Well, this post will be short. It is presently 3:11 p.m., and my wife has texted me that she will be home soon. She wants us to head out at 4:30 p.m. to the Thai restaurant that she works at ─ this will be to celebrate her eldest sons impending 27th birthday.
I won't be blogging after that, so this is all the sparse time I have.
I made the gruelling 5.625-mile round trip hike early this morning to shop at the nearest Real Canadian Superstore, finding myself on my way at 6:09 a.m. to try and arrive as soon around its 7 a.m. opening as possible.
It was wet out from recent rain, and over the course of my outing it did lightly rain on occasion. But what was really remarkable was how dark it still was when I left home. Naturally much of that was due to cloud cover, but the Sun was nowhere near rising. Officially, it now does not rise until a little after 6:30 a.m.
The hike back home with two tote bags of purchases was ─ as usual ─ challenging for this 71-year-old.
Incidentally, my younger brother spent the night at the home of his girlfriend Bev.
Last weekend ─ Saturday ─ my brother and I attended the distant memorial for our late maternal Aunt Nell's husband Earl who died earlier in August. We got to the Chilliwack cemetery barely in time.
But upon arriving, our cousin Randy approached us and gave us the surprising news that his old friend "Duck" (Don) had died in the wee a.m. overnight.
My brother and I had known "Duck" for as long as we had known Earl ─ since around 1974.
Last night I saw in Facebook that a memorial is now set in Duck's honour for September 18 (a Saturday), and only a couple or so blocks from where I live.
I will respond to the Facebook invitation positively, of course. However, it is going to be contingent upon the church not enforcing the ludicrous 'vaccine passport' restrictions that are supposed to commence here in the province as of September 13.
If I learn that the church will be barring the 'un-vaccinated', then my brother and I will not be attending. I will not get 'vaccinated' for any living human being, so I certainly have no intention of submitting for one who has departed.
Hell, I intend to fight to the death anybody who may seek to forcibly 'vaccinate' me!
Entirely related to that was the interview that my brother and I watched this latter morning ─ much too short. It was hosted by Odessa Orlewicz, and recorded two days ago: Sept 3 I Interview Maxime Bernier- Leader of The People's Party of Canada.
This is the political party that my brother and I will be voting for ─ the election is on September 20th, but advance voting can be done on the 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th. I will be voting on Saturday the 11th.
The three big political parties ─ Liberals, Conservatives, and NDP ─ have all embraced the way of Satan, it seems.
The video was far too short ─ 23 minutes; and Maxime Bernier was travelling in a vehicle, and very hard to hear. But he said enough to keep me invested in his party.
I followed that video with one I had previously recorded that was an hour and 50 minutes in duration: The Crime of the Century (part 1). I also have part 2 recorded, but that will have to wait a few days ─ or a week or more.
We were of course watching these videos on T.V. via our Android TV Box.
And that is all the time that I dare spend on this post.
