I neglected to mention in last night's post that when I took my evening hike, I stopped at the elementary school playground intending to just have three sets of pull-ups and chin-ups. But when despite being so well dressed up, I was able to squeeze out five pull-ups in the first set, I could not resist undertaking the usual six sets.
So five and then two pull-ups in the first set; three and then two chin-ups in the middle two sets; and two pull-ups between a pair of bars in the final two sets with the very last pull-up held for a 15-count.
Could it really have been something like 3:45 a.m. when I got to bed? I didn't get up until just after 9 a.m., feeling as if I drank far more than just two cans of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol) and a shot of Kraken Black Spice Rum (47% alcohol) over the time I watched T.V. with my younger brother.
When I rose, my brother was busy readying to leave and probably catch a bus to take him to the nearest ICBC centre in the hope that he would not have to wait too insanely long in a lineup of walk-ins so that he could get his driver's licence back following a three-day driving suspension.
He never did return home, so maybe he got his licence, and then arranged to go to wherever the impound yard is so that he could bail out his van.
Anyway, this meant that we never watched any T.V. together this morning. I did attempt to tune something in on Rumble.com, but that media platform was offline all morning.
I felt too short on sleep ─ or else wasted ─ to care to try and get in any early exercising, so I had a midday meal and then a nap.
Then around 2:30 p.m., my wife showed up.
I have been hoping that in lieu of getting her anything for Christmas, I might somehow be able to get together $500 to give her instead so that she could put the money towards one of her debts ... if she had the good sense.
But as is the case far too often, she imposed upon me early this evening to 'loan' her $200. Consequently the $500 gift is now an impossible dream.
"In other news", I did watch something on T.V. ─ an episode of The Rookie. It was my pre-supper excuse to have a beer. I watched season five's episode 16 ("Exposed").
Since I intend to be getting up at 1:30 a.m. tonight to begin readying for a five-mile+ walk, I expect that I will likely be getting to bed around mid-evening. I am still feeling rather in need of some sleep. Unfortunately, I only rarely manage to remain asleep for any length of time, but one never fully knows how things will turn out.
