Ever the accursed fool, I never got to bed last night until after 12:30 a.m.; but at least I kept my cellphone alarm for the targeted rising of 6 a.m., and did not feel any worse for getting to bed later than planned.
I never heard my wife come home last night, although she did.
I wanted to get out to do some early grocery shopping after No Frills opened at 8 a.m., but I got away a little more after that hour than I liked in view of how lame my right leg is and how much I detest being public ─ especially on clear-sky mornings like this one was.
My two tote bags had been rolled up together and tied tight with a shoelace, and I wanted to make a point of not forgetting the darned thing when I was packing up my purchases.
Well, I got home and realized that the shoelace was not with me. It was one of a high-quality pair, and now the other one is useless except for also using as a tie ─ damn me!
When I did get home from that shopping, I was a bit surprised that my younger brother had not yet come downstairs to watch morning news on T.V. When after 9 a.m. he still had not done so, upon hearing him stirring about around 9:10 a.m., I hustled downstairs to have control of the T.V. in order to begin straight off operating our Android TV Box.
Upon joining me, he announced that at 10 a.m. he planned to watch an NFL game. Consequently we were to only watch one video. It was a 12-minute (12:37) video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's AnitaK channel: And the People Said FU*K the CFIA! Vancouver Protesters Speak Out on Canada’s Shame.
Our dear Anita can be quite the 'rabble rouser' ─ this was a fabulous watch!
I watched T.V. with my brother until 10 a.m., and then heated up a breakfast that I ate here at my bedside computer. My wife had still not risen by 11:30 a.m., so I returned to bed for a needed nap.
It was a little after 2 p.m. when I next rose, and she was still shut up in her bedroom.
I heard my brother stirring about in his bedroom, but I don't know if he had taken a short rest or if he was just getting ready to face the day following having watched his game.
He emerged from his bedroom and passed by my open bedroom door as he went downstairs where Bev was watching T.V.
Then he apparently left. I thought maybe he had gone to catch a bus to take him off to begin his social drinking, but it developed that the sneaky prick had made a 'beer run' and also bought Bev a new four-litre box of the white wine she drinks.
I wanted to go with him when next he made that trip, but I had seen that he had around 13 cans remaining in the 24-pack he had open, so I didn't anticipate he would be making any such trip until probably tomorrow.
I only have five cans of beer on hand ─ I cannot wait three or so days until his next drive for beer, so I am going to have to visit the local private liquor store a half mile from here. Maybe I will put that off until Tuesday.
As for my wife, she finally emerged from her bedroom shortly before 3 p.m. to shower and start readying ─ evidently she had to work the latter part of today at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.
It sounded to me like she might have been throwing up before she showered, but I am not positive about that. Still, when she finally got all ready to go, she said nothing to me as she passed by my open bedroom door; and I never heard her speak to Bev downstairs. It was 3:16 p.m. when my wife headed out the front door on her fairly long drive. Her youngest son was not yet up from bed ─ she would have said something to him if he had been up.
Did she overdo the partying last night? Maybe.
Anyway, I soon had a light exercise session in her vacant bedroom; and at the start of the evening, a light supper.
Now it is time to take a blogging break so I can have a couple of beers while enjoying a couple of shows here on my bedside computer. I shall return in a while to complete this post.
◯◯◯◯◯
My first selection was The Guardian ─ episode three ("The Dead") of season two. I truly enjoyed seeing this role of Farrah Fawcett ─ a very attractive 'plain Jane' working as a waitress while supporting a young 'tweenage' daughter. It's also interesting seeing AJ Michalka as that daughter. And actress Katherine LaNasa as the current love interest of "Nick Fallin" is sheer icing.
My source was this GOOJARA.to link.
The show ended at 7:30 p.m., and I had about finished a can of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol). As yet my brother was not back from his social drinking.
Next I tuned in Midnight, Texas ─ episode four ("I Put a Spell on You") of season two. The episode was vaguely familiar. My brother and I used to follow the series several years ago, but I never recorded where we left off. Fortunately the women make re-watching a treat. I'd completely forgotten about actress Jaime Ray Newman, and how phenomenally hot this woman is!
My source was another GOOJARA.to link, and the episode ended a few minutes ahead of 9 p.m. No brother home yet, unless he is passed out downstairs.
I want to rise at 3 a.m. for some exercise at the nearby elementary school playground, but I wanted a little more drink because it was just a tad too early for bed.
And hence I tuned in Kevin from Work ─ episode six ("Birthday from Work") of the only season ─ while putting away maybe a shot of Jim Beam Black Extra-Aged bourbon (43% alcohol).
My source this time was this OneGo.tv link.
Heck, and my wife showed up just ahead of 10 p.m.
I've got to call it quite for my sake and that 3 a.m. cellphone alarm. Right now it is 10:07 p.m., and I still have a few things to take care of ere bed.
