Let's Stalk

If I am remembering correctly, it was nearing 10 p.m. before I got to bed last evening, so my cellphone alarm was set for 1:45 a.m. to get me up to ready for another five-mile+ walk. My younger brother was already home, and my wife had seemed to have just arrived following her full day of work at the Thai restaurant.

She and I have separate but adjacent bedrooms.

I was largely awake by the time my cellphone alarm chimed. And by the time I was all dressed and set to go, I was a tad disappointed to weigh in easily at 189 pounds so attired.

My eldest stepson was watching videos on a laptop at the dining table, but I likely sneaked off unheeded. It was 2:28 a.m. once I was outside and about to head off.

The sky was fairly clear; the night air very cool and almost damp.

When I got to the elementary school for some exercise, I had to settle for the smaller kids' playground because some jackasses were frolicking at the street on the side of the school that I intended to go.

I did not fair quite as well as had been hoped. My repetitions over six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups were 5-2-3-2-2-2, but I held the final pull-up between a pair of stationary rings for a 20-count.

I was also a little disappointed with my closing declined push-ups on a ramp leading to a portable classroom door ─ the non-slip metal covering of the ramp was actually causing some slippage of the toes of my boots as I exercised, since I was facing down slope. Whether that was the reason or not, I only managed 11 slow full-range push-ups.

During my walk, I was to twice have to detour and thereby lose some time in the vicinity of 98th Avenue & King George Boulevard (Google Map) due to a large night crew "milling & paving" along the King George on the 98th Avenue side. I was unable to cross at that intersection, so had to go a little out of my way.

It was not much of a detour, but by the time I was back home again it was 4:30 a.m.

I may have been back to bed by 6 a.m. at most.

My morning officially began shortly past 8:30 a.m., and I was lying in bed aware that my brother was leaving his bedroom to go downstairs to watch T.V. and drink coffee.

I joined him around 9:10 a.m. and was invited to put our Android TV Box to work.

I led us off with a very interesting 15-minute (15:22) video published earlier today: NEW PODCAST! "15 minutes with Dr.Makis" - Episode 011: Canadian ERs are flooded with COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine Turbo Cancer patients.

SHOCKING: Alberta Medical Association (Albertadoctors) President Dr.Paul Parks PfParks (Emergency Doctor in Medicine Hat, Alberta) viciously attacks, defames and smears Dr.Byram Bridle, Dr.Jessica Rose, Dr.Mark Trozzi, Dr.Chris Shoemaker, Dr.Eric Payne, Dr.David Wiseman, for raising concerns!

Then it was a 55-minute (55:01) video at John Leake's Substack ─ the video was also published today: The HOT ZONE: May 14, 2024.

Blood clots, POTS, AstraZeneca's clot shot pulled from market, Cuomo brothers' surprising admissions, Canada's new hate crime bill, our new Age of Orthodoxy, bird flu rising.

After that came a 25-minute (25:08) video posted to YouTube on June 8, 2013, at its The Best Film Archives channel: Atatürk, Founder of the Turkish Republic | Early History of Modern Turkey | Biography Documentary.

This documentary is a filmed biography of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk (1881-1938), an Ottoman-Turkish army officer who later became the first President of Turkey. The film shows his efforts to establish and modernize the Turkish Republic.

He is credited with being the founder of the Republic of Turkey. His surname, Atatürk (meaning "Father of the Turks"), was granted to him in 1934 by the Turkish parliament.

It was actually very good ─ refer to the link for a far longer description. Walter Cronkite narrated.

We also watched 15 Storeys High ─ episode four ("Ice Queen") of series or season one.

My brother had his bed rest after that. I had my day's first meal, but I may have gotten back to bed for a nap ere he left for the day ─ weird that I cannot recall.

My wife evidently had another full workday, so she left this morning around 10:15 - 10:20 a.m. on her rather long drive.

The day has been bright, but with a somewhat hazy sky that has sometimes seemed overcast. I did at least consider sitting out in the backyard, but I hate wasting time with unproductive Sun exposure. Besides, today was a bath day.

Having to bath denied me the time to be free to undertake what would have been a third hike to London Drugs in a bid to buy Hometown Heroes Lottery tickets. The store is at least 1¾ miles distant, and closes at 9 p.m., so I would have needed to leave at 8 p.m. ─ not possible on a bath day.

Unfortunately, an early bird bonus deadline is Thursday ─ I may have to miss out.

But I will get in some sort of walk this evening.

Meantime, I had myself a can of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol) and watched Cybill ─ the final episode #26 ("Let's Stalk") of season three. I honestly have no idea what will fill the Alicia Witt gap once season four and the series are done.

And it is now 8:52 p.m., so I am publishing this so that I can ready and be on my way.
