It certainly is nice being able to 'sleep in' until 6 a.m. The only reason I set my alarm for then is to ensure that eventually I have my token backyard tool shed exercising before my younger brother emerges from his bedroom for the morning.
My wife's friend / employer must be giving her extra days to work at the Thai restaurant where my wife normally works part-time, for apart from seeming to have only worked the latter part of Friday, she has had full days since.
She only got back on Wednesday or Thursday from her six weeks or so to visit her mother and other family over in Thailand.
She rose this morning around 9:40 a.m. while my brother and I were watching T.V. via our Android TV Box. I had led us off with an eight-minute (8:35) video uploaded yesterday to YouTube's AnitaK channel: These are not decent Canadians…on the killing of Charlie Kirk.
I followed that with a 20-minute (20:16) video published September 11 to Rumble's WTFLouie channel: Dr Lee Merritt on Parasites, Vaccines & National Security 08-Sep-2025.

Then came Bergerac ─ episode one ("A Message for the Rich") of the second season or series.
And we finished with a show I had previously downloaded ─ My Family. This time it was episode three ("Desperately Squeaking Susan") of season or series three. I expect that I downloaded the episode from this Internet Archive link.
This was a cloud-free day, so I dearly hoped to get in some sunning. However, I had a somewhat large first meal of my day; and then instead of getting to bed for my needed nap, I pursued corruption. Thank Heaven I did not blow away up to three hours as often happens, so I was likely able to get to bed around 1:30 p.m. for about an hour or so.
I forgot to look at the time when I commenced my sunning, but it had to have been after 3 p.m. Even so, I put in over an hour.
When I came back into the house, I had some short conversation with Bev who utterly surprised me by revealing that she had just come in from a walk to a nearby 7-Eleven. She blew me away even further by claiming to have made the walk occasionally before.
Honestly, I truly believed that she never leaves the house except when my brother drives her somewhere on an errand or some other business of hers once or so a week. Sure, at best 7-Eleven might be a distance of a block, but if so, then her walk there and back would be nigh a quarter of a mile.
Anyway, after the brief conversation I then came upstairs here to my bedside computer and began blogging, taking a break soon after 5 p.m. for some light exercise in my wife's vacant bedroom.
I want to get up at 3 a.m. for a walk to the nearby elementary school playground for some exercise, so I dare not be sitting up too late into the evening. But right now I m going to take a break to round up a very light supper, and then I hope to watch a couple of shows here on my bedside computer while enjoying a couple of cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol).
Right now it is 6:41 p.m.
🟤🟤🟤
My first show was The Handmaid's Tale ─ episode 12 ("Postpartum") of season two.
My brother and I used to follow the series back into possibly 2019, but maybe only late 2018 ─ I cannot remember. Back then I failed to record how much of it we were watching.
Since he often passed out, this time around I deemed it purposeless to renew watching the series with him. Besides, I am having to guess where it was that we left off. Unfortunately, I vaguely recall some of this episode, so I have begun my re-watch earlier than need be.
No matter. I enjoyed the episode regardless. My source was this uFLIX.to link.
Next I selected The Guardian ─ episode 21 ("The Chinese Wall") of the first season. Man, I am grateful that the seasons are long with this series ─ I just love it!
My source this time was this GOOJARA.to link.
I am sad to report just now discovering that the actress (Patience Cleveland) who portrayed Alzheimer's patient "Rose" died 20 May 2004, just over two years after the episode was released. What gets me is that she looked like she was in her 80s or even her 90s, but she was only 73.
I will have my 76th birthday in under a month, yet in this episode, Rose looks chronologically like she could have been my mother.
Anyway, that string of images is from this Wordpress blog small biography of her.
Why is my life being wasted as it clearly is?
I must start wrapping up and getting to bed if I hope to be rising at 3 a.m. and being at all productive. Right now it is 9:37 p.m.
