Worst Movie I've Seen in Memory

Man, I slept poorly last night! Even my early afternoon nap was illy slept ─ I don't know what's going on.

I probably rose around 4:15 a.m. overnight, and soon was downstairs to give a movie a shot that my younger brother and I had once tried to watch a month or so ago, but gave up because we believed that it had been faultily collated ─ sometimes it happens that a movie on the Web will have been butchered and reassesmbled in illogical sections, unintentionally.

Well, apparently the disconnection and jumps and shuddering were intentional ─ that's what the fool director wanted. I would have been furious if I had been paying at a theatre to see this travesty.

You can try the movie for yourself, for it's on YouTube. I wanted to watch it because it featured Jennifer Lawrence.

The movie was 2010's The Burning Plain. I sat through the first third of it where the stupid director then began rolling credits as if the full movie was done ─ and even the credits occasionally jumped as if the film was faulted. I quit the damned thing when it began playing from the very beginning.

Sure, I did jump ahead a few times, sometimes seeing already seen footage, but I supposed there was added material. However, it was a senseless mess. Even the ending was unfathomable. I have since read Wikipedia's description, but there is no way on Earth that a casual viewer who knew nothing of the plot would ever have understood what was going on.

Provided the YouTube link remains valid, you can give the movie your own shot here: The Burning Plain 2008 Full Movie Jennifer Lawrence Movies. But believe me, even if you are a Jennifer Lawrence fan, you've got to have some desperation to sit beyond that first third and then re-watch all of that crap over again, possibly interwoven with some additional footage to double its previous length.

I returned to bed quite soon after 7 a.m., and remained there for over an hour before rising again ─ not too much before my younger brother emerged from his bedroom to go downstairs to watch T.V.

When I joined him after 9 a.m. and relatively soon got his invitation to put our Android TV Box to work, I led things off with a 12-minute (12:26) video uploaded yesterday to YouTube's AnitaK channel: No one wants to play Liberal Leader and Trump can smell the fear!

The race for Canada's next Liberal leader is turning into a game of "not it!" as potential candidates hesitate to step forward. What’s causing the hesitation—party challenges, public sentiment, or something deeper? Meanwhile, south of the border, Donald Trump seems to thrive on the chaos, and he can smell the fear in the political air. Is Canada’s uncertainty adding fuel to his fire?

Then it was two published yesterday to YouTube's Redacted channel:

Owen Shroyer: Is this Trump's influence on Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg? | Redacted w Clayton Morris (15:37)

The CEO of YouTube yesterday said that YouTube is the bastion of free speech where the world's most pressing debates thrive about fell out of my chair when I heard that. And overnight, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's CEO, says they're ditching their fact checkers.

"All the homes are gone! These cities have been wiped off the map" LA Wildfires chaos | Redacted (43:06)

Rather oddly, I can find no trace of the video we were to watch next. Did it get scrubbed in the interim since then?

After that one we watched a 38-minute (38:31) video uploaded November 20, 2019, to YouTube's Talasbuan channel: Off Grid Life | Winter day at the homestead.

The video follows a day in the life of a homesteader, who is dealing with a heavy snowfall. They discuss their work, their plans for the future, and their use of Patreon to support their channel. The video also features a demonstration of needle binding, a traditional craft.

And finally we watched a 45-minute (45:05) video published December 13, 2020, to BitChute's bluedemon218 channel: Ted Bundy.

Ted Bundy (November 24, 1946 – January 24, 1989) was an American serial killer who kidnapped, raped, and murdered numerous young women and girls during the 1970s and possibly earlier. After more than a decade of denials, before his execution in 1989 he confessed to 30 homicides that he committed in seven states between 1974 and 1978. The true number of victims is believed to be higher.

What a disturbing prick! It's unfortunate that none of the women had studied offensive self-defence. But one of his victims was only 12 years old, poor thing. People saw him pushing her into his van and even driving along a highway with her, yelling at her beside him, but they just thought it was an angry father with his daughter.

My brother sought some bed rest afterwards, and then headed off in his van on one or more errands. I was to bed after a meal, attempting a nap. Meantime, my wife who had today off work, was to rise.

I am still not completely aright following the seizure of food poisoning or whatever else afflicted me late Saturday afternoon or earliest evening. My hunger is still rather subdued, as is my ability to assimilate anything I eat.

As well, I find myself suddenly becoming short-breathed, and I realize that my breathing has been inadequate ─ it has become so shallow that I have to make an effort to fully aerate my lungs.

In addition, there is sometimes the threat of dizziness when I am newly standing.

I am certain some of this has some relationship to how inadequately I have been exercising of late, not going on my regular long (five miles and more) walks since developing plantar fasciitis or some other condition in my left foot late in November.

This was a bath day, so in the latter afternoon while my wife was out shopping or whatever it was she was doing, I decided to have a naked weigh-in. Even though I had eaten earlier, and was mostly through my day's third coffee, I was only 176 pounds ─ heck, that is a good weigh-in at the termination of one of my Sabbath fasts when I am ravenous!

Yet I was not even remotely interested in food ─ as I type these words in the early evening, I am still not hungry, but my wife has dished me up a hearty helping of some of the supper she has prepared.

If she was not home, I would have likely gone forth this evening to do some very local grocery shopping.

I have just taken a pause for a little exercising, including some presses with a 42½-pound dumbbell ─ three with each arm comprises enough of a set for me. I had five such sets, I believe, alternated with some knee / quadriceps stretching.

I now feel a little more deserving of this supper I have been delaying.

It is presently 6:33 p.m., so I am going to take a longer break from this post.

♥♥♥♥♥

My brother showed up before 7:30 p.m. ─ far unexpectedly early, so I may as well just publish this. I had something else I wanted to talk about, but there is no time.
