I confess to a huge amount of T.V.-watching, but that's only because I am effectively housebound due to my environment. If I lived somewhere secluded where I could go forth at any time of day and be free of the presence of throngs of people in every bloody direction that is the case now, then I would hardly ever be spending the time watching the telly that I do now.
I did venture forth last evening to make the $160 withdrawal I spoke of in yesterday's post, and I also did a little shopping at Save-On-Foods very near to my financial institution. So it was maybe a 1½-mile round trip walk in the inch or so of snow.
My ailing left foot increasingly worsened by the time I was on the return walk, and here at home it was burning each time I had to move about here in the house in bare feet. Plantar fasciitis, or deep and extensive bruising, I do not know. But I have now exceeded two months with this debilitating condition limiting my ability to go walking, for I incurred the malady around November 27.
Last evening I opened the first can of beer in my final flat of 24 cans. I am going to have to do my best to hitch a ride with my brother if he goes to replenish his own supply tomorrow or the day after, for I cannot handle the four-mile round trip walk ─ not when it involves toting back 20 pounds of beer. At least if I go with my brother, I can then buy four dozen cans (40 pounds) ─ a weight of beer that even in my peak I could not likely walk back home for two miles.
I was back home last evening before he showed up from his daily social drinking. He had missed the bus he wanted, so he had to take an alternative that was more roundabout, and which left him a final walk of four blocks. Thus it was long past 10 p.m. before he showed up ─ maybe even after 10:30 p.m.
I thus had control of the T.V. under the agency of our Android TV Box, so when he was finally back, I managed to play an episode of three different shows.
First up was the premiere episode ("Black November") of the old T.V. series Route 66. There seem to be a few sources for the series via YouTube, but I think that I used this source at the channel Shout! Studios: Route 66: Black November | Season 1 Episode 1 (Full Episode).
I truly enjoyed it! And it was the only show that my brother managed to retain full consciousness for.
He fairly quickly surrendered his sensibilities during the next show, The Avengers ─ season two's episode 24 ("A Chorus of Frogs"). My source for the episode was this OK.ru link.
By the time the episode finished, it was pretty darned late. Regardless, I found myself in the mood more than I usually am to drink, so because my brother was passed out, I tuned in yet a third show ─ Juliet Bravo. The episode was season one's episode four ("Coins").
Anyone interested can presently watch the episode at this OK.ru link, which was my source.
My brother only roused towards its conclusion, announcing that it was late enough and thus time for his bedtime. I did not expend much time before also getting to bed, but I cannot cite the time ─ could it have been around 2:30 a.m.?
I had not only drunk three cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol), but also a glass of red wine.
I was up this morning by around 8:30 a.m. at latest, and had control of the T.V. at 9 a.m. because my brother never emerged from his bedroom until nearer 9:30 a.m.
We were to watch two videos this morning, beginning with a 29-minute (29:11) video published yesterday at YouTube's AnitaK channel: Feds Appeal Emergency Act Ruling and Trump Tariffs with Eddie Cornell.
LINK TO COURT HEARING:
https://cas-satj.zoom.us/webinar/regi...The Canadian government is appealing the court’s ruling on the Emergencies Act—what does this mean for Canadians? Plus, Trump is doubling down on tariffs that could have a major impact on trade with Canada. How will this affect businesses, consumers, and our economy?
Joining me is Canadian veteran Eddie Cornell to break down the latest developments, the legal battle over government power, and the potential consequences of Trump's trade policies.
I was under the mistaken assumption that the second video was maybe 1½ - 1¾ hours long ... but late into it when noon was approaching I discovered that it was just in excess of 2¾ hours (2:48:34). It had been streamed on January 30 to Rumble's Vaccine Safety Research Foundation channel: VSRF Live #162: Planet Lockdown with Catherine Austin Fitts.
This Thursday on VSRF LIVE, Steve sits down with outspoken medical freedom fighter and global investment expert, Catherine Austin Fitts!
Catherine is an American investment banker, former public official, and former managing director at Dillon, Read & Co. She also served as U.S. Assistant Secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President George H.W. Bush. With years of experience in finance and government, Catherine has become a leading voice in exposing large-scale government fraud and mismanagement.
Her groundbreaking 2004 study in World Affairs revealed troubling evidence of massive financial corruption and the illegal diversion of wealth into secretive, unaccountable channels. Catherine has long been a critic of the unchecked power of shadowy groups manipulating public institutions for private gain at the expense of the public good. She was also a central figure in the controversial documentary Planet Lockdown where she aired her views on the connection between the COVID 19 pandemic and government fraud she has been studying for decades.
It has now been three consecutive days (I believe) that I have been unable to tune in the half or so remaining of a documentary that my brother had me break from late last week, and I want to get the darned thing played and out of the way.
So perhaps tomorrow. As yet I do not have anything excessively long planned for us to watch.
In other news, we still have the inch or more of snow that accumulated yesterday, and it is going nowhere ─ temperatures are remaining below freezing.
Even so, after my brother went out with his van midday on whatever errand(s) he involved himself with; and after he returned, he still headed away on foot to catch a bus to carry him off to engage his daily social drinking.
In his absence, the mail brought a letter from the R.C.M.P. that is addressed to him. Could it have anything to do with the six-month mandated term that his van has had an ignition interlock device installed? Supposedly the six months end in less than two weeks, but I have a hunch that all of that nonsense is probably a provincial matter unrelated to the R.C.M.P.
I am rather curious to know what the letter is about, but I won't be finding out tonight ─ I am not going to be involved with my brother and any late T.V.-watching.
Now concerning my wife, when I left last evening on my walk that was to see me do some grocery shopping at Save-On-Foods, I had asked her if she wanted me to get anything she needed, but she said no.
Well, at 6:04 p.m. this evening, she texted me to ask if I was happening to be going to the store this evening, too? I had to disappoint her.
She had a full workday today at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, so she rose around 9:30 a.m. this morning to begin readying for her day and left shortly after 10 a.m. on her rather long drive.
I will not likely be seeing her this evening, unless she gets home ahead of my brother. Once he is home, I shall shut myself up here in my bedroom where I keep this computer.
Last evening she discovered that her passport expired last May, so she wanted me to look into what she needed to do to renew it. She was hoping that I could make an appointment online for her, scheduling her for this coming Thursday. But that is not how this process is carried out.
She will have to show up under 'first come ─ first served' rules. But at least we could have her application filled out online and then printed. That will not be possible this evening, of course. Unfortunately, I do not know if she also has to work full days tomorrow and Wednesday. If she does, then tomorrow night I will have to get the information from her that is required to complete a renewal application. For me, the primary block in doing this are the details I will need concerning the two people she wants to name as her references, for they cannot be related to her by blood or marriage.
Now about T.V., I did watch a show early this evening ─ FBI: International. Specifically, it was season three's episode seven ("Andiamo!").
Although later I will be getting to bed relatively early, I have no plans to get out in the early a.m. to walk over to the nearby elementary school playground to exercise there. I still may do it, but I am thinking that it might be best to not aggravate the condition of my left foot in case I choose to go somewhere to shop in that evening. I can always have some pull-ups and chin-ups in the backyard tool shed early in the morning before my brother rises. It will probably be unpleasantly cold, though.
Okay, I am going to publish this post now and free myself up to see to a few other things ere my brother gets home. It is 8:58 p,m.
