Despite getting to bed ahead of 11 p.m. last evening and not even rising once to use the toilet, I was not exactly eager to rise when my 6 a.m. cellphone alarm chimed to get me up. The plan was to hobble the half mile to No Frills soon after its 8 a.m. opening and get some grocery shopping done.
It was a bummer that the day was to be sunny, but at least it was by no means warm out.
I may have succeeded in being on my way by 7:50 a.m., for I would be needing to withdraw $200 from the Vancity ATM nearby No Frills ─ all I had in my wallet was a $5 bill.
But I got everything done, and was back home to find that no one else was yet up for the morning.
My younger brother was to emerge from his bedroom around 8:30 a.m. or soon thereafter, but I waited until 9 a.m. before going downstairs to join him for some morning T.V.
He was fairly quick in turning it over to me so that I could start operation of our old T95Q Android 9 TV Box. My first video choice was 13 minutes (13:35) and had been uploaded earlier today to YouTube's AnitaK channel: Trump Saves Iran But Everyone Still Hates Him.
We only had time for one further video thereafter due to its length ─ nearly 2½ hours (2:26:17). It was published February 27 to Rumble's The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast channel: Joe Rogan Experience #2461 - Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, founder of the Waterkeeper Alliance and Children’s Health Defense, and an attorney and author.
As my brother was about to return to his bedroom for further bed rest, I alerted him that I would seek to accompany him if he was going to be making a beer run ─ I had seen that he only had two cans remaining in his supply.
With that in store, I dared not seek to nap ─ merely to lie abed fully clothed and rest deeply in darkness, my bedroom door ajar maybe 10 inches at most.
We were to get the chore accomplished (my two dozen cans of beer and four-litre box of wine totalled $84.10 with taxes and deposits) and were back home and still my wife had not emerged from her bedroom, but she very soon did, for she had to work the latter part of the day at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time.
The poor gal reported a problem with two Interac e-Transfers that were not deposited to her account, nor did she get any alert that any such transfers were occurring ─ each was from a different person. All she can suspect is that because she changed the default destination financial institution, something has gone amiss with that arrangement.
I sure hope she gets a resolution, because I am in no financial position to be helping her out.
She was not to leave for work until after 3:30 p.m., and I was reluctant to be having as late a start as I did on the light exercise session in her vacant bedroom; but since I had skipped exercising this morning in favour of the shopping, I was steadfast about exercising. Besides, tomorrow is a bath day, so I am likely to not exercise tomorrow afternoon.
At present it is 6:14 p.m. and time for my usual break so I can start watching my usual three shows while having a little drink. I shall be back anon.

Well, my first show was done by 7:26 p.m., as was my first of two cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol). I had watched Superman & Lois ─ the episode 15 ("Waiting for Superman") and season two finale. My final source was this MovieGo.st link.
The episode was dramatic and exciting, and at times inspiring; and there were occasions when my eyes teared from emotion.
However, there was no justification for saving the lives of the two evil "Allys". We all know what lies ahead anytime supervillains are supposedly locked away for good.
My second show ended at 9:03 p.m. This was actually remarkably early. You see, to my consternation, my second show was The Expanse. That was not what was so consterning, though ─ it was the episode length. I had tuned in what was supposedly the first season's episode nine ("Critical Mass"), and my source at this 1Movies.bz link ─ for whatever bizarre reason ─ turned out to be episodes nine and 10 ("Leviathan Wakes") combined. In other words, the episode just managed to exceed 1⅓ hours (1:20:27).
I was not sure what to do. Halt half way through and maybe watch something else? I didn't feel like spending all of my remaining evening on just one show.
But it proved to be extremely engrossing. And somehow I made just my second can of beer extend long enough that I finished up while spending just over a quarter of an hour seated here brushing my teeth.
I sure hope this sort of thing does not become anything like common! At least the series finally got truly interesting.
My final show ─ and at least 10 ounces of Sommet Rough wine (12% alcohol) ─ finished by 10:19 p.m. The show was Stargirl ─ episode eight ("Shiv Part Two") of the first season. My source was a second MovieGo.st link this evening.
Old and infirm man that I may be increasingly becoming, the episode was deeply involving. 'Tis all I will say.
I was to discover that my wife had come home during the show. My brother had done so much earlier from his daily social drinking somewhere ─ he had bused home during The Expanse.
She was to eventually wonder to me if I had seen any sign of her Interac e-Transfers (I monitor her email account), but there was nothing to report.
Poor girl.
Okay, it's 11:06 p.m., so I am calling it a day.
