Something absolutely must change for me! I can't keep living as I am.
Last evening it was at least 8:18 p.m. when I hustled off to try and make it to the government liquor store two miles away in Whalley ─ the store closes at 9 p.m. on weekdays.
I had a peculiar encounter when I was most of the way there. I had just passed two teens coming my way at the intersection of University Drive & 105-A Avenue (Google Map), when their loud calls thereafter drew my attention and I looked back.
Sure enough, the blighters were facing directly towards me as they stood in the intersection, and one of them yelled out, "Are you a robot?"
I was wearing my sleeveless hoodie, so I undoubtedly looked to be muscular to these smaller two, for they were indeed shorter than I.
Then the loudmouth referenced his beaming companion and declared that the companion made an occasional practice of punching random strangers in the balls.
WTF?
I had no time for whatever juvenile nonsense these two were going on about, so I continued on my desperate errand. And I got there in time, buying a half dozen cans each of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol) and Bumper Crop Crisp Apple Cider (7% alcohol).
The plan had been to drink a couple cans ─ preferably if I could do so with a prospectively attractive lass, should I manage to come across such. I had already drunk a can each of these brews before leaving home, so I was under their influence.
But this indulgence while out never happened ─ with or without any companionship. And I even added a mile to my overall four-mile round trip hike.
When I finally got back home, the house was in darkness ─ no one was here.
And so for a change I had full control of the T.V. before my drunken younger brother arrived home no earlier than 10:30 p.m.
I had actually considered just going to bed instead of awaiting him, but I normally only get an opportunity three nights a week to watch the shows we follow in common.
My first choice was The Morning Show ─ episode four ("The Green Light") of season three. When my brother realized what I was tuning in, he grouched that he had thought the series ended after the conclusion of season two.
In other words, here we were with the fourth episode of the third season, and he bloody had no memory that we had been watching them!
Well, that won't likely be changing because in short order he had passed out and remained in that state until I believe better than half of the next show I tuned in had played.
One of the supporting (Black) actresses has been strikingly familiar to me, but I have not been able to place her. For some reason, I wondered if she might have had a feature role in some 'super-hero' series.
I have just now researched her ─ the actress's name is Nicole Beharie, and I see now why she is so familiar. She had a lead role in the T.V. series Sleepy Hollow.
The next show I tuned in was The Kettering Incident ─ episode four ("The Mill") of the sole season. I must now admit that lead actress Elizabeth Debicki has truly 'grown on me' ─ I'm starting to be very attracted to this tall, lanky young woman. There was a scene where she stripped off her blouse to make a tourniquet, and the bra-full she displayed was almost impossibly luscious for someone so otherwise slender ─ she's almost scrawny at six feet and three inches.
Despite my brother's lengthy unconsciousness, when The Kettering Incident was done, he requested something short, so I tuned in the American Ghosts ─ episode five ("Halloween 2: The Ghost of Hetty's Past") of season two. I finally blew up at my brother for his senile stupidity because he kept wrecking the show with stupid comments and even questions ─ for instance, a vendor in the opening of the show who specialized in making pickles out of anything, got himself invited to Jay's unintended Hallowe'en party. Well, by the time "Randy" presented himself at the impromptu party, my brother no longer had any memory of him and believed him to be a new ghost.
When I attempted to explain who he was and only got incomprehension because my brother could not even remember the opening farmer's market scene, I'd had my fill of his drunken obtuseness.
He shut up thereafter.
I was to drink two further cans of Cariboo Malt and one of Bumper Crop Crisp Apple Cider before finally getting to bed. I hope that it was well before 3 a.m.
Morning for me began around 8:30 a.m., but I had a rough go of it from shortly after 7 a.m. due to what was primarily a hangover. My brother never emerged from his bedroom until after 9:30 a.m., so I was in control of the T.V. by then.
When he joined me, I used our Android TV Box to play a four-minute (4:38) video published yesterday at Rumble's WTFLouie channel: Failed Assassination Attempt on President Trump 16-Jul-2024.
New information from Greg Reese.
Then it was an excellent 56-minute (56:15) interview streamed early today at Rumble's ZeeeMedia channel: Harry Fisher - Paramedic Reveals Covid Injection CARNAGE.
Paramedic Harry Fisher joins Maria Zeee to discuss the truth about what the health care industry has experienced during covid, revealing the complete destruction of humans by the COVID injections, still causing carnage to this day.
This interview was so darned good that I decided to post it to my Facebook.
After watching it, my brother and I got halfway through a two-part movie, but I will not report on that until we are done with it.
My brother wanted some bed rest, for by the midway point of the movie it was around noon.
I had a light enough first meal of my day, but my brother emerged from his bedroom to leave to socialize before I had yet pursued a needed nap.
When I roused after my nap, I was torn about sunning, for the sky had heavily hazed over. I finally resolved to forsake it for today, since this was a bath day. I expect the Sun is going to be around tomorrow, after all.
But the day has been so oppressively muggy!
I have a wee a.m. five-mile+ walk scheduled for overnight, so I intend a fairly early evening bedtime.
However, first I chose to have a Cariboo Malt and watch Black Lightning ─ episode 16 ("The Book of War: Chapter Three: Liberation") of season three.
I thought that perhaps this might be the series finale the way the episode was wrapped up, but I see that there is one further season.
I just now discovered why the actor (Wayne Brady) portraying the "Gravedigger" character is so damned familiar ─ he's a comedian, and one of the members of the improvisational team on Whose Line Is It Anyway?
It's probably been a couple of years since I last saw an episode, so maybe that's why I could never place the guy.
Incidentally, I watched the episode here on my computer at this link at Supernova.to that played perfectly.
It is now 9:44 p.m., and my brother has been home since just past 9:30 p.m. My bedtime is here.
