πŸ’€☠πŸ’€☠πŸ’€☠ Back to Some Sunning at Long Last

Yesterday morning when I joined my younger brother at 10:00 a.m. to put our T9 Android 8.1 TV Box to use, I had in mind a movie for us. However, I could not find any working links through the various 'apps' that I tried that I have downloaded into our device.

So I tried a movie I was curious about for which I had seen icons or mini-posters as options whenever I would search for links to the T.V. series Banshee that my brother and I are involved in watching ─ we are into the first season, and of late usually watch an episode an evening.

That single episode an evening is by my choice ─ I don't like whipping through a series as in binge-watching.

The movie that I substituted with was 2013's Banshee Chapter.

It wasn't too bad, but we don't like hopeless endings. We prefer to have the lead character triumph over evil ─ not apparently be despatched horrifically in utter helplessness as seemed to be the heroine's fate at the conclusion of this film.

I have only now learned that the heroine was played by actress Katia Winter. The name is unfamiliar to me, but my brother and I watched every episode of Sleepy Hollow and (so far) DC's Legends of Tomorrow, so she ought to have been familiar to us. However, she was not; nor can I say that I can now recall her face in either of those two T.V. series, despite knowing that she figured rather largely in them.

I also watched a number of episodes of Dexter back when it was first broadcast, but that was so long ago that I am unsurprised that I cannot remember her from that series.

It was good to see Ted Levine have a fairly meaty role in the movie. He's another actor whose name was unfamiliar to me, but who was immediately recognizable. Wikipedia describes his character in this movie as being "Hunter Thompson-esque", and that was someone whom I quickly associated the character with soon after he was introduced.

I thought Ted did a very good job, by the way.

I still intend to try and watch the movie that was my first choice, but I will have to do so using a website. I've located a source for it, so tomorrow morning I'll use the Firefox 'app' downloaded into our Android TV Box to see if the movie will play without issue. If it does, I will report on it.

My wife arrived home last afternoon before I had a chance for a needed nap. Consequently, I resorted to lying upon my brother's bed after he left for the afternoon to go drinking somewhere. He had left his van here at home and bused.

She was to remain and spend the night.

When my brother was not back yet last evening and it was well after 9:00 p.m., I wanted to get to bed and avoid him rather than have to sit up with him in his questionable state while I operated our Android TV Box.

However, my wife was fussing in our bedroom and had her clothes all strewn about as she did some rearranging. At one point when she exited the room I thought to hastily get myself into bed before she returned and resumed her occupation, but she noticed me and called me out.

It was by then nigh 9:20 p.m., but she assessed that it was much too early for me to be going to bed. And so I had to admit that I was wanting to avoid my brother's company, fully expecting that he would be too drunk to be worth trying to watch any T.V. with.

I offered to use the floor here in the room where I keep my computer ─ a small room immediately next to our bedroom; but she must have felt an attack of conscience over denying me use of our bed.

As she pulled things off of our bed for my sake, I ventured that I would most likely get up again once my brother had gone to his bedroom for the night.

I was not far wrong, for I rose during the latter half of the midnight hour, and he had already retired for the night. Whatever sleep I had managed in those three or so hours was minimal, but I find that the mere act of laying in bed for such extended periods does bestow some modicum of revitalization.

I am able to put work into whatever post I have on the go at one of my six hosted websites, and I can generally remain up for four hours or even more with relative ease, but I prefer to try and get back to bed to try for further sleep.

My wife probably didn't get herself to bed until around 2:00 a.m.

I remained up until well past 4:00 a.m. ─ maybe even nearer 5:00 a.m.

Even so, my morning was to commence shortly after 8:30 a.m. I came here to my computer to kill time, and then at 10:00 a.m.'s approach I went downstairs to prepare my day's first hot caffeinated beverage and then joined my brother for some T.V. via our Android TV Box (he doesn't understand its operation, so that role belongs to me).

The morning was overcast enough, but the afternoon was to become cloud-free.

My poor wife was likely into some wine last night. She never rose until 2:00 p.m., and then had to hustle to ready herself for her long drive to work at her friend's Thai restaurant. She left here well before 3:00 p.m.

My brother had sought some bed rest toward 1:30 p.m., after which I speedily changed into cutoffs and went out into the backyard to benefit from that sunshine.

Beginning at 1:33 p.m., I was to spend just over 40 minutes slouched low into a deck- or lawn-chair with my bared feet on the ground, all the while facing directly into the glorious Sun.

My brother was to disturb my final five minutes by coming outside to do some weed-whacking, his bed rest evidently finished with.

After my wife left for work, and my brother had progressed to the front yard, I took this candid photo of him out there at 2:55 p.m.:

The young woman standing out in our cul-de-sac isn't really standing there overcome with fascination for my brother and his activity. Rather, she is a very attractive young mother whose daughter was practicing her cycling by doing rounds of the cul-de-sac. The girl just happened to be hidden by that bush at the mouth of our driveway, and the young mother was facing toward the girl ─ not my brother.

Soon after this, I went to my bedroom and sought a needed nap. When I rose from it, my brother had gone for the afternoon ─ with his van. He ought not to be as late this evening, so I will probably be watching some T.V. with him.

It is already after 6:00 p.m., and I have some exercising to do, so I am going to stop blogging and get this post published.
