Peeling Back the Layers

It was already dark last evening when I left on the 5.625-mile round trip hike to do some shopping at Real Canadian Superstore. Rain was negligible until about a block or so from home on my return.

Note that I only realized today that Real Canadian Superstore is supposed to be getting boycotted by shoppers across Canada this entire month of May ─ see Month-long boycott of Loblaw-owned grocery brands and stores begins.

Well, there is only one other store where I do my grocery shopping ─ Save-On-Foods. But everything that I bought last night is more expensive at Save-On-Foods ─ so why would I boycott the store that is actually saving me some money?

This makes no sense.

Am I to demand even more savings by boycotting Real Canadian Superstore, and let the store off scot-free that charges me more? ─ as well as do my shopping exclusively at the more expensive store all through this month by way of the boycott, and in the process pay dollars more?

Yes, there are some things that I buy at Save-On-Foods that ARE cheaper ─ and that is where I go to buy those things. So really, this boycott serves me no purpose whatsoever. I do not buy items at Superstore that are cheaper at Save-On-Foods, and vice versa. Can't other people just do the same?

Of course, they are not walking miles to do their shopping like I am to do mine.

Anyway, I got back home to find my younger brother of course watching T.V., and my wife home following her full day working at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.

But surprise! My youngest stepson had finally returned home following his month-long holiday with his girlfriend ─ Emily or Emma? ─ in Thailand. She of course was taken to meet his family in the family home village near the city of Udon Thani.

The lad said that she seemed to enjoy meeting his grandmother and other family members, but felt bad because she of course did not understand Thai and few of his relatives know much English. However, apparently his aunt from Rome, Italy, happened to have come home for a visit that same day, and she is quite conversant in English.

They did not try spending a night at the family home, instead having taken a room at a hotel in the city. According to the lad, it was oppressively hot, and even he no longer cares to try sleeping without air conditioning ─ he has become a soft Westerner.

They even both had some intestinal issues during their holiday. Fortunately, nothing especially severe.

Alas, due to their return flight having a layover in (I believe) Taiwan, customs there was apparently going to make it impossible to bring back any Thailand-specific liquor as gifts for us. Had they bought anything, it would have probably been confiscated.

Still, I am a little fuzzy on why he did not avail himself of duty-free liquor at YVR when they returned? Granted, it is a bit complicated. As I recall, paperwork has to be completed en route aboard the airliner well before landing here.

My wife had been a little more communicative than she has been of late, and after enquiring if I had yet eaten, she directed me towards what she had earlier prepared.

Once I joined my brother for some T.V., it was around midnight, so he ventured that we likely only had time for one show via our Android TV Box that he wanted me to put into play, so I lined us up with Chicago PD ─ the finale episode 21 ("You and Me") of season nine.

That was truly dramatic and exciting, and it was fabulous watching Sergeant Voight so devotedly caring of his targetted informant, Anna. As played by Carmela Zumbado, I did not want anything fatal to befall the beautiful character, but I knew that this is not how these plots will usually turn out.

Thereafter, I ventured to my brother who requested "something short" that the series finale of Wolf Creek was on tap ─ knowing that now, what did he think?

As expected, he okayed its play just to be done with the murderous madman in the vain hope that we would see justice and the evil character would finally actually die.

Alas, episode six "Return" of season two offered no such resolution.

However, the franchise is not yet done, apparently. There may even be a third movie just recently released. I shall have to be mindful of it.

I remained up some while after my brother retired to his bedroom ─ everyone else had retired. My youngest stepson was to have to 'return' to work today. For him, though, that did not equate to an excessive amount of suffering, since he primarily works from home and would not be reporting in to any office.

I had drunk another two cans of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol) on top of the pair I had consumed prior to my shopping hike. It was a wee rough this morning when I checked the time just ahead of 8 a.m. and soon decided to rise.

My brother was not to emerge from his bedroom until barely after 9 a.m., but I had become enmeshed in a game of Microsoft FreeCell (a pirated or knock-off version) that delayed me from getting access to the T.V. before he did.

Even so, he was not interested in regular T.V., so I got the clearance to put our Android TV Box back into play.

I led things off with the third of four videos in a series published at Rumble's Deprogramming With Graces Dad channel. The video well exceeded 1½ hours (1:39:00): The Matrix Revealed: The Illusion of Choice Part 2b: Peeling Back The Layers – Deceptions Focused on Christians.

In this monocast, Scott discusses deceptions focused on Christians; distractions, dialectics, and delusions to keep us participating in Satan’s game.

Refer to the video link for a description comprised of many other reference videos. Suffice it dealt with The Great Awakening as opposed to The Great Reset ─ yet maintained that both served Satan's agenda and are entirely part of his plan. And this is something those of us in the 'freedom movement' must not lose awareness of.

Then it was a nine-minute (9:52) older video from YouTube's Talasbuan channel uploaded back on April 30, 2019: Skiing with a husky and escaping sheep.

Episode thirty-five, in which Tova takes the last ski trip for this winter, and we enjoy the sun that has not been seen for a couple of months.

This is a vlog about our struggles and joys of living off the grid in the forests of JΓ€mtland, Sweden.

We also got better than halfway through another of their videos, but it was noon by then and my brother announced that he was heading to his bedroom for some bed rest because he "had things to do", so I paused it for tomorrow, in all likelihood.

I believe that I still had not sought my early afternoon nap when he left for the day.

My wife apparently had another full workday today, so she emerged from her bedroom around 9:30 a.m. and left us by maybe 10:10 a.m. on her fairly long drive.

The day has been a mix of Sun and cloud, with a rather chilly wind. I need to get some serious Sun exposure soon to colour up my flawed facial complexion ─ I am growing self-conscious about going anywhere in the daylight.

Also, I keep thinking of Rayah, and hoping to encounter her again, and find that she has actually been thinking of me, too.

I'm an idiot. I know.

This revelation was likely inspired by the two cans of Cariboo Malt I drank early this evening with my supper while watching an episode of The Avengers ─ the fifth season's episode seven ("The Living Dead").

I found myself responding more than usual to exceptionally beautiful Diana Rigg's Emma Peel. This was an episode back when I was in my mid-teens that had me agog when Diana apparently took quite a large man across her shoulders and spun him about before tossing him onto a bed.

Back then, I never imagined that women could bear the weight like that of a larger man, so it astounded me to witness it.

I want to rise at 1:30 a.m. to slowly ready for a five-mile+ walk, so I intend to get to bed quite early this evening. It is already 9:26 p.m., so I had best conclude this post here.
