. Her Rumble account is here ─ knock yourself out.

The other video was a little over a quarter hour long and featured Dr. William Makis: NEW PODCAST! "15 minutes with Dr.Makis" - Episode 007: Chris Cuomo's limited hangout on Ivermectin is an act.

This was the first time that I had the term "limited hangout" explained ─ I had an entirely wrong assumption.

I have plans to get out this evening and get in both a good walk and do some shopping. Since my early evening is already upon me this rather sunny day, I want some bed rest first. Who knows? I might even have a beer.

My wife had to work the latter part of today, so she left here around 3:10 p.m. on her fairly long drive.

Back to the lawnmower, I did have my bit of a rest, rising to find that my eldest stepson was outside mowing the back and front lawns. I don't know if he gets enjoyment out of showing off his musculature in tank top and shorts, but I cannot imagine why he wouldn't. Our cul-de-sac has become a South Asian playground with people out there all day long.

Anyway, rather than remain lying down until I had to finally get ready to leave on what might be just about a six-mile round trip shopping walk, I tuned in Cybill here at my bedside computer and drank a can of Cariboo Malt.

The episode was #25's "Mother's Day" of season three.

Christine Baranski could sure make some darned cute faces!

It is now 8:09 p.m. ─ I must quickly ready and go!
