Touching on a Pair of Controversies

Vaccinated people feel antipathy towards those that refuse to get Covid-19 jab, survey shows | Daily Mail Online

Whereas the opposite tends to be true where the 'unvaxxed' are concerned ─ they are more tolerant and even welcoming to their benighted cult brethren.

The study (in .pdf format): Prejudice Against the Vaccinated and the Unvaccinated During the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Global Conjoint Experiment

And no, I didn't take the time to read it. I have witnessed for myself how intolerant and rage-filled the 'vaccinated' are against those who dare to value their personal integrity more than the virtue-signalling of the mask fanatics / 'vaccine' brainwashed who profane and attack because there is no reason behind their stance, and it rankles them no end that they cannot present an actual sound argument for their legless irrational position.

And in another vaguely related arena, the following are from a Telegram post by a Gonzalo Lira:

Are those claims true? Beats me! However not for nothing does even that propaganda tool Wikipedia have an article titled Corruption in Ukraine

Corruption is widespread in Ukrainian society. In 2012 Ernst & Young put Ukraine among the three most-corrupt nations of the world—alongside Colombia and Brazil. In 2015 The Guardian called Ukraine "the most corrupt nation in Europe". According to a poll conducted by Ernst & Young in 2017, experts considered Ukraine to be the ninth-most corrupt nation in the world. According to Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index (a scale of least to most corrupt nations), Ukraine ranked 122nd out of 180 countries in 2021, the second most corrupt in Europe, ahead of Russia.

United States diplomats described Ukraine under Presidents Kuchma (in office from 1994 to 2005) and Yushchenko (in office from 2005 to 2010) as a kleptocracy, according to WikiLeaks cables.

The unfortunate peoples of that nation needed to have utterly routed their government, but that never happened. It has no right to be in existence, and does not deserve supporting.

But on to my day.

It was overcast, so temperatures remained above freezing last night.

My younger brother persists in arriving home from his daily 'socializing' before it is yet 9:30 p.m. ─ my latest deadline for him ─ so I am still sitting up and consequently have to remain up with him in the operation of our Android TV Box until at least midnight.

Nevertheless, tomorrow in the very early a.m. I intend to get out for a nighttime walk of potentially a couple of miles ─ I would say certainly that I will manage nothing less than 1½ miles, and also benefit from some pull-ups at an elementary school playground.

My wife will be coming home this evening after probably having worked the day at the Thai restaurant where she has part-time employment; but ever since my bout of extreme illness last October, we have been sleeping in separate bedrooms, so she will not be a factor if I am able to respond to (for example) a 3:30 a.m. alarm to rouse me and have me ready to get on my way for that walk.

I think that she may well have to work a full day tomorrow as well, but her start time is not until 11 a.m.

She disturbed today's early afternoon nap by phoning me to obtain some information ─ she actually pulled me from sleep. I could tell afterwards that I would be rather useless if I did not resume the nap, so I returned to bed. However, this of course ate up more of my afternoon than would otherwise have been so.

I wish now to catch some T.V., for it is into the evening as I type these words. I am also approaching the time when I generally try to have some supper. Consequently, I am here going to take leave of today's post, signing off with a couple of Facebook posts my wife made today in an effort to flog some of the health-related products of The iCon Group that she sells:
