Notwithstanding my failure to retire last night until a little past 12:20 a.m., I set my cellphone alarm for 5 a.m. this morning and got myself up as it was sounding.
Originally I had intended to rise at 4 a.m., but at the last moment ere retiring I realized that doing so would be far too unkind.
It seems that my eldest stepson (27 years old?) had to work today, for he was up soon after I was; and by maybe 5:30 a.m., he left on his long drive to work. He is working a 12-hour day.
I wanted to be on my 5.625-mile round trip hike to the nearest Real Canadian Superstore outlet (Google Map) before it was yet 6 a.m., but that target is proving nearly impossible for me to hit. Regardless, I do believe that I was on my way within five minutes of the passage of that point in time.
The Real Canadian Superstore opens at 7 a.m. Consequently, because I abhor crowds, and I hate being public during the busy day, I always seek to walk this errand as early as is possible.
It was still broad dark when I left, and all was dry. But as I advanced, the eastern sky grew brighter and seemed primarily clear of cloud. I thought that it betokened a sunny morning.
I no longer overload myself when I make this shopping excursion, for the return walk is punishing enough without the additional challenge of some great burden.
When I exited the store ─ and I believe that I did arrive there well within 10 minutes after it opened its doors ─ the sky was starting to cloud up and I was feeling the vague flecks of some rain. The rain did later fall, but I was largely spared, just incurring some negligible dampness.
Once back home I did not force myself to sit up for too much longer, and was back into bed ahead of 9 a.m. where I was to remain until nearly 10 a.m.
After I had gone downstairs to fix a mug of hot instant coffee loaded with 'the works', my younger brother and I were to watch some plandemic / scamdemic / casedemic videos, leading off with a very depressing one insofar as the situation seems to be in Ireland.
This interview of Gemma O'Doherty was uploaded to BitChute on March 18, and is 54 minutes in duration: Ireland Engulfed By Liberalism, Immigration And Globalist Tyranny.
Canada's Crime Minister Trudope is trying to achieve the same thing, seeking to erase this nation of its Judeo-Christian foundation and attempting to institute rampant multiculturalism in place of what has always been biculturalism ─ i.e., English and French.
He needs to get the hell out of here ─ he definitely needs to be dethroned and even jailed.
The Canadian situation was touched upon in this March 17th 44-minute Rumble video uploaded by the Canadian Citizens for Charter Rights and Freedoms: C3RF “In Hot” interview with Greg Hill and Matt Sattler.
Major Russ Cooper (Ret’d) discusses vaccine mandates with Greg Hill and Matt Sattler from “Free to Fly”. The new normal that sees pilot careers hinging on one’s vaccination status has only been made possible through shortcutting the rule making and safety cultures that have made Canadian civil aviation the safest in the world. Are we taking risks that we’ll regret? How can such recklessness be justified?
My brother mentioned that his Langley friend Greg had yesterday said that he might check out the rally being held at that city's Douglas Park (Google Map) from noon to 3 p.m. today that was to be featuring Chris Sky, but today's weather turned unpleasantly chilly due to some wind, and at times became quite wet. The afternoon in fact grew progressively worse.
Greg had said that the park was maybe a 15-minute walk from his apartment, so at least it won't exactly be putting him out by very much to give the rally a try.
My brother and I both hope that Greg did attend, for he would definitely enjoy Chris's rousing speaking style (Greg was unfamiliar with Chris Sky); and perhaps Greg could bond with like-minded people in this resistance to governmental tyranny.
As for my brother and I, early in the afternoon we each sought some further bed rest; and when I rose from mine, my brother was gone for the afternoon, seeking his daily 'socializing'.
My evening is early upon me as I type these words. I wish now to NETFILE the tax returns for my wife and I that I completed on Wednesday past using the free GenuTax Multiyear Tax Software, so I am going to cease blogging for today and get that filing over with.
