Danger Present

It was early past 10 p.m. before I got to bed last evening, and my 3 a.m. cellphone was to rouse me, but I rather eagerly pulled myself from bed. I was intent on hobbling the near mile to my financial institution's ATM to deposit the monthly expenses reconciliation cheque from my younger brother.

It was not too much after 3:30 a.m. by the time I was on my way. I was to discover that someone had erected a red tent in the alleyway that opens up beside our home here in the cul-de-sac we live in ─ the alleyway is blocked to motor vehicles near each end, so someone was taking advantage of this.

However, there is a lot of foot traffic through the alley, so unless the probable vagrant was going to risk losing everything, he would have to remain present throughout the day ─ thus, I suspect that the encampment was only for last night.

I had no issues with the cheque deposit, and the only near coincidence I had with anyone was a security guard.

On my way to the ATM, I had skirted the elementary school (where I take some exercise in its playground two or three nights a week) because for what seems like it might be a month now, the rear playfield property that I used to shortcut through has been fenced off.

Well, on my return I decided to test if this was still the case, so I essayed a short path to a rear corner of the playfield, and although the fence seemed present, when I pressed against the section blocking the path, it just swung open.

And so I had my shortcut.

The night air was rather chilly and damp with a clear sky adorned with a bright moon, so the playground equipment was wet with condensation, but I wiped a monkey bar dry with my bandana.

I exercised in my jacket, knowing that fully dressed earlier before leaving home, I weighed 186 pounds. But I had no intention to abuse myself by agonizingly struggling for maximums in the pull-ups and chin-ups I was there for.

And so the opening two sets of pull-ups ─ three and then two reps; then two reps in both sets of chin-ups; and the same numbers for the two sets of pull-ups between a pair of half rings. As always, there was a 30-count between sets. A final 30-count, and I tackled a dead hang for a 70-count.

Then over at the nearby metal ramp a couple or so minutes later, I barely managed 10 slow full-range decline push-ups.

I probably got back to bed barely ahead of 6 a.m., and remained there until later checking the time somewhere around 8:45 a.m.

My brother was already downstairs watching T.V. news shows.

I joined him very soon past 9 a.m., and he was quick enough about turning T.V. control over to me so that I could begin operating our Android TV Box.

My first choice was a 16-minute (16:32) video uploaded yesterday to YouTube's Krayden's Right with David Krayden channel: Will the Carney Govt be Held Accountable? Ostrich Farm Update | Stand on Guard CLIP:

Spirit the Ostrich has d1ed. The farmers explain that the federal agency would not treat the bird with electrolytes and claim the CFIA were caught on video dumping out the electrolyte solution behind a tree.  The situation at Universal Ostrich Farms continues, raising serious concerns about the federal government's unethical treatment of the ostriches the Supreme Court of Canada has put into the CFIA's "custody" in their "stay" order. Has the CFIA violated this order?

The occupation of the farm by up to 100 RCMP officers and the animal cruelty that has been videotaped, the farmers' property rights, the lack of valid testing before proceeding with bureaucratic k1ll order for the ostriches continues to be the issues of the hour at the Universal Ostrich Farms.  The ostriches' fate remains uncertain in Canada. The farm is calling for the dismantling of the CFIA and wants the agency and its people held accountable for what they are doing.

Next was a 17-minute (17:03) video published earlier today to BitChute's Progressive Truth Seekers channel: The $500 BILLION Uranium Rejection - That Crashed France's Economy.

The description is too long for reproduction here, so refer to the link if at all interested.

After that was a 19-minute (19:05) video uploaded yesterday to YouTube's Redacted channel: Trump Just Scored a Knockout Blow -- And they are panicking over the shutdown | Redacted.

President Trump just scored a KNOCKOUT blow against the globalists — and they are absolutely panicking right now. While the media obsesses over “shutdown drama,” they’re missing the real story: Trump has cornered the Democrats, shut off billions in taxpayer funding to corrupt NGOs, and exposed the bloated Washington machine for what it is — a money-laundering network for the global elite.

