With probably less than 10 minutes to go ere the onset of 9:30 p.m. yesterday evening, I espied my younger brother arriving home from his daily 'socializing'. And he proved to be in reasonable condition. As a result, I used our Android TV Box to play an episode each of two of the T.V. series we follow (specifically, Versailles and Vera), and enjoyed two cans of the strong (8% alcohol) malt that I seek to keep myself stocked with.
I have been missing out on this sort of evening T.V. time, for my brother has been failing to show up by the 9:30 p.m. deadline that I have (secretly) in place for him.
However, it was just about 1:15 a.m. before I was finally in bed. Between the very late hour and the unaccustomed two cans of malt that I had enjoyed, I was to find myself awake after two or three hours, and never did sleep well thereafter.
My wife had worked a full day that day at the Thai restaurant that employs her part-time, so she showed up here during the latter half of the evening. I think that she may have worked a full day every day of the five-day workweek last week, and now I am wondering if she is doing so again. She used to seem to have Wednesdays off, but today was the second consecutive Wednesday that she rose to ready herself for the long day (the restaurant opens at 11 a.m., and is quite a lengthy drive from here).
She and I do not have much communication now that we sleep in adjoining rooms ─ this took effect quite early last November after I was home following just over 11 days in hospital in October with diagnosed "COVID pneumonia". I am watching T.V. in the morning with my brother when she usually rises for the day; and I am again involved watching T.V. when she gets home in the evening. As often as not, by the time my brother and I are done and about to call it a night, she has either retired for the night, or is otherwise shut up in 'her' bedroom.
She owes my bank balance $2,400 ─ it's actually a little over $2,500 if I add in a transfer she asked me to make of $50 to her PayPal account this month, plus something like $58 that I paid by VISA credit card for a coming shipment via DHL express from Thailand of various iCon Group health related products that she tries to sell.
I am unsure how she can make full restitution, but the monthly mortgage is coming due by around the 22nd. As well, there are two large annual billings coming up ─ home insurance in early June, and property taxes in early July. I will need that $2,400 and more.
I mentioned Vera earlier. The episode my brother and I watched was the current season finale (and titled "The Way the Wind Blows" ). I was unsure until checking Wikipedia whether there was to be yet another season, and evidently there will be.
We love the series, and have watched every episode.
I mentioned at the conclusion of yesterday's post that it was my intention to phone Sandy, the longtime ladyfriend of my late old friend William A.G. (he died not a full month ago, I believe). I did make the call, but only got her answering service. She returned the call awhile later when I was watching T.V. and having some supper, but my free time for idle chatter on the telephone had been expended, so I let our answering machine handle the call.
She claimed that she was presently very busy, and that my best opportunity for calling her again might not be until next Wednesday. Frankly, this is bizarrely weird, for she does not work ─ she has not had a job for as long as I have known her. She has never married nor had children ─ nor has she a 'boyfriend' ─ so I cannot imagine what could possibly have her so involved.
Regardless, this suits me perfectly, for I do not enjoy telephone conversations, and now I have a week's leeway before feeling any sort of obligation to be trying to call her again.
Now, concerning the morning shows that my brother and I watched. I shall only cite two, the first of which was just over an hour long and was uploaded to BitChute on April 8: Dolores Cahill - How you can prepare yourself for what is to come.
Aga Wilson had a very good interview of the informed woman who was the subject of the video. However, since the latter is highly censored, it is probably best that I say nothing more than that I fully support her spiritually.
The other video was extremely short ─ not 10 minutes: Unit 731 Hell On Earth. You can find out far more at Wikipedia about the World War Two's Imperial Japanese Army's Unit 731, but now that I have this introduction to the unit, I am going to seek out a more detailed and proper documentary about it.
How can there be such monsters?
I want to have a bath, and it is already 7:30 p.m., so all else I will report is that when I weighed myself during the noon hour before having eaten a thing ─ and I was stripped down and entirely nude ─ I was at least 193 pounds.
This is ridiculous.
I rather hope that my brother does not arrive home by 9:30 p.m. this evening so that I can then get to bed and be able to get up at 3 a.m. tomorrow for a five-mile walk, as well as a few pull-ups at an elementary school playground during that time.
