Identifying Michalmas Asters (Or Daisies) In the Garden

With my younger brother home last evening no later than 8:10 p.m. from wherever he had been drinking, I was to bed by about 8:15 p.m. to try and nap away the evening and thereby fortify me for my usual hours overnight working here at my computer.

I got some sleep, but found myself awake around 10:15 p.m. It was too early to rise, for a check revealed that my brother was still downstairs watching T.V. And so I returned to bed, rolled onto my stomach, and made a pitched attempt at finding a little further sleep.

To my considerable surprise, the next time I checked the time it was something like 11:47 p.m. My brother had apparently long retired to his bedroom for the night, and my wife was home by then from her day working at the Thai restaurant where she is employed on a part-time basis. (Actually, as I now recall, she was home when I was awake a little earlier.)

I was to sit up until nearly 5:40 a.m., and in that while I had six more-or-less hourly three-drop hits of Miracle Mineral solution (MMS). I could have had a seventh, but I no longer had any appetite for the stuff ─ the notion of quaffing more was utterly repellent.

I can understand why some people drink it with something like cranberry juice instead of just distilled water. Perhaps after I finish my final of three weeks taking these three-drop hits and I embark on a daily dose of a six-drop hit, I may use unsweetened cranberry juice or something similar and be done with the distasteful drink that mixing MMS with plain distilled water results in.

To be honest, the thought of a seventh dose this early a.m. was close to bringing on my gag reflex. I could use more water than I do; but as it is, I am already urinating far more than I care to, and I do not want that urge affecting me while I am lying in bed and trying to sleep.

For me, sleep is hard won ─ I do not need this situation exacerbated by that annoying, burning need to urinate.

My morning officially began ahead of 9 a.m., I believe. I remained upstairs here at my computer until a little after 10 a.m., and then went downstairs to boil water for a black instant coffee. My brother was reading the Saturday morning edition of the Vancouver Sun that I subscribe to.

I had in mind for us a Dr. Mercola video that I had recorded some weeks back that had actually been recorded by Dr. Mercola back in March: The Empires of Gates- Interview with Vandana Shiva, Ph.D.,.

My brother initially grumbled, but after the nearly hour-long video had ended, he offered that he quite likes Dr. Vandana Shiva. Thanks to me, he has seen a little of her previously, so she is not unfamiliar to him.

I followed up that video with one from Rebel News: Are vaccine mandates legal? Calgary lawyer Derek From shares his insight. Nearly 20 minutes long, I only tuned it in because I was unable to find one that was to have been uploaded two days ago. I now realize that I simply did not scroll far enough down the webpage of their video listings to find the darned thing.

We finished up our viewing with an episode of Arrow ─ specifically, season seven's episode 17 ("Inheritance").

My brother then had some bed rest before he left for the afternoon, to ultimately begin his daily drinking somewhere.

My wife never had to work today; and around 5 p.m., she left ─ probably not to return until sometime during the latter half of Monday.

Had she not been here overnight, I might actually have gone to do some early morning shopping locally.

Also, with her present, I did not bother myself to do any possible afternoon sunning ─ which is to say, I otherwise might well have sat out in the backyard for an hour or so to give my face and shaven head some Sun exposure.

I actually had a lazy day due to her presence. That is, I did not feel up to pushing myself to adhere to the day's scheduled exercise schedule.

However, tomorrow morning I will be grocery shopping, leaving home before dawn in order to arrive at the store something over 2¾ miles from here as soon after its 7 a.m. opening as I can time things. I do not drive, so walking is my sole option.

I wish now to post two photos of a group of plants whose identity I have not known since their first appearance in a plot of garden at least three years ago ─ I took the photos at 2:59 p.m.this afternoon using my iPhone 5:

Even though it was sunny, the overall colour to these images is just not right ─ I probably should have used my old Canon PowerShot SD880 IS.

Anyway, according to the excellent website Pl@ntNet, they are a type of Michaelmas aster (or daisy, if you prefer).

So now I finally know! That website has helped me at least a couple of times before.

I want to watch a Christmas movie as yet undetermined, so I am going to close this post here. I will be having a couple of cans of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol), and just possibly a little wine ─ but I do not wish to jeopardize my proper sleep and ruin my plans of going shopping early tomorrow, so I must be cautious.
