Dream Lottery ... Right!

Though I did rise to my 6 a.m. alarm and a little later did some watering of front yard garden flowers ─ those sheltered (by the protruding roof overhang characteristic of this house) from any of yesterday's rain ─ I forsook tool shed exercising so as to best ensure that I would get out and make the mile-long round trip hike to No Frills that opens at 8 a.m. for some grocery shopping.

My younger brother was to emerge from his bedroom around 7:45 a.m., but he was seated out of sight at the dining table reading when I left here at 8 a.m. or barely just past, so he was unaware of my departure.

Thankfully it was overcast ─ I might not have gone otherwise.

My bad right knee is seriously damaged. I cannot see how I can improve any further while living here, shut up in this prison that is my home in this overpopulated South Asian section of Canada.

Absolutely nothing works in my favour ─ not even slightly. I have so little money anymore, yet last month on August 19 I dared gambling $115 by cheque in mailing off an entry for the BC Children's Dream Lottery ─ I dared not add that toll to my crushing VISA credit card balance, and thus the mailed cheque.

But by mailing a cheque, I knew that I would miss out on the August 22 deadline for the first bonus earlybird draw.

Well, guess what? The next such draw's deadline was September 5 ─ and still my damned cheque has not been negotiated! Even that prize of $50,000 would have freed me of the worst of my debt bondage, and left me some money besides to get through next year's three worst annual billings for utilities, home insurance, and property taxes.

There is just one more bonus draw, and the deadline for that is September 25. Will I even have an entry before then for that?

What the 𝒻𝓊𝒸𝓀'𝓈 going on with the people handling the accounting for this lottery?! I feel almost sick over this as I type these words, for I am so deeply desperate.

This is a bath day, so I am going to break now at 5:55 p.m. and take care of that. I will have had no exercise today, nor was sunning a possibility ─ but I had no spare time for it regardless.

⭐⭐⭐

Stripped down for that bath, I was only around 176 pounds ─ that quite surprised me, for I was certain I had piled on more poundage since whenever I last weighed myself.

With the bath done, I tuned in a show that turned out to be longer ─ 1¼ hours ─ than I anticipated. It was Severance ─ the series finale episode ("Cold Harbor").

I went through two cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol), and basically loved this episode, even though I detested its non-conclusion. What was to happen thereafter? We are evidently not to know.

Oh, thank God! I just saw that there is to be a third season!!!

One scene I got a powerful kick out of was when the huge underling of the Lumon organization was kicking the shit out of "Mark S." and then just about to throttle the life out of him, when the 'shepherdess' intervened and was meeting the big guy with blow to blow ─ nothing Mark came anywhere near doing. I loved it!

I knew I had discovered who the actress was in a previous episode, so I kept mulling over who Hell she was again because I had forgotten. And then it dawned on me ─ she was the very tall actress probably best known as her role as the woman knight on Game of Thrones: actress Gwendoline Christie. Now the physicality of that scene made some sense.

I sure felt sorry for the character of actress Dichen Lachman at the finish of this episode when it looked like her husband was running off to be with character "Helly". So I'm truly thankful that there is to be another season.

If interested, my source was this uFLIX.to link.

The show ended right around when my brother must have returned from his daily outing to socially drink somewhere ─ 8:45 p.m. or so.

I am going to hasten to bed because I want to be as confident as possible that I will be rising at 3 a.m. for an outing for exercise at the elementary school playground, as well as work my leg with further walking. Heck, I have neither supped on my day's second meal, nor brushed my teeth.

This had best pay off somehow.
