I am feeling rather poorly today, so I do not plan to say too much in this post.
I had my early a.m. walk, but it was preceded by too little sleep. I had my usual initial pull-ups ─ four sets on the gymnastics-style rings at an elementary school playground early into my walk that saw me manage what have become a sticking point of repetitions: 6 - 2 - 2 - 2.
However, I soon enough began to grow very listless, and took a slow pace. Attempting to jog was out of the question. And during my final couple of miles, I wished that I could just be climbing into my bed and sleeping ─ I had nothing left. No energetic reserves whatsoever.
At least I was able to stick to an original plan to withdraw $300 from my chequing account to lessen temptation for my wife in case she got involved in partying after work today that might lead to her exercising her gambling addiction.
This was the coolest night thus far in this part of the year, so I expect that things will only get colder.
I think that it was something like 4:23 a.m. by the time I was standing outside the locked front door, and I was back into bed ere quite 4:50 a.m.
Sleep was not easily gotten, though. Yet I did not later check the time and begin my morning until around 9 a.m.
I should mention the 2015 Christmas movie that I watched early last evening, even though my wife was home unexpectedly: A Christmas Melody. Actress Lacey Chabert was a delight in the lead role, but so was the youngster (Fina Strazza) playing her daughter.
I would write more of the movie, but I am suffering eyestrain that seemed to kick in following my early afternoon nap. I had earlier watched a couple of Christopher James' (A Warrior Calls) videos with my brother, both of which were recorded yesterday:
⭕ 4 Truths Destroy Evil (47:44 minutes in length)
⭕ Kidnapped, Tortured, Interrogated. (41:48 minutes in length)
That latter featured Kaysha Richardson, whom I previous have believed to be Kaysha Dery.
The afternoon was a sunny one today, so after my early afternoon nap I was out in the backyard in my cutoffs where I sat in the sunshine for at least 73 minutes, beginning at 1:59 p.m. ─ even though initially I was uncomfortably chilly.
I also was feeling that eyestrain that was associated with what I could almost believe to have been a mini-stroke. I found myself unable to remember names of several people, and even had to struggle to recall my wife's actual first name (she goes by a nickname). Something was definitely amiss with me today ─ usually I try to identify singers of the songs playing on the radio that I play when I am sunning, but those names were impossible to dredge up this afternoon.
Possibly I am suffering from a migraine aura that did not affect me with the usual vision trouble.
It just seems that travail after travail beset me these past three or so years, and it is becoming worse. And today is my 73rd birthday!
I was tickled when my wife was about to leave for work this morning ─ she came to me where I was reclined on the chesterfield and watching T.V. Leaning over me, she kind of pinched together the corners of my mouth and softly wished me a happy birthday.
The poor gal never managed to work a full day at the Thai restaurant, however. She was back in the latter afternoon. Reportedly, earlier today she had eaten an extremely hot chili that was in a dish that another Thai woman had prepared, but my wife thought that it was a small tomato.
Thereafter her mouth, throat, and stomach suffered tremendously, and she was soon afflicted with diarrhea.
So she has been home now as I type these words shortly after 7 p.m.
My younger brother never said aught this morning concerning my birthday ─ I am curious if he has actually forgotten. We shall see once he is home later this evening. Will he be presenting the typical bottle of rum that he usually gifts me on this day?
I have to quit this post ─ the eyestrain is too much.
