A One-Beer Eve

I think that it was a little past midnight ere I got myself to bed, and I rose for the morning nigh 7:30 a.m., I would say.

I watered the section of garden out front that is shielded from rain by a substantial roof overhang all about our open-sided two-vehicle carport, and then I went out to the backyard tool shed for some token pull-ups and chin-ups, and then the usual 31 squats for the sake of my right leg's lower quadriceps. I am hoping that the problem since my March 1st accident is cortical inhibition, and not shorn tendon and/or muscle.

When 9 a.m. arrived and passed, and I could hear my younger brother beginning to stir in his bedroom, I hustled downstairs to take possession of the T.V. before he did so.

And so it was that I had our Android TV Box in operation without needing to have him give me the green light.

First up was a 37-minute (37:26) video published yesterday to Rumble's Libertytalkcanada channel: Federal MP & Lawyer Trying To Save Canadian's Rights To Supplements They Need.

Breaking: Federal MP Blaine Calkins Is Tabling NCI Lawyer Shawn Buckley's Petition In Parliament To Allow Canadians To KEEP Their Health Freedom, and NOT Lose Their Basic Human Rights To Supplements They Want and Need. 3rd LARGEST Paper Petition In Canadian History! Must See Information From Mr. Buckley. Please SHARE!

Next up was a 14-minute (14:30) video uploaded September 30 to YouTube's The Kelsi Sheren Perspective channel: Why Tolerating Cultural Extremism and Double Standards is Tearing Canada Apart | #298.

In this episode, Kelsi Sheren discusses the pressing issue of multiculturalism in Canada, emphasizing the need for assimilation and integration of immigrants into Canadian society. She argues that failing to do so leads to cultural erosion and societal problems, drawing parallels with other countries facing similar challenges. Sheren calls for a more honest conversation about immigration policies and the responsibilities of newcomers to respect and adopt Canadian values.

I followed that with Riverdale ─ episode 14 ("Chapter Ninety: The Night Gallery") of season five.

And we finished up with two episodes of The Adventures of Robin Hood that I had previously downloaded. I download the episodes that we watch from this source at RerunCentury.com: The Adventures of Robin Hood.

The sequence of episodes at Wikipedia and RerunCentury are a little at odds, for Wikipedia claims it is going by the order of release in "the London region". Thus, RerunCentury may be listing them according to their release in the U.S.

Since my source is RerunCentury, I will use its sequence:

  • "The Jongleur" episode 16 of season one (episode 18 Wikipedia)

Quaint but enjoyable entertainment!

My brother returned to his bedroom for further rest following The Adventures of Robin Hood. Due to how overcast it was, I was in no rush for my nap, and never pursued it until after my brother was back out of his bedroom for the day.

The latter afternoon may have become sunny enough that I could have sat outside, but I had not budgeted the time for it.

This was a full workday for my wife at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, although she never emerged from her bedroom until a little past 10 a.m. ─ in fact, she often leaves for work at that point. I think that it my have been just past 10:30 a.m. when she left here this morning on her fairly long drive.

I was to be texted by her in the afternoon, seeking me to transfer her $300 so she could supposedly send it to her mother in Thailand. She claimed that she would repay it when she got paid ─ maybe on Monday.

She had better repay some of it, at the least! There are three mortgage payments this month that I have to be concerned with.

Late in the afternoon I had some light exercise in her vacant bedroom, and afterwards chose to weigh myself while naked because I had eaten nothing yet today by then: I was only 175 pounds. And so I was to have a most nutritious and rather filling supper.

Right now it is 8:13 p.m. and I am going to take a blogging break to watch a show here on my bedside computer while enjoying a can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) ─ this will leave me just one can for tomorrow.

My brother revealed this morning that the government liquor store where we usually resupply from is closed due to a strike of some sort, so it appears that we will be having to handle that resupply at a private liquor store ─ or as we always knew them, a 'beer & wine" store.

Since my brother resupplied already a day or two ago, he likely will not be doing so again until at least Monday. Thus my restriction to a single can of beer both today and tomorrow.

Fortunately I have liquor and wine on hand.

Well, my brother returned home just ahead of 8:20 p.m. from his daily social drinking.

I chose to watch Wynonna Earp ─ episode five ("Holy War Part 1") of season four. The episodes are always interesting enough, if excessively loud for all noises except regular conversation.

My source was this GOOJARA.to link.

My wife was home by the time the episode was done. I decided to take the time to brush my teeth and start shutting down some of the browser tabs, as well as do a few other tasks here on my computer, and finally had to admit that I had no further time to watch anything else ─ so the one can of beer sufficed.

My wife again expressed that she is hopeful about getting paid on Monday.

Tomorrow early a.m. is my usual weekly local grocery shopping expedition, so I shall set my cellphone alarm for 6 a.m. Since it is already 11:02 p.m., I am going to publish this post and finish getting everything in order on this computer so I can get to bed.

Good night.
