The Predators Among Us

Twitter: Ryan Martin

It seems to me that I was to bed last evening ahead of 9:30 p.m., unsure if my younger brother had then arrived home from his daily socializing ─ both of my stepsons were home, so I could never tell just who was opening the front door.

I had plans to rise at 2 a.m. for another of my 5½-mile walks, and thus did not intend any involvement with my brother who would be looking to me to operate our Android TV Box for some evening T.V. with him. Otherwise, he has to make do with what is available via our basic cable package.

When my 2 a.m. alarm did sound, I was into one of my wakeful periods, but the alarm was nevertheless alarming (as is its purpose, of course).

I was to find that my youngest stepson was still up, but I managed to sneak off without his detection; and it was 2:15 a.m. when I had 'hit the road'.

Everything outside was wet from recent rain; and for much of my walk, I was to be feeling vague spittings of rain that never even began to dampen my clothes.

As usual, at a fairly nearby elementary school playground, I stopped to essay six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups, managing three repetitions in the first set, and two in the next five. The effort very much invigorated me, for I had till then been carrying over some of the lethargy of body and mind concomitant with being so newly from my bed.

Incidentally, I did not mention yesterday that I had my usual exercise session out in the backyard tool shed, and in the six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups that were the major portion of that challenge, I managed the following repetitions in the six sets: 4 - 3 - 3 - 2 - 2 - 2.

Yesterday I had weighed around 195 pounds fully clothed as I was out in the shed. Last night after I got home, I went directly to the bathroom scales and registered 200 pounds.

So considering that I am 73 years old, and not quite five feet and 11 inches in height, I suppose those exercise numbers are not too very shabby.

There was nothing of note to report concerning the walk, except for having a skunk cross my path at one point and decide to precede me along my route.

This of course caused me to lose some time because I was not going to risk attempting to overtake it and pass it by. I had to wait for it to find an opening in the shrubbery lining the walk that allowed it to disappear. Even so, it did take a little nerve to walk past that area, since the way was unlit and I was unable to see if the skunk had kept penetrating the shrubs and was safely removed, or if it was there near where it had disappeared.

I was back home outside the locked front door at 4:10 a.m., so I had been gone five minutes short of two hours.

And I was likely back to bed ere 5 a.m., even though I knew that any sleep would not be easy. My eldest stepson had risen just as I was retiring, so he likely did not know that I had been up. It seems that he had a shift today at Tree Island Steel, working from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. ─ it is a fairly long drive from where we live in Surrey.

My morning was to begin just after 8 a.m., by which time my younger brother was up and reading the Saturday morning edition of the Vancouver Sun that I subscribe to.

He did not finish occupying himself afterwards with some accounting until maybe 9:30 a.m. and then turned on the T.V., but he was to leave about 20 minutes later to pick up his girlfriend Bev at 10 a.m. to drive her to work.

Once he was back from that errand, I put our Android TV Box to work and tuned in the February 2 upload to Rumble's Action4Canada channel: The Predators Among us with Dr. Ann Gillies.

WARNING: SENSITIVE MATERIAL

Tanya Gaw is joined by Ann Gillies, PhD, a trauma specialist and ordained pastor, to have a frank conversation about the “Damage Done by the Predators Among Us.” The world has gone mad as citizens fall prey to the rising normalization of perversion in our society, grooming our children to accept pedophilic interests. Dr. Gillies provides a historic, academic and social overview of pedophilia and the sexualization of our children.

Dr. Gillies is founder of www.restoringthemosaic.ca, a ministry which seeks to educate and inform politicians, community leaders and pastors across Canada to Restore the Mosaic of our God given identity: individually and nationally.

There are other links in that video's description, but I had to limit the copy & paste ─ if the subject interest you, such as with home schooling help, please refer to the video link.

Ann Gillies and her adult children certainly went through a lot ─ full respect to her for relating that harrowing tale!

And now ─ whether or not I will manage to remember the terms ─ I have a clearer awareness of the distinctions between pedophilia, hebephilia, and ephebophilia.

The video ran for a little more than 1½ hours (1:35:59), so my brother and I did not lock ourselves into watching anything further. And in fact, he left around 12:30 p.m. to get an early start on his daily socializing, citing having some interest in a pub meat draw somewhere.

I had my day's first meal, and was soon enough back to bed seeking a nap. When I rose from that, I found that my youngest stepson had finally risen.

I have not noticed any rain this afternoon, and the last time I checked, temperatures were at least 7² Celsius ─ exactly what I enjoyed during my walk last night. I was very comfortable wearing a denim jacket over my sweater and tee-shirt.

My early evening has begun, so I am either going to try and gear myself up for the half mile walk to a nearby pharmacy to stock up on nutritional supplements; or else I will watch a movie.
