Despite my financial resources being under question, last evening's shopping at Save-On-Foods as I was coming home during my five-mile+ walk included a $115 expenditure for a three-ticket pack of entries for the BC Children's Hospital Choices Lottery ($100) as well as a two-ticket pack of entries for its 50/50 draw ($15).
My younger brother was home and watching T.V. when I was back here.
When he eventually turned the T.V. over to me so that I could put our Android TV Box to work, I first tuned in an episode ─ actually, the series finale ("Allison's House") ─ of Kevin Can F**k Himself.
It was a bleak, dark episode; and the finish was rather inconclusive. As well, it practically implied that a lesbian relationship was developing now between Allison and Patty. I did not appreciate that.
My brother correctly pointed out that actress Annie Murphy certainly evinced little trace of the sexy persona she presented in Schitt's Creek.
And shoot! I just found out that Annie's Schitt's Creek co-star Emily Hampshire will not be appearing in a second season of Chapelwaite ─ I have been awaiting that second season. However, evidently the series was cancelled.
My brother and I also watched an episode of The Graham Norton Show ─ episode 15 of season or series 31. What a beautiful re-discovery of Ron Howard's daughter Bryce Dallas Howard! I know I knew of her existence previously, but since then I entirely forgot anything about her ─ and as a consequence last night, I was surprised to hear on the show that the beautiful redhead was Ron's daughter.
The human brain and memory can be so fallible.
I believe that the episode ended well into the midnight hour, so I queried my brother if he preferred that we next watch a sitcom ─that is, something short. He concurred, so I tuned in an episode of Barry ─ season four's episode three ("you're charming"). Barely into it, I noticed that my brother had passed out; and he not only remained so for the duration, but even after I turned the Android TV Box off and turned the T.V. over to its basic cable package.
I had been willing to sit up longer, but not while my brother was not mentally present. I would not sit up late like that by myself.
So I came upstairs to my bedroom, and was soon enough to bed. Even so, I now cannot recall just when ─ probably 1:30 a.m. or even later. At least I had only drunk two cans of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol).
My morning was to commence ahead of 8 a.m. And not only did I later gain access of the T.V. after 9 a.m. ahead of my brother's advent from his bedroom, but he was not to come downstairs until something like 10:30 a.m.
By then I had already watched the remaining half of the Rumble Action4Canada video that we had broken from yesterday that was titled "Legal Action Updates and Exposing Agitators Within the Freedom Movement. With Tanya Gaw & Ted Kuntz Feb. 7, 2024", but I had also just begun a recent video at Rumble's A Warrior Calls channel: Lawyers Judges and Police Will Not Escape Justice.
It offered nothing of note as far as I was concerned. I then tuned in his (Christopher James Pritchard's) interview with Dr. Carrie Madej, but I only watched it for a short time, shutting it down when it became apparent that she and Christopher were merely hyping the MasterPeace product.
Look, I have no idea or not whether the product's claims are all legitimate. All I know is that I blew over $100 Canadian on a couple bottles of the stuff for just better than two months' of use, and did not detect even one tiny benefit or difference in my well-being during that period.
I cannot afford to be throwing away over $50 a month for something that I have to believe on faith is doing me any good ─ I bloody needed to see results! Christopher is so damned gullible that he sees improvements in absolutely everything in the alternative medical field that he tries ─ how is that even possible? It is not. It is imagined.
He is highly suggestible ─ there can be no other explanation.
So any of his videos devoted to MakePeace or FLFE or similar products are a monumental pass for me ─ I do not have the disposable income to be party to this 'New Age' protocol. He may know Common Law and be exceedingly respectable in that area, but he is clearly in the grip of New Age cultism.
Maybe what is touted about these products is verifiable. But if there is no detectable difference after two months of more than a $100 investment, then enough is quite enough. I need my money.
After my brother sought some bed rest at the early part of the noon hour this fairly rainy day, I had a filling meal and was into my own bed in the early afternoon ─ maybe by 1:30 p.m. ─ for a needed nap.
My brother meantime left for the day to socialize.
I was to be robbed of some very needed sleep by the sound of the doorbell that brought me awake. Initially I thought that my brother was still home and had answered it, but I decided to check and realized then that I was home alone.
A cautious investigation was to reveal that a laminated handbill had been left outside the screen door advertising for a Baptist church. Without going downstairs right now to check the handbill, I believe that it might be for the Sure Foundation Baptist Church North.
Whatever the case, I could see out in our cul-de-sac at least six proselytizers with umbrellas who were probably in pairs and canvassing the homes, so I am relieved that I did not actually answer the door.
But the damage was done, and I have not felt rested the entirety of the remaining afternoon.
I did consider trying for another nap late in the afternoon, but instead decided to have a strong instant coffee and watch an episode of Black Lightning ─ episode 11 ("The Book of Markovia: Chapter Two: Lynn's Addiction") of season three.
I badly want to try and have an evening walk so as to allow me to bolster my supply of Dairyland whipping cream for my coffee ─ I might also get some ginger root and a large tin of Nescafรฉ Rich instant coffee, but I do have two of those tins on hand.
Presently it is shortly after 7:30 p.m., so perhaps I will consider today's post complete. Should I undertake this 5.625-mile round trip, my brother will likely be home (if he does not show up before I make my getaway) and I will not have any further opportunity to work on this post.
My eyes are burning from overuse and inadequate rest, but I have had absolutely no exercise whatsoever today ─ this walk feels imperative for its activity sake alone.
