I know I got to bed before midnight last evening, but was it before 11:30 p.m.? Memory fails.
Whatever the case, after being awake some time following sleep, I checked and saw it to be well past 5 a.m. this morning, and though I mulled just rising then, I opted to await my 6 a.m. alarm.
Sleep never did return, so I may have risen late into the hour and just cancelled the alarm. Again, memory fails.
Around or just after 7:30 a.m. I went forth to the backyard tool shed for the usual pathetic single repetition in each of six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups, followed by the squat work to strengthen my crippled right knee and quadriceps muscles.
And even though it was well before 8 a.m. when I returned to the house, my younger brother was to make his appearance while I was getting set to heat up half of a container of soup my wife had brought home last evening ─ the stuff was like a dark jelly, but meaty with small chicken drumsticks and what she later said were 'pork balls'.
I ate that upstairs here at my bedside computer; and then after 9 a.m. went back downstairs to join my brother for our morning T.V.
At his invitation to begin operation of our Android TV Box, I led off with a 10-minute (10:07) video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's AnitaK channel: “She Criticized Mark Carney… Then Police Showed Up”.
The next video topped two hours (2:03:37) and had been streamed yesterday to Rumble's The Shadoe Davis Show channel: March 17th/2026- Answering Allegations Made About Universal Ostrich Farm w/Jeff Gaudry.
Tonight: Some horrible allegations have been made recently about the owners of Universal Ostrich Farm and their supporters by a "former supporter"...we'll answer these allegations tonight with one of the main organizers at the farm Jeff Gaudry, also home invasion in Vaughan Ontario leaves one man in hospital, Toronto police visit woman over a social media post apparently threatening Mark Carney, Bill C-22, NATO allies refuse the help the US in the Strait of Hormuz....more
The last hour of that video got to be intense ─ it affected me enough to make my eyes burn a fair lot. The description above is inaccurate, I have to warn. Nothing mentioned after the name "Jeff Gaudry" in the third line of that description was even mentioned in the video, let alone discussed. The video was 100% Universal Ostrich Farms oriented.
The last show we watched was The Night Agent ─ the premiere episode ("The Call") of the first season. Pretty darned good!
My brother sought further bed rest thereafter, and I suppose that it was well into the noon hour when I chased down a nap, managing to remain in bed until 2:30 p.m.
I had entirely forgotten that my wife never went to work this morning. When I emerged from my bedroom following my nap, I just assumed that for some mysterious reason she had come back home after working the first part of the day.
I even asked her if she wasn't feeling well.
She didn't realize the motivation for the enquiry ─ she just assumed I was wondering why she had risen so late into the day, so she said that she had stayed up last night till maybe 4 a.m. watching a movie or some such in her bedroom on her smartphone or tablet.
She did have to work the latter part of today, though; so fairly soon after mid-afternoon she was away on her fairly long drive ─ in light rain ─ to the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time. She announced to me as she was departing the upstairs that she was taking the four-litre Sommet Rouge wine box that was in her bedroom which we had been 'working on'.
This of course means that she won't be home tonight; but it also means that I shall have to start depleting a bottle of wine, for I do not wish to broach my backup box of wine. When next she is home ─ likely Friday evening ─ she will probably want to start on it.
But finances are a great strain and worry for me ─ I went to bed for my nap feeling distraught over this state. I had been stalling making a VISA card payment online that was due by the 23rd, and I finally made it before my nap for $400 instead of the usual $500. The $400 may not even reduce the balance, which is why I always seek to pay $500.
I will not be getting my monthly pension until sometime near the end of the month. I hope it is directly deposited before the weekend of the 28th/29th, but it is possible that it might not show up until after that weekend. Once the fortnightly mortgage payment is debited tomorrow, I will only have maybe $150 in my account, and just $5 in my wallet, until my pension comes.
This was a bath day, so the hour it consumed meant I had no time for a light exercise session in my wife's vacant bedroom this latter afternoon. Stripped naked for the bath, I may have weighed as much as 185 pounds ─ it sure ain't an accumulation of extra muscle, let me say.
Right now it is 7:03 p.m. and I want to do some drinking, so I am going to break from this post to watch some T.V. shows here on my bedside computer and escape my bleak reality. I will finish the post and publish it late this evening.
🟥🟥🟥
I guess my first show and can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol) were finished by 8 p.m. My brother had gotten home by maybe 6:40 p.m. from his daily social drinking, incidentally.
I had watched The Rookie ─ episode two ("Fast Andy") of season eight. My source was this TVSeries.video link.
I enjoyed the episode!
My second show and beer were done by 9:01 p.m. The show was Doom Patrol ─ episode seven ("Dumb Patrol") of season two. My source was another TVSeries.video link.
The episode was more nonsense, but at least this one kept my interest more strongly than has recently been the case ─ possibly this was due to the variety of storylines.
My third show was done by 10:10 p.m. But not with an accompaniment of wine. I thought that I had two imported bottles here in my bedroom, but I only had one. It turned out to be a Chilean 2023 vintage stopped with a cork.
I had no access here to a corkscrew; and there was no sense in going downstairs and exposing myself to involvement with my brother and Bev.
So I resorted to the bottle of Johnny Walker Red Label Blended Scotch Whisky that I had broached yesterday. I poured a brimming shot, and tuned in awesome Friday Night Lights ─ episode 13 ("Little Girl I Wanna Marry You") of season one. My source was now yet a third TVSeries.video link this evening.
I love this series! I was soon weeping and praying to God on personal business that I have no intention of revealing here. By the time the episode was not quite half done, my shot of Scotch was done, so I poured another and watched the remainder of the episode, still often begging and weeping to God.
I am 76 years old, and this has always been a futile wrenching of my being. But I have made promises few likely would, and I am sincere about them.
Unable to call it quits as yet, I poured over another half a shot of whisky and tuned in Entourage ─ episode seven ("The Scene") of season two. My source this evening was a fourth TVSeries.video link.
It's difficult to bear watching hedonistic, materialistic lifestyles as espoused by the degenerate characters in this series, but I am oddly enough getting to find the series bearably watchable.
Damn! Right now it is 11:18 p.m., so I am going to brush my teeth, start shutting down a lot going on here on my computer, and hopefully being to bed ahead of midnight.
Everyone is lucky not to be me. I wish I was not me, either.
