Portrait of Yesterday

It was cold out last evening! Thankfully there was not even a breeze, or it would have been excruciating. I left here around 8 p.m. on the 1½-or-so-mile round trip walk to deposit my brother's monthly expenses reconciliation cheque at my financial institution's ATM; and on the return walk I stopped at the elementary school playground maybe three blocks from home.

I only intended a set of pull-ups between a pair of the gymnastics-style rings, but I found myself to be feeling excessively over-trained and thus could only bear two or three pull-ups. I attempted a loose hang at the conclusion of the final pull-up, but due to the fairly recently added new sawdust base with the 1½ or so inches of snow piled on top of that, I found it impossible to keep the toes of my feet off the ground ─ it required far too much bending of my knees, and that detracted from my ability to focus on the hang.

So I went to the jungle gym monkey bars and tried a hang from two of the rungs. The rings were coated with plastic, but the rungs were pure metal. My bare hands could bear no more than a 10-count, so I had to stop. I wouldn't have been able to have a proper maximum hold if I had tried wearing gloves, so I just gave up and came home.

My left foot's plantar fasciitis (or whatever is wrong with it) did suffer some aggravation from the walk, and it's still feeling some burning inflammation today, but I will not be having another outing until tomorrow evening, and it will again be local ─ no five-mile walks for me!

My younger brother had still not gotten home last evening once I was back here, so I had plenty of time to get set up with our Android TV Box and the T.V. for our three shows that we were to watch.

My wife was to arrive home a little ahead of my brother following her full workday; he of course had to use transit from wherever he had last been social drinking. Midday or so today we set him up online with an appointment for the afternoon of February 18 to have his driver's licence restored to 'full colours', for earlier that day he is hoping that the six-month mandated term of having an ignition interlock device installed on his van will have been lifted.

However, my suspicion is that he is being premature about having made the appointment concerning restoration of his licence, for he has had several 'fails' in which the ignition interlock device recorded him to have attempted to drive when he still had excessive alcohol in his system.

To my thinking, they will milk this to further penalize him. I am thinking that they want absolutely NO fails, for they will likely be deeming that someone with a driving-restriction alcohol problem should not ever be drinking so much as to be unable to pass the challenge of the ignition interlock device. That he will have several different fails may not seem a big deal to him, but it will be a red flag to the nanny state and its allies.

Well, we shall see. Meantime, he must keep busing each day when he goes social drinking.

Last evening he may have remained conscious through all three of the shows I tuned in, which were in this sequence:

I did not in the least expect that the prime politician portrayed by actress Keeley Hawes was going to be killed off. In fact, I still am doubtful that it happened ─ I think that it is a plot ploy to keep her safe from further attempts on the politician's life. I know that I could read ahead to find out if I am right, but I will not.

By the way, I had to use the Web to find a Bergerac source that I could be confident was not a misfiled episode, so Archive.org became that source: Bergerac S01 E06.

I was to drink three cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) overall, and was likely to bed at 2:30 a.m. ─ probably 1¼ hours after my brother.

He was up ahead of me this morning, and already watching T.V. when I rose reasonably soon after 8 a.m. Even so, I never joined him until a little past 9 a.m.

The first video we were to watch after my brother turned the T.V. over to me so that I could put our Android TV Box to work was 18 minutes (18:21) and had been published yesterday to Rumble's Libertytalkcanada channel: BREAKING: Pilot Admits To Dumping Toxic Chemicals All Over Humanity- Didn't Know He Was Being Taped!

Audio then video. Please share this one widely!

Our second video exceeded an hour (1:08:47) and had been streamed January 29 to Rumble's Man in America channel: Dr. Makis EXPOSES Big Pharma’s SICK Vaccine Scam—RFK Jr. Must Act NOW!

Join me for an important discussion with Dr. William Makis.

After that, I tuned in a long (1:05:21) video we had begun yesterday, I believe, but broke from so that my brother could have his bed rest before he went out to help his girlfriend Bev on a major errand. The video had been uploaded last June 26 to YouTube's Viral Bear channel: Moments You MUST SEE To Believe ! 🀯

There were some that were spectacular, but often the clips are so brief I couldn't even tell there was anything of any interest happening. Others were just lame. This was the third hour-long video we have watched at this channel, and I am still debating with myself whether it is worth the bother.

There was one further video that we began at the end of our morning, but again I had to suspend it because of my brother's need for bed rest. I will cite it once we have watched all of it.

I resisted having my nap because I knew he wanted to get registered for that appointment to have his full driver's licence reinstated. I was also rather hoping that maybe he planned to be heading out to replenish his beer supply, but I was to find that he was not yet that in need.

My poor wife only had to work the latter part of today ─ she had been told last night not to come in for a full day because this exceedingly cold weather is keeping people at home, so the restaurant is not very busy.

I never finally sought my nap until shortly after 2 p.m., and failed to rouse and rise until 3:30 p.m. By then, she had long gone to work.

I was hoping that she and I could work together on filling out her passport renewal application for tomorrow, but she never provided me the details for two non-family references. But maybe I can complete everything else this evening.

However, I will not be sitting up late because I want to avoid involvement with my brother ─ I only watch evening T.V. with him three times a week as a rule.

Late this afternoon and into earliest evening I watched a show on my own ─ The Rookie. It was episode five ("The Vow") of season five.

I had been feeling morose for napping while my wife was readying and then leaving for work ─ the guilt had me so down that if I did not intend to work on her passport renewal application, I would have tuned in a Christmas movie and done some drinking.

With that said, I am going to publish this post now and see to my wife's application. It is 8:26 p.m.
