The two-man 'drywall' crew my youngest stepson hired last week and who showed up this afternoon to repair a couple of holes ─ one in a closet wall backing the upstairs bathroom, the other in the ceiling above the lad's bed where a bad leak broke through ─ apparently detailed to him that the two-man plumber crew who had supposedly repaired the bathroom shower / bathtub leak that day last week, failed to detect a second leak in the piping assemblage.
On top of that, he was warned that the ceiling insulation above his bed includes asbestos, for the house was constructed in the latter 1970s ─ maybe 1977.
They did considerable vacuuming after their work, and were actually here possibly in excess of three hours.
The two holes have only been covered over due to the need for complete drying of the leak seepage ─ the plumbing job of which they supposedly finished repairing.
The bill is not going to be under a thousand dollars. And of course, they still have to return at some point and fix the two holes. Meantime, the lad does not want to sleep here tonight due to the scare his hypochondriac nature has undergone concerning the reported asbestos and the very fine dust he believes was disturbed and is going to be floating about for several days in the case of the finest of it.
He will be staying at a friend's lodging for tonight [Note: He did not. Ultimately he returned home]. He had been checking online quotes for hotels and such, and is aghast that nothing affordable is available even in unranked businesses ─ i.e., 'no star' hotels. He can't even find anything as low as $200 ─ which he can't afford to pay for even one mere night anyway.
Enough of that for the nonce ─ my usual narrative ensues.
I had my wee a.m. five-mile+ walk overnight, getting away at 2:30 a.m. And as usual, I also exercised at the nearby elementary school playground early into the walk. But I had no legs. I am hoping that this was only as a consequence of Tuesday evening's two-mile+ hike home from a liquor store with two dozen cans of beer, an overall weight of about 20 pounds. That beer walk was challenging, and I was suffering for it in the late stages.
I would like to try and get to London Drugs this evening to buy entry into the first early bird draw of the Hometown Heroes Lottery ─ the deadline for participation is midnight. But London Drugs is maybe 1¾ miles away minimally, and closes at 9 p.m., so I would want to leave by 8 p.m. or soon thereafter.
It is already 7:15 p.m. as I type these words.
Switching topic to morning T.V. with my younger brother, once I began operating our Android TV Box, I led us off with a seven-minute (7:20) video published May 13 to Rumble's AKStraightSpeaks channel: I Was in a Trudeau Impersonator's Farewell video!
John Julian has given us many laughs and much joy impersonating Justin Trudeau. Never with malice, always upbeat fun.
Please check the interview below. He was treated badly and cancelled by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in Van.

Then it was over to Substack for a 15-minute (15:35) video published just today: NEW PODCAST! "15 minutes with Dr.Makis" - Episode 012: Slovakia's Prime Minister Robert Fico shot in Assassination Attempt today after rejecting WHO Pandemic Treaty.
He has also recently launched investigations into:
- COVID-19 pandemic corruption & money spent
- COVID-19 Vaccine injuries & deaths
- 21,000 Excess deaths
Is this a threat to politicians around the world to "leave the COVID-19 pandemic crimes" alone?
He was gunned down in broad daylight by a leftist activist lunatic.
Praying for his safety and recovery!
Yesterday Odessa Orlewicz posted a 12-minute (12:26) video on the same topic: Slovakia PM Shot After Starting Vaccine Investigation & Saying NO To Pandemic Treaty.
I share 2 separate videos where in The Slovakia PM publicly talks about the WHO Pandemic Treaty being "nonsense invented by greedy pharma companies" and another video where he says “One study after another confirms the scandalous consequences of mass vaccination with untested experimental vaccines.” He then had an attempted assassination on his life.
Concerning the would-be assassin, this was published at Substack today by John Leake: Who Is Juraj Cintula?
The next video we watched was an hour long (1:00:09) and published yesterday at BitChute's BANNED.VIDEO channel: EXCLUSIVE: Emperor Of Diagolon Declares War On Trudeau.
Activist Jeremy Mackenzie joins Alex Jones on Tuesday to discuss why they both are at the top of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s hit list.
Our final video was 50 minutes (49:58) and published May 13 at Rumble's Robby Starbuck channel: Guatemala's Secretary General Interview: Scandal In Guatemala & Allegations of US Child Trafficking!
There’s a scandal going on in Guatemala that everyone needs to know about. The Attorney General in Guatemala is investigating child trafficking at the US border and it appears that the Biden Admin is retaliating.
The interview you’re about to hear is apparently so dangerous that the Secretary General of Guatemala says he was warned by someone claiming to carry a message from the US Embassy that he was “playing with fire” if he took part in the interview.
The video description is far longer, so please refer to the video link to see all of it. I will only present that the Secretary-General of the Public Ministry (Ministerio Público) of Guatemala being interviewed is Ángel Arnoldo Pineda Ávila.
I made the hike in time, and then added some distance so that I'd get at least a five-mile walk out of the venture.
My legs were definitely still enfeebled ─ whether from Tuesday evening's laborious stroll or not, I can only hope. I definitely do not want there to be no reason other than me being old and soft.
I was back home before my brother had yet shown up, so I will have control of the T.V.
My wife was home, though, and is harping at me that I have to talk to my brother about sharing in the plumbing expense ─ and to solicit from my brother, even though he had wanted the lad to only get that original plumbers' estimate because my brother 'knew someone' willing to throw his hat into the ring.
But the lad gave the go-ahead on the spot. Would my brother's 'man' have performed a superior examination and outcome?
I bloody hate this. We are at the harshest point in the year for annual expenses. Three bi-weekly mortgage Thursdays this month; then the annual home insurance (unknown amount as yet) will be due June 14; and the annual monstrous property taxes the first business day of July.
The kid went ahead on all counts of these repairs of his own volition. I can understand why his mommy is now defending him, but come one! This needed to be a communal vetting process ─ not his choosing alone.
Last word ─ I may have coincided with Rayah this evening.
I was hiking a highway a mile or so from home as I was returning, and I noticed a leggy skirted lass well ahead of me on the opposite side of the highway. I was on the right side, so I crossed over to the left side where she was and steadily gained.
By the time we were nearing another major highway intersection, I had practically caught her up. By the lights, I had.
However, she was there to turn right and proceed up the intersected highway, whereas I was to continue on. Nevertheless, she had the red light, so was standing in wait. My light was just about to turn green as I stepped in front of the lass and looked at her, and querulously uttered, "Rayah?"
She looked at me, then returned her attention into the direction she would be walking. Uncertain if it was truly she, I then obeyed my green light and departed from her.
It might not have been her. But it could have been. If it was, then even if she did not clearly hear me speak her name, at least its sound should have been sufficient to have earned me more than a brief oblivious look.
So I don't know what is afoot with this.
Tomorrow I will speak of my subsequent evening once my brother was home. And no, there would be no sense talking of financial matters with him when he has been drinking for a third of the 24-hour day.
