Despite my expressed desire at the conclusion of yesterday's post, I ran out of time to risk watching a Christmas movie. I needed to be free to get to bed and not necessarily feel obligated to watch any shows with my younger brother once he arrived home from his daily socializing (beering).
I was not to set my cellphone alarm for any earlier than 4:30 a.m., since my morning plan was simply to do some early grocery shopping. My destination was going to depend (I thought) on how I fared walking with whatever the blazes is amiss with the inside of my lower left leg ─ I have self-diagnosed the issue as a high ankle sprain, although my ankle itself seems okay.
The affected region ranges from the soft tissues neighbouring the ankle and stretching nigh halfway up the inside lower leg adjacent to the shin. That stretch of tissues burns, and my ankle is hidden due to swelling that has included my foot. Although the foot does not seem markedly larger than the right foot, it is sufficiently puffy that it is pretty much free of the visible veins that I can easily enough see across the top of my right foot. Also, if I turn my foot sideways, I do not have the characteristic wrinkling of skin that the right one has about the instep.
The event that brought on this affliction on the evening of October 10 was simply rising from a fairly low comfort chair in the living room while I was alone watching T.V. Due to my bad knees, after I have sat for a while, and because I do not like using my hands to assist my legs in rising up, I was concentrating my effort and slowly making an ascent when the alarming burning erupted just above my ankle and seemed to spread about the area such that initially I believed that a major blood vessel had burst.
I actually went to bed early that evening ─ maybe 10 p.m. at worst ─ because I had plans for a walk that required me to rise at 2 a.m. to begin readying. I like to leave home by 2:15 a.m. for these approximate 5½ - 5¾-mile walks.
Well, I kept that self-imposed obligation; and although I was listless and sapped of any drive to walk apace, I managed the distance without limping despite the burning.
However, since that time, I have not resumed that distance, settling instead on walks that were well below two miles. I only undertake the walks after 2 a.m. twice a week (Tuesdays and Fridays); early Sundays are reserved for some grocery shopping. One grocery market is not quite a mile from here; the other is almost three miles (I like to say that it is a round trip of 5.625 miles).
Thus far since the debilitation, I have not made that longer walk ... but it has only been two Sundays to date.
Apart from that first walk just a handful of hours after the acute event of the evening of the 20th, the couple of short walks thereafter found me dealing with limping. With effort I could hide my limp very briefly if I tried, but overall it was too painful to not use the awkward gait. Any activity that requires a stretching of that part of my leg ─ such as going down stairs ─ is problematic. However, if I am careful, I can do calf- or heel-raises as long as I do not try to raise my heel to maximum. That requires too much strain of the muscle or tendon that has been damaged.
When I had my walk early Friday a.m., I put in well over three miles. The first half of the distance saw me adopting a very good pace without noticeable limping, but the burning was starting to become more pronounced after better than 1½ miles, so I made the choice to stop my progress and return home.
So this morning I wondered if I might be able to handle the distant grocery market ─ three of the essentials I seek to keep in stock are far less expensive than at the nearer market.
I deemed it a requisite to be getting on my way comfortably ahead of 6 a.m. so that I could walk leisurely (the store opens at 7 a.m.). Unfortunately, as is far too often my norm, I did not get away until several minutes after 6 a.m.
And early into my dark walk, I took the time to stop at an elementary school playground to perform three sets of pull-ups and chin-ups (I am stuck at a maximum of three pull-ups in the opening set, and two repetitions in the others).
I did not push myself on the walk, and my damaged leg felt comfortable enough. Even so, my pace was such that when I was approximately 1½ miles from home, a check of the time revealed it to be 6:50 a.m.
There was no way that I could possibly make it to the distant market within reasonable minutes after it opened ─ and it becomes crowded fast, for it is a major market (Real Canadian Superstore).
The damaged area of my left leg was burning a little more than it had been earlier, but not by much. I could have done the distance, I believed; but I just did not want to be shopping as late after 7 a.m. as would be the case, nor did I care to be walking back home that much later into the morning.
I hate being public, and the welcome darkness would be gone soon enough.
So I just detoured and sought the nearer market that was less than a full mile from home. And I was back here reasonably early after 8 a.m. Since it takes about an hour when I am able-bodied to walk to the Superstore, had I tackled the greater distance, I expect that I would likely not have been back home before 9 a.m.
Even a Sunday gets busy around here by then ─ I want nothing to do with being abroad at that point.
But if I continue to make these relatively marginal improvements, and provided that I finally manage to get away well ahead of 6 a.m., I figure that I ought to be capable next Sunday of making the longer hike to shop and stock up on those three less expensive items.
We shall see.
I was back to bed this morning by 8:30 a.m., I think, and I probably spent about an hour ─ possibly in some slumber. By then, my brother was watching some T.V. news, so I joined him. And when at his invitation he had me put our Android TV Box into action, I led us off with a YouTube video of nearly 1¾ hours' (1:44:48) duration that was originally uploaded by HerbsPlusBeadWorks back on March 10, 2016: How To Make the AntiNano Device.
Herbalist shows you how to assemble the AntiNano bucket.

My brother and I had just recently watched an Odessa Orlewicz video at Liberti.com in which Odessa interviewed a woman who was going to host a workshop to show interested people how to make and use a similar device. But it would cost to attend the workshop.
And now here is one Tony Pantalleresco detailing freely how to make a similar bucket ─ over 6½ years ago.
My brother and I were to only watch one further video, one which was not quite an hour long (56:46) and had been uploaded to Rumble by Open Mike with Michael Thiessen on September 17: Dr. Francis Christian: Fired for Questioning Covid Narrative.
In this episode, Mike is joined by renowned surgeon Dr. Francis Christian to talk about why he was fired for speaking out against the COVID narrative.

Truly, heads must roll over what has been going on since early 2020 ─ that is all I shall say for today in this context.
My brother was to pick up his girlfriend Bev around 1 p.m., so he sought some bed rest ere heading away on that drive.
I had a fairly small first meal of my day and then had a short nap ─ again, I was probably only down for an hour. The day was overcast, although I do recall some sunny breaks in the latter morning. But it is fairly chilly, and I did not feel like spending the time sitting outside under a clouded sky in the afternoon just to benefit from some daylight. My early walk will have to have sufficed where being outdoors is concerned, even though I did not get much exposure to actual day.
I would still like to try and watch a Christmas movie, so I may see if I have the time. However, I still have to have a bath, and I also must make a post in my private blog.
Thus, time will tell.
