My walk last evening was to the Green Timbers Liquor Store where I bought a further 1½ dozen cans of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol). It's a round trip walk of maybe 4.854 miles via the route I used last evening.
Normally I 'tip' up the $33-and-change bill to an even $35, and I thought that I was doing so last evening.
I've shopped there before while under the influence of a couple of brews; but even so, was this why I made the relatively huge blunder that I did last evening?
I was approximately a block (if not a little more) on my way back home when it came crashing into my consciousness ─ that is, the dawning that I had given over a $50 bill when I told the young man to tip my change into the tip jar.
No bloody wonder he seemed so unusually grateful!
I still feel a little sick over this stupid loss. I was even contemplating not shopping there again. However, it was no fault of the store employee ─ the bloody blunder was entirely my own.
Oh, well. This sort of risk will only be in play another 2½ months or so when it will have become dark early enough that I can leave on evening walks and still achieve the nearest government liquor store that is two miles from here before its 9 p.m. closing time.
Anyway, I arrived back home to find my wife home and out front watering the garden plants. My face was wet with perspiration even though I had walked home without a jacket and wearing a sleeveless top, so she offered me a shower with the hose that I declined.
I came into the house to find my younger brother passed out in front of the T.V. ─ he doesn't seem to care who sees him in that state.
I changed clothes upstairs in my bedroom and then came and joined him, taking control of the T.V. to put our Android TV Box into play.
I wanted to watch A Touch of Frost ─ episode two ["Benefit of the Doubt (Part Two)"] of season or series eight.
The seasons (or series) have of late only been two episodes long, so we're getting through the series rather quickly now.
I next tuned in Catterick ─ in this case, the series sixth episode finale. Let's just say that I'm not going to miss the series ... although Morwenna Banks looked outstanding in her tight dark outfit in this episode.
I was to drink three further cans of Cariboo Malt with my brother, and had some concern if perhaps my total alcohol intake that evening was going to present an issue when I went to bed ─ namely, vertigo.
Fortunately, it was manageable, but I felt distinctly rough this morning. I can't even recall when I went to bed ─ was it past 3 a.m.? Whatever the case, I was up well before 8:30 a.m. this morning.
My wife rose this morning well ahead of my brother, and by then I was already watching T.V. ─ specifically, a 32-minute (32:49) video published just today at Dr. William Makis's Substack: VIDEO - Compilation by Truth Justice on X (June 2024).
It concerned true experts and authorities speaking out against the COVID 'vaccines'.
My brother finally emerged from his bedroom towards the end of the video. I already had the next selection set up, so it was an easy transition to an unusually long (1:22:24) video published today at Rumble's AnitaKrisha channel: Canada is Fed Up--out with the Liberals.
The topics were wide-ranging ─ it was really quite entertaining!
My brother was to surprise me by not seeking any rest when finished with T.V. He changed into a pair of shorts and left for the day.
It was a hot one!
My wife never had to work until the latter part of today, so she was here until after 3 p.m. However, by then I could not forestall my needed nap any longer, so I had to wish her well with her time at work and seek my bed before she left.
This was a bath day, so that further helped rule out any sunning.
I have a wee a.m. five-mile+ walk planned, so I intend getting to bed well ahead of 10 p.m. Due to time constraints, I never managed to log in any T.V. watching to allow me anything to drink. And now my Sabbath fast is almost upon me.
Since I will not be eating during the daytime tomorrow, I ought to be doing some sunning in the afternoon even if my wife is home.
It is now just past 9 p.m., so I am going to halt blogging for today.