This is straight out of Trump’s DOGE playbook — forcing the swamp to reveal itself. Even CNN is turning on the Democrats, catching Hakeem Jeffries lying about illegal immigrant benefits. Meanwhile, agencies that fund left-wing causes and overseas “development” projects are being choked off.

That one was followed by The Outpost ─ episode nine ("She Is Not a God") of season three.

And we finished with a show I had previously downloaded: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes ─ episode five "The Crooked Man".

My source had been published January 8, 2024, to BitChute's Adaneth_TV channel: Sherlock Holmes (TV Series 1984) | The Crooked Man (S01-E05).

We were especially engrossed in this rather epic tale, and I believe that both of us were disappointed that it ended without any resolution concerning the fates of the long-sundered erstwhile lovers "Nancy" and "Henry, 'The Crooked Man'". Did he choose to disappear into ignominy because he was a crippled pauper and she now a well-to-do widow?

I can only conclude so.

My wife had a full workday today at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, so she was actually up extra early for some reason, but left at her usual time a little past 10 a.m. on her rather long drive.

Following up on yesterday's blog post concerning her, she gets paid tomorrow.

Today was flawlessly sunny, as was yesterday, but yet again I got no sunshine out in the backyard.

Before I got to have an afternoon nap, my brother emerged from his bedroom following some bed rest and announced that he had some errands to run and that this was my opportunity to resupply my exhausted beer supply.

It was going to have to happen at a private liquor store because the government liquor stores are closed due to a strike of some nature.

So off we went.

His first stop was maybe a block away from the financial institution I had made the pre-dawn cheque deposit at. He had parked underground in another area, so I walked with him to the credit union and took advantage of the chance to finally getting an ATM card activated for my private account that I opened a couple or so years ago. I had never activated the card before it passed some time limit on doing so, so I have never been able to access my account via an ATM. I always transfer money to or from it to my joint account (with my wife).

Anyway, so there was some extra walking for my bad right knee today.

But it was not all.

My brother wanted to do some grocery shopping at Walmart in Surrey Place (Central City). And it was at the private liquor store in Surrey Place that he expected me to do my resupply, having us separate near to it so we could each tend to our needs.

I should here mention that he had parked underground on the far side of Surrey Place, whereas he could have parked outside the back door of the liquor store ─ which spot was immediately adjacent to Walmart.

So there I was having to walk halfway across the mall when it was entirely unnecessary; and then as I feared, we failed to connect with one another. I sat near where we had separated, but he must have passed by behind me (I was seated on one of several benches in the centre of an aisle.

It was a trifle embarrassing for me because I had no tote bag and was carrying a 15-pack of beer in one hand, and a four-litre box of Domaine D'Or red wine in the other.

I finally gave up waiting and headed back towards where he had parked, and met up with him just near the doors ─ he was about to try texting me, for he had put away his groceries and had even bought Bev a box of the white wine she drinks.

She was back at home watching T.V.

This event sure tuckered me out, yet my brother seemed nonplussed and ─ shortly after we were back ─ he left afoot to bus away and go social drinking.

Right now it is 7:36 p.m. and he has been home since possibly just before 7 p.m. I am going to take a break from this post to watch a show here on my bedside computer and have one of my Cariboo Malts ─ and I see that these ones are 8% alcohol. Interesting.

By the way, he informed me that the red tent was still in the alley when he went out for his bus, but when he returned, it had been demolished. I expected that.

🟩🟩🟩

My viewing choice was Superman & Lois ─ episode five ("Girl... You'll Be A Woman, Soon") of season two.

Heck, they didn't even play that Neil Diamond hit!

But it was a very good episode ─ for DC, this is a pretty good series. My source was this GOOJARA.to link.

I considered watching nothing further, for it was early past 9 p.m. Even so, I have no exceptionally early plans to rise tomorrow ─ 7 a.m. may do.

So I selected one more show. This time, Krypton ─ episode four ("Danger Close") of season two. This was a good episode, for I did not at all enjoy the first season, and this second season took a bit of time to gel. I suspect that this was the reason the series failed.

My source was again a GOOJARA.to link.

And then everything went wrong ─ I let time and ill behaviour run right away on me. There will be no rising at 7 a.m. by way of a deliberate alarm.
