I just cannot seem to sleep in until 7 a.m. if I get to bed the other side of midnight. Nevertheless, I remained abed until my cellphone alarm sounded.
Anon I was to have a token six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups out in the backyard tool shed ─ just one repetition in each set. The thick sidebar of the old metal ladder to a small child's slide is simply too punishing to work with. Apart from not being able to grip it due to its thickness, it serves to aggravate even more what I expect is so-called texting thumb in each hand ─ thumb joint pain from constant computer keyboard use.
I may have held the dead hang of the last pull-up for a 55-count, but I can no longer remember.
And then I worked at challenging the atrophied lower quadriceps muscles of my right leg due to my damaged knee. As usual, four assisted partial squats held in the semi-squat for a 40-count each time as I gripped each of the ladder apparatus on either side of me; and then I performed the 31 unassisted full flat-footed squats, holding the very last squat in a full squat for a 100-count before forcing myself to slowly rise.
It was an overcast day, and a few times we've had some rain.
I remembered this morning to set The Graham Norton Episode where my younger brother and I had left off due to buffering at the 14-minute mark a few days ago ─ it was season or series 33's episode two. I found that Taylor Swift came off as being extremely likeable and intelligent ─ as she did when last she was on the show. I also enjoyed Greta Lee whom I am familiar with from The Morning Show where we never see her happy and flirtatious ─ nor wearing a fairly short skirt.
My brother was very late in emerging from his bedroom ─ so very late that my wife rose, showered and so forth, and then left for her scheduled full day of work at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time. For a change she actually left a little ahead of 10 a.m.
Apart from The Graham Norton Show, all my brother and I were to watch was a two-hour (2:06:30) video streamed October 24 to Rumble's Tucker Carlson channel: Cheryl Hines: Stories From “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and Sticking by RFK on His Way to the White House.
If Cheryl Hines hadn’t married Bobby Kennedy, she might never have known just how cruel and intolerant Hollywood is.
My brother and I like Cheryl, so this was a good interview, although he did retire again to his bedroom before it finished because by then we were probably approaching 12:20 p.m.
I was to have my day's first meal and then sought a nap. I rose from it suddenly aware that I seem to be developing a respiratory infection. My brother has been ailing with one for several days, and today marks the third day in which he refrained from busing away in the early afternoon to go social drinking. Instead, he's been doing it here at home with Bev, filling their late afternoon and evening time with World Series playoffs (Toronto Blue Jays vs. Los Angeles Dodgers) and maybe some NFL games for the most part.
And of course, my wife had been suffering something similar just prior to his affliction.
But here I must take leave to try and watch a couple of shows along with some drink and still get to bed early enough to make rising at 3 a.m. for my ¾-mile round trip hobble to the elementary school playground for some exercising there.
Back shortly.

I tuned in Heimebane ─ episode one ("Stolt fortid, stor framtid") of the second season. The series title translates as "Home Ground", while the episode means something like "Proud past, great future".
I strongly enjoy this series, even if I do have to read English subtitles so I can understand the Norwegian dialogue.
Unfortunately I had to rely upon this WLEXT.is link, as I believe I have done for all of season one. There seems no source that does not thrust new and unwanted advertisement tabs and windows before a visitor can finally get an episode playing and made full-screen.
I deemed it to be approaching folly if I watched another episode of any other dramatic series, so I relented and poured myself a shot of Jim Bean Black Extra-Aged bourbon (43% alcohol) and tuned in the sitcom Kevin from Work ─ episode two ("Gossip from Work") of the first season.
This is a truly fun series!
My happy source was this CineGo.tv link.
And so a single tallboy (16 ozs) can of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol) and the bourbon shot are sufficient for me this evening.
I want to brush my teeth with some hydrogen peroxide (possible help against the respiratory development I discovered this afternoon) and coconut oil ─ it could take as much as 15 minutes; and I have a few things here on my computer to clear away.
Consequently, I am going to publish this post now at 9:26 p.m. so I can try to be to bed by 10 p.m., but that may be wishful.
