I suppose that I could have gotten in a walk early this a.m., for I found myself awake no later than 3:30 a.m. However, I had not gotten to bed until late into the midnight hour, so I opted to seek further sleep.
My younger brother and I watched some interesting T.V. last evening via our Android TV Box, but I will only mention two shows.
The first was a Christmas special of the BBC T.V. series Doctor Who. Neither of us were ever fans of the series, and the only reason that we presently watch it has been as a result of learning about Jodie Whittaker taking over the role back in 2018 as the Thirteenth Doctor.
We did not realize until this past week that there are Doctor Who specials that do not always tend to be included or listed among the episodes of regular seasons. I thereafter found (see List of Doctor Who Christmas and New Year's specials) that the 2017 Christmas special ("Twice Upon a Time") that actually introduced her briefly near the episode's end and prior to her 2018 season premiere could be accessed with the Stremio app that I have downloaded into our Android TV Box; so last evening I gave it a shot, and we were able to watch the full episode.
Following that episode, I decided to risk playing a movie ─ this is sometimes met with great resistance by my brother who can become dreadfully petulant. He immediately decides that the movie is going to be an infliction upon him personally, and this then sets the pace and he is often unable to give the movie much of a chance.
Fortunately, my gamble last evening proved worthwhile ─ the movie was 2009's I Love You, Beth Cooper.
I recognized the lead actor (geeky Paul Rust) from the T.V. series Love that I actually watched in its entirety maybe a couple or so years ago, but I did not know his name. Whereas the beautiful lead female actress was absolutely familiar to me, but I could not place her. It was not until the closing credits when her identity was revealed as Hayden Panettiere that I clued in to why she was so familiar ─ she had played the cheerleader who could die and come back to life in the T.V. series Heroes that I very much enjoyed.
Interestingly to me is that in this movie, her and Paul Rust's characters are supposedly just graduating from high school, yet Hayden is a bit more than eight years younger than Paul.
I had thought a couple of times as I watched the movie that he was looking a bit old for his role, so now I understand why.
My brother definitely enjoyed the movie. And so did I, of course. Hayden's hot, and can be quite the heart-stealer!
My brother and I actually watched one further Christmas special last evening that was not played as part of season two of BBC's T.V. series Ghosts, for we are already into season three and never saw it ("The Ghost of Christmas"). Following up as it did the earlier Doctor Who Christmas special, I found my emotions twice played upon last evening due to the heavy sentimentality that Christmas can mean for me.
My wife had worked that day at the Thai restaurant where she has part-time employment, and thus arrived back home during the latter evening. I think that we were having some rain by then; and although the rain had stopped at some point in the morning, it is raining again as I type these words at 6:27 p.m.
My wife was not to be home today for too very long ─ she may have left us as early as 1:15 p.m., saying to me, "See you on Monday." (She typically spends much of her weekends somewhere in Vancouver.)
This morning, my brother and I were to watch a pair of videos relating to the scamdemic / plandemic / casedemic, notably one (1¾ hours in duration) uploaded to Rumble two days ago and featuring Action4Canada's Tanya Gaw: Hon Brian Peckford is Suing The Government & Provides Answers to Your Questions.
Soon enough, I expect that we will learn exactly how deep the corruption is here in Canada ─ are our judges all compromised?
Published the same day on the same platform, we watched a 39-minute video hosted by Make Americans Free Again's Pam Popper: Interview With Tom Renz. This video was also encouraging from a legal perspective, even though we are not American.
I want to have a bath, so I must bring this post to a close. I won't be sitting up until midnight tonight because I have a fairly long hike in mind for the morning ─ it ought to be approximately a round trip of 5.625 miles. I have some light grocery shopping that I hope to do ─ just a very few items; and since I want to arrive at the store right around its 7 a.m. opening, I will need to leave home around 6 a.m.
This requires that I rise at 4 a.m. in order to slowly adjust to the impending venture. The present hope is that it will not be raining hard.
By the way, this afternoon I printed out five receipts that I want for tax purposes, so maybe tomorrow I will manage to get around to filing tax returns for my wife and I.
