Just Drive

My cellphone alarm was set for 6:30 a.m. this morning, but I could easily have remained in bed longer.

A half hour or so later when I went out front to water the flowers all below the roof overhang where the rain never reaches, the sky was heavily overcast and it was darned cool. I could even feel the vaguest and barely perceptible mist-like rain.

This was a token pull-ups and chin-ups session day out in the backyard tool shed, so I next ventured out there to get the single repetition in each of the half dozen sets over with, along with the 31 full flat-footed squats to help challenge my damaged right knee. There was also a 60-count dead hang after the descent from the very last pull-up, by the way.

If it was not me experiencing it, I would find it unbelievable how painfully difficult it is for me to do just a single pull-up. I am deteriorating rapidly now in my old age. What I really need are proper exercising tools and the private setting to use them.

By the way, my wife had not come home last night.

It was probably nearing 8:30 a.m. when my younger brother emerged from his bedroom to watch T.V. and have instant coffee. As usual, though, I never joined him until around 9 a.m.

At his soon invitation to put our Android TV Box to work, I led us off with a nearly hour-long (59:58) video published yesterday (but recorded on Monday) to Rumble's Libertytalkcanada channel: Canada Now Censoring Musician's SONGS If They Don't Like The Words!! (Full Interview).

My country music star guest Jayme Knyx plays an audio recording to show this newest Communist Canada atrocity! This is the full episode. If you want to share the short clips version it is here: https://rumble.com/v6zf856-canada-now-censoring-musicians-songs-if-they-dont-like-the-words-a-must-see.html

Darned if this wasn't far better than I ever expected ─ and the three back-to-back music videos at the end were magnificent. The first celebrated the 2022 Ottawa Freedom Convoy and it had me quickly tearing up ─ if my brother was not present, I would have likely cried.

Next I tuned in Chicago Fire ─ episode 15 ("Damage Control") of season 11.

Thereafter we managed to get in less than a half hour of a rather good movie that I suppose we will likely have to finish watching on Saturday, so I will remain silent about it until it is completely watched.

Naturally, we had to break from it this morning so that my brother could return to his bedroom for further bed rest.

I fixed up and ate my day's first meal; and it was at least 1:30 p.m. before I was back to bed for a nap. There was too little sunshine today for any sunning ─ and good that was, for I never rose from my nap until maybe 3:30 p.m. Clearly I needed it.

I soon got to work blogging, breaking to have some light exercise in my wife's vacant bedroom. I had another break a little later to round up my day's second and final meal, my supper.

I am going to break again now at 7:06 p.m. and watch a movie here on my bedside computer that may be hard to follow because so much of it will be in French with no subtitles, but it includes a fairly substantial early (2008) acting role for Annie Murphy.

🔴🔴🔴

Well, I fast gave up on the movie. I need subtitles in English. Early on the young woman ─ teen, actually ─ who is probably the central character engages in a lengthy voice-over as we watch her moving about in her home. Obviously she was detailing something, setting the groundwork for what was ahead, I suppose. But without knowing what she was explaining, going forward was pointless.

So I shut it down and instead tuned in Blood Ties ─ episode 10 ("Necrodrome") of the first season. My source was this GOOJARA.to link.

The episode was okay. My main kick is just enjoying Christina Cox and what I can get of Gina Holden. I wonder if Gina could possibly still rock that Goth look today, especially with her dark hair done up into a pair of Minnie Mouse-like ears? Such eyes, too!

I didn't dare try to watch anything else, nor have a second can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) ─ best I get to bed so I can handle rising at 3 a.m. for an outing to the elementary school playground.

It's late enough now at 9:55 p.m., so I had best start wrapping up and shutting down programmes and browser tabs.
