No Sleep Mad Women

Although I rose at 3 a.m. for my outing to the elementary school playground, it was not to take place. I became so immersed into Facebook posting that time ran away on me. All dressed to go, I went downstairs and then noticed the time ─ 4:23 a.m. Normally I am back home by about then.

I got so far as unlocking and opening the front door, and then the realization struck that I would be risking encountering the earliest of the morning work commuters while out there, and the thought was sufficiently demoralizing that I allowed defeat to take me over and call off the venture.

It was unthinkable to remain up until daylight to have some token backyard tool shed exercising, for I had not slept well during the final couple hours of my night, and had in fact visited the toiled a little ahead of 2 a.m. for urinary relief.

And thus it was that I was likely back in bed by 5:15 a.m. It is possible I remained there for in excess of three hours, at which point my younger brother was downstairs to drink coffee while watching T.V. news, and also occasionally breaking to tend to the laundry he was involved with. Fridays are his laundry days.

A little past 9 a.m. I joined him and was fairly quickly invited to begin operation of our Android TV Box, at which point I led us off with a 15-minute (15:10) video uploaded yesterday to YouTube's AnitaK channel: Now the CFIA are coming for the Peacocks + Global News scuttlebutt!

Then I chose an hour-long (1:04:58) video published yesterday to Rumble's Action4Canada channel: Islam Must Be Stopped: No Sharia Law — With Tanya Gaw & Congressman Randy Fine Nov. 19, 2025.

Congressman Randy Fine, serving Florida’s 6th Congressional District, joined Tanya Gaw to discuss actions being taken in the United States to address the threat of Islam. Congressman Fine has been on the front lines battling radical ideologies, from Marxist incursions to bills that protect children from LGBTQ+ grooming and medical mutilation in Florida.
Recently, he introduced the groundbreaking No Sharia Act (H.R. 5512), a bipartisan-backed bill designed to make absolutely clear that Sharia law—or any foreign religious legal system—has no place in American courts, government agencies, or public institutions. As Congressman Fine boldly stated: “Let me be crystal clear: Sharia law has no place in the United States of America. We cannot and will not allow for foreign legal systems to undermine our Constitution.”

After that I tuned in the movie we had watched around 32 minutes of yesterday, but we never got to finish it ─ with maybe 20 minutes to go, my brother begged off so he could return to his bedroom for further bed rest.

I cooked up a good and quick breakfast that I ate here at my bedside computer, and before I was to bed for my early afternoon nap, my brother was to actually emerge again from his bedroom and leave afoot to catch a bus to take him social drinking. It was after 2 p.m. before I pursued that nap.

This was to negate my motivation for the usual light exercising in my wife's vacant bedroom, for by the time I resorted to it, the room had become too gloomy (I do not use the light in there). I lost heart, but at least I did have the four assisted partial one-legged stationary squats to challenge my damaged knee and the atrophied quadriceps at their attachment to it. Four sets of those for a 50-count each.

I have been finding myself considerably dispirited since my afternoon nap ─ I feel I have badly failed the day. Perhaps a Christmas movie can give me a boost ─ some alcohol as well.

It is presently 5:49 p.m. and I have the time for such a movie. I am hence going to break from blogging for now, and return to finish up in the latter evening.

⚫⚫⚫

Even though I felt negative about my movie choice, it turned out to be a heart-warming and at times hilarious well-acted romp that I would happily watch again come Christmastime next month!

It was 2018's No Sleep 'Til Christmas. There are undoubtedly better quality sources, but I watched it at this OK.ru link, and managed to hold myself to a solitary can of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol).

I give this movie very high marks.

Lead actress Odette Annable was unknown to me, although she did seem familiar. Yet nothing about her acting credits makes that seem plausible. I wonder if it is because I could see a little of Arielle Kebbel in her expressions? Whatever the case, I sure became drawn to her.

The movie probably finished around 7:20 p.m., and as yet my brother was not back to keep Bev company watching T.V. downstairs.

My second show was Crisis ─ episode 11 ("Best Laid Plans") of the only season. And it was darned good. But I am sick of constantly seeing the mastermind villain ─ I want the prick dead.

My source for the show was this GOOJARA.to link.

The show did an excellent job of helping further divert me from my earlier low point, as likely did a second can of beer. And it may have brought me to at least 8:25 p.m., if not a little later. Still no presence of my brother to keep Bev with some company.

My final bit of entertainment was Whitney ─ episode 17 ("Mad Women") of the first season. It's a little difficult to find a decent source that plays without issue, but despite my doubt this Putlocker.tv link came through.

Whitney Cummings is truly hot, despite being très lean. Yet I never knew of her prior to coming across this series.

I suppose the episode ended around 9:25 p.m., and still my brother was away. And I had added a shot of Jim Beam Black Extra-Aged Bourbon (43% alcohol) to my evening's indulgence.

I hope to do some early grocery shopping tomorrow, so maybe a 6 a.m. setting of my cellphone alarm will do, for the store about a half mile distant doesn't open until 8 a.m. The weather may be gloomy, which is in my favour ─ there was considerable light rain at times today from what I could notice, so it would benefit my plans if this carried over to tomorrow morn.

I could watch more ─ it's early enough. But I am inclined to get my teeth-brushing out of the way, and then leisurely finish up whatever I have going on here on my computer.

Right now it is 10:02 p.m., so I am cutting out for today.
