Reckoning

Although I had risen to use the toilet during the night, checking the time at 1:26 a.m. as I returned to bed, I managed to gain some further sleep before my 3 a.m. alarm sounded to get me up for my planned ¾-mile round trip walk over to the elementary school playground for some pull-ups and chin-ups.

I had not heard my wife come home, but her car was here. Maybe she had done some partying.

Anyway, just before I left, a weigh-in dressed exactly as I would be while exercising had me down to about 183 pounds ─ two less than Monday. Perhaps this was the psychological turning point that had me get back on track with my opening set of pull-ups that had seen me drop a repetition on Monday to only five.

And so, with a 30-count between sets: two sets of pull-ups (six and two reps); two sets of chin-ups (three in each set); two sets of pull-ups between a pair of half-rings (two in each set); and a final set of a single pull-up.

Then after another 30-count I performed a dead hang for a 100-count. This put me back to where I had been prior to Monday's surrender at (I think) an 85-count.

Of course, after a couple or so minutes I managed 10 full-range decline push-ups on a nearby metal ramp.

It may be needles to say that the equipment was perfectly dry ─ these numbers would not likely be achievable otherwise.

I cannot recall my bedtime thereafter for some further sleep. It would be nice if it was no later than 5 a.m., but I am only wishing. I rose again at just about 9 a.m.

That surprised me ─ it was comparatively late; and as feared, my younger brother was already downstairs watching T.V.

I soon enough joined him; and when his invitation came to put our Android TV Box to work, I led off with a half-hour video streamed yesterday to Rumble's ZeeeMedia channel: Activists Want Mangione Freed, Teachers Fired, Republicans Coming For Speech | Daily Pulse Ep 108.

Deranged activists demand release of Luigi Mangione after judge tosses terrorism charges, over 100 teachers in Texas will have their Certificates suspended and face permanent ban from Public Schools after celebrating Charlie Kirk’s assassination and calling for more violence, and Republicans are issuing alarming calls to aggressively come after "hate speech."

We were only to get past the 18-minute mark because my brother has no interest in all this fuss over Charlie Kirk, for he never heard of him before, and since he does not access any social media, he has no idea of what the woke crowd say about Charlie Kirk's murder.

So accommodating him a little reluctantly, I tuned in a 56-minute (56:26) video streamed two days ago to the same Rumble channel: False Flags to Trigger World War 3? ft. Martin Armstrong | Daily Pulse Ep. 107.

Two NATO countries have now claimed Russia entered their airspace with drones. Martin Armstrong says this was a false flag aimed at triggering full-scale war with Russia, with a stark warning that they are about to cancel currency and switch to CBDC's worldwide using World War 3 as the catalyst.

We both are fans of Martin Armstrong, so we remained with this video.

After that I tried something new. It was Winners & Losers, the first season and series premiere episode: "Covert Aggression in Netball".

Actress Melanie Vallejo is devastating in a tight short dress and heels!

Initially I could tell that my brother was strongly resistant to the show, but he held off overtly objecting. I think he began warming up to the characters once he recognized who the four main ones were to be, and he got to understand something of their stories.

So I believe we will be continuing with the series on a regular basis hereafter ─ I was prepared to watch it on my own if not.

Our last video was a movie that I had previously downloaded, but we never got 40 minutes into it before my brother wanted to return to his bedroom for further rest.

It's nearly two hours long, but it's dramatically good ─ and Australian, oddly enough. This sequence of three consecutive Australian-based videos is entirely coincidental, and not planned by me.

I had eaten breakfast soon after returning from my early outing, so I was able to get to bed for my afternoon nap by noon at latest.

My wife evidently had today off work, so she never seemed to rise for the day until after I had gone to bed.

Having her home was to cost me $150 that she purportedly needed for some due bill. Since she has been away for five weeks to Thailand, she has not had an income ─ I understand that. But I cannot do more without a truly severe penalty to myself. I just do not have the available income.

The day has been sunny, but with what is likely a haze of smoke that makes everything appear rather rosy. Even so, around 3 p.m. I did go out into the backyard to get some Sun exposure. I was out there for a little over an hour, but I wore runners and my sweat pants; and although I had my shirt on for the first ¾ of the time, I had it open.

When I returned into the house, my wife was gone. She had said that she was going to be seeing her eldest lad who lives in Burnaby with his girlfriend, so I expect that is where she went. I think the young man had or will have a September birthday ─ possibly his 32nd; so maybe this has something to do with my wife's visit to see him.

At present it is 6:55 p.m. and I recently finished some light exercise in my wife's vacant bedroom. Right now I am going to collect together a fairly light supper to eat, and then I will watch a couple of shows here on my bedside computer to justify a couple of cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol).

I will not be rising any earlier tomorrow than 6 a.m., by the way. So back in a while.

🟣🟣🟣

Before I started to watch anything, my brother arrived back home from wherever he had bused to engage his daily social drinking.

First up was Shades of Blue ─ episode six ("The Reckoning") of season three. I am sure I saw the episode before, but I just do not know where it was in the series that my brother and I left off back in 2019 or even late in 2018 when we had watched the last available episode at that time and then never got around to returning to it.

Rerun for me or not, it was exciting enough.

My source was this GOOJARA.to link, although I did attempt this OK.ru source but quit it due to how wretchedly poor the video quality was.

My second and final show was The Carrie Diaries ─ episode 10 ("The Long and Winding Road Not Taken") of the first season. My source was another GOOJARA.to link.

Every time I tune in an episode, there is this perception that I am in for mundane pedestrianism.

Yet every time, the episode excels ... mostly. The series has some flaws, but I have not the time to get into that.

I actually got emotional when young supposedly 14-year-old 'Goth' Dorrit ─ as portrayed by actress Stefania LaVie Owen ─ shared in her very first kiss with a lad she liked.

The actress was actually born on December 15, 1997 ─ so pretty close to the end of the year. When that series was first filmed, she might have been 15 years old, but that was at very most ─ she could well have been 14.

I find myself becoming something of a fan of the lass.

It is late enough ─ I cannot spend further time on this post; I must spend the 15 or so minutes to brush my teeth (with coconut oil) and try to then hasten to bed. Right now it is 10:27 p.m.
