Before my younger brother was home last evening, I was able to watch the final Good Witch movie ─ 2014's The Good Witch's Wonder. A far fuller description of the movie is at TheGoodWitch.Fandom.com here.
Since I am badly pressed for time, I will only say that I enjoyed it, and I was relieved that the thief as played by Rachel Wilson turned out to be honourable. I thought that she was quite attractive, so of course I was rather rooting for her.
I broke open the 40-oz bottle of dark Lamb's Navy Rum that my brother had presented me two evenings ago on my 73rd birthday, but I only had a couple or so ounces which I drank slowly during the movie.
Once my brother was finally home after mid-evening, I again put our Android TV Box to use and we watched an episode of Batwoman. We are still into season one, so this was episode 16 ("Through the Looking-Glass").
I get so fed up with this DC b.s. about super-heroes being so ridiculously hung up over taking some evil bastard's life. Of course, it often only extends to the head villain ─ all of his or her underlings can be demolished in any fashion necessary, for they are not actual 'people'.
So bloody phoney and contrived!
We next watched one of the old Edgar Wallace Mysteries ─ December 1961's Never Back Losers. I had to resort to this OK.ru link for a source.
Lead actress Jacqueline Ellis looked pretty darned cute as a cigarette girl. The young actress definitely had lots going for her.
The enjoyable short movie or film was then followed by an episode of Animal Kingdom ─ this time it was season five's episode 10 ("Relentless"). That episode certainly had a shocking outcome!
Our final bit of entertainment last night was an episode of The Kominsky Method. This time it was season three's chapter 21 ("Near, Far, Wherever You Are").
My wife had gone out early in the evening, and returned after my brother was home. I thought that she seemed rather subdued.
Just before I retired for the night (she and I have separate bedrooms), I checked my chequing account online and was most unhappy to discover that she had taken $200 from it ─ I only had $235.80 in it to begin with.
I had meant to withdraw at least $100 from it tonight to lessen the odds of her being tempted to rob from me for gambling, but once again she must have gotten the jump on me.
When she left for work this morning, she offered without prompting that she would make a deposit to replace what she took. It has not as yet happened, however.
It seems that me getting out three time a week is just not often enough where making safekeeping withdrawals are concerned. Maybe I am going to have to get out and do those withdrawals whenever I have the money there, and not await the next time I leave home.
I do not drive, so I normally tend to just get out on foot three days per week.
Anyway, when my brother and I watched some T.V. this latter morning, all I was to tune in was a "We The People - Constitutional Conventions" upload to Rumble that was evidently recorded yesterday: Jesse Hal interview with Dallas Hills Oct 12th.
I have not before heard of either gent.
The video description is far too lengthy for me to care to reproduce it here, and the video itself was three hours in duration. As it was, my brother and I knocked off before it concluded, so we still have approximately a half hour of it remaining.
Dallas Halls is deep into Natural Law as opposed to Common Law, and is critical of many of the people my brother and I often watch in the realm of 'freedom fighters'. I was quite surprised.
Oh, crap ─ my brother seems to already be home, and it is only just after 7 p.m. This leaves me no choice but to end this post here.
