I watched no movie early last evening, for I discovered that the choice I had made was listed as exceeding two hours, and my younger brother was likely to be showing up from his daily socializing.
That said, though, it actually sounds like a movie he might be amenable to watching.
And now I am torn over this ─ maybe I should save it for one of our 'togetherness' evenings. That will not be happening this evening, unfortunately ─ I plan on getting to bed relatively early so that I can rise at 2 a.m. to ready for one of my 5½-mile walks.
He surprised me last evening by staying conscious throughout all three series episodes that I tuned in via our Android TV Box.
The middle of those shows was another movie in the old British Edgar Wallace Mysteries series. Last evening it was January 1963's The Set Up.
It was a good episode.
I was actually glad that the duped burglar (a newly-released convict) never actually killed the woman who intruded upon his set-up burglary; and I found it deeply satisfying that when he broke into a home later on in order to hole up, and then the young blonde solitary homeowner showed up, she actually believed his innocence and decided to help him.
I just wish that the viewer was to learn if they would later become a couple ─ that was never followed up, and it would have made for a wonderful conclusion.
We watched the movie on T.V. by using one of the browser apps downloaded into our Android TV Box, and specifically I tuned it in at this link at OK.ru. There are other sources as well.
The third show we were to watch was an episode of Shoestring that I was having considerable doubts about finding a source for ─ episode eight of the first season. Most fortuitously, it was uploaded to YouTube on February 6: "Stamp Duty".
By the way, just two days ago I learned that Trevor Eve ─ the actor portraying Eddie Shoestring ─ is the father of beautiful actress Alice Eve! But she wasn't even born when her father starred in this two-season series.
I was somewhat surprised that my brother wanted to call it quits at 11:45 where our T.V. viewing last night was concerned. I actually had to wolf down at least half a can of the strong (8% alcohol) malt that I keep in stock for these evenings. It was my second can, and I had been stretching it out so as to last me into the midnight hour.
I was to make an unsettling discovery concerning finances and my wife when I checked our joint accounts online before going to bed. I do not want to delve into it ─ all I will say is that it involved $70 that was debited, but which put a life insurance payment of over $399 into jeopardy and would have accrued yet a second $48 NSF charge from our financial institution.
Suffice to add that I was so enraged at my wife (who is presently in Rome, Italy, visiting a sister of hers who lives there) that I sent her a condemning message via Facebook that was fiercely harsh.
It turned out that my wife was innocent for a rare change, if she is telling the truth. It was an automated TFSA debit that simply transferred the $70 into a special account. She transferred the amount back, and things were as before.
But I did not learn of this until this morning.
Meantime, I had a wretched night's sleep fretting over our financial predicament and the disarrayed state of our marriage.
Perhaps that was partially behind why I failed to achieve what had recently become the ceiling I had been reaching where concerns the six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups that I challenge myself with three or four days a week out in the backyard tool shed.
I weighed myself while fully dressed just before going outside to that shed, and I was registering at 195 or even 196 pounds ─ that also may have had a negative effect upon me.
At any rate, my repetitions in the six sets were 4 - 3 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2.
Sure, I had been managing to add one further repetition in that third set, but this morning I just could not find the reserves to attempt it.
Thus, perhaps I simply had too much going against me this morning, and my next visit to the tool shed will have me back where I had been.
That is not going to be happening tomorrow. My walk will see me doing six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups at an elementary school playground where I will be wearing boots and a fairly bulky jacket, so my best repetitions in those sets are three in the first and two in the next five sets.
I tend to weigh around 200 pounds fully clothed for those.
That is a lot for a 73-year-old!
Today is a bath day, so I wish to conclude this post. My eldest stepson must have had to work a 12-hour day shift today (6 a.m. to 6 p.m.) ─ it is best that I have that bath before he gets home from work and takes occupation of the bathroom.
Maybe I will manage a movie before bedtime or my brother's arrival home.
Before I close, I wish to mention some videos my brother and I watched this morning on T.V. via our Android TV Box.
First off was a 12½-minute livestream two days ago to Rumble's What's Up Canada? channel: Did scientists just declare a brand new human Species?
#SpoileralertHost Wayne Peters does come up with some strange topics.
I sometimes genuinely hate being correct, this is one of those times.
I find it very disturbing, you will also. Conspiracy "theorists" are being vindicated yet again and real life takes ANOTHER page out of Hollywood. This will be another unbelievable plot twist for most. As our world lives out another psychopathy and further departure from reality... the closer to the brink of no return we get. The insane and dark manifest their fantasy into becoming our reality, this time the Borg ARE coming...
I then tuned in the February 10 addition to Rumble's Liberty Dispatch channel ─ it was nearly 1½ hours in length: Arrested for Attending School ft. Josh Alexander & James S.M. Kitchen.
On this week's episode of OPEN MIKE, Mike is joined by student walkout organizer Josh Alexander, who was recently arrested for attending school, and his lawyer, LCC chief litigator James S.M. Kitchen to talk about his recent arrest and the unfolding legal situation.

Josh Alexander v. Renfrew County Catholic District School Board: https://libertycoalitioncanada.com/liberty-defense-fund/josh-alexander-v-rccdsb/;
Alas, my brother did not wish to watch the full video, so I cancelled out of it just shy of 28 minutes. I was enjoying the programme, however, and would have sat through all of it.
The third video was posted to Rumble two days ago ─ this time, to the Mariazeee channel, and it ran for 46 minutes: Dr. Ben Tapper - HUGE Lawsuit Filed with RFK Jr. Against BBC, Associated Press, The Washington Post, Reuters!!!
Dr. Ben Tapper joins us to discuss the HUGE lawsuit filed against some of the world’s largest legacy news organisations, such as The Washington Post, the Associated Press, Reuters, BBC, and more with plaintiffs including Dr. Tapper, RFK Jr., Dr. Joseph Mercola and others.

Finally, we watched a Dr. Joseph Mercola video published on BitChute on February 8 which ran for over 1¼ hours (1:18:19): Fitness Strategies That Are Creating World-Class Champions- Interview with Sam Calavitta.
In the video above, I interview Sam Calavitta, aka Coach Cal, founder of The Treigning Lab. We met through a biohacking conference in the fall of 2022. One of the organizers of the event introduced me to Miesha Tate, a professional and former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC Women's Bantamweight champion) and mixed martial artist who in turn introduced me to Coach Cal.
Sam Calavitta, aka Coach Cal, founder of The Treigning Lab, has put together much of the health science I've been teaching over the years into a unique training program that is getting extraordinary results.
The most central strategies are those that optimize ATP production (energy production) and mitochondrial function.
ATP (the energy currency of your cells) can be produced in three ways: aerobically in the mitochondria, anaerobically in the cytosol, or through phosphocreatine. Of these, the phosphocreatine pathway is the most effective in terms of boosting athletic performance, as it allows your body to use D-ribose, adenosine and phosphate to form ATP within your body at a higher level. Near-infrared light also boosts ATP production.
Mitochondrial function must also be optimized, or energy production cannot be elevated. Effective strategies include near-infrared sauna therapy and intermittent fasting.
Other strategies that help optimize fitness and athletic performance include sun exposure, boosting NAD+ with low-dose niacinamide, a cyclical ketogenic diet, intermittent fasting or time-restricted eating, addressing elevated iron levels, methylene blue and molecular hydrogen.
It was quite technical at times, but the range was sufficiently wide that my brother hung on for the entire programme.
I had no idea that Miesha Tate was back in the ring somewhere! I am going to have to find some videos of her ─ the young woman was gorgeous.
Gosh, all of that took more time than I had budgeted for ─ no movie this evening for me.
