As I anticipated and predicted in yesterday's post, my younger brother failed to return home (via bus) by the 9:30 p.m. deadline that I have in place for him. He had bused away in the early afternoon to drink in a relatively remote pub with one or more of his drinking buddies.
I actually sat up here at my computer next to my bed until I heard him enter the house. I then shut my bedroom door and was quickly enough (by maybe 10:22 p.m.) into my bed.
I had no early a.m. plans, but if I slept amazingly well I might have risen to do something by way of a walk. However, I slept poorly.
I suppose that my working wife must have arrived home soon enough after my brother ─ she had put in a long day at the Thai restaurant where she has part-time employment, although for two consecutive weeks now she seems to have worked every weekday. She did so again today (the restaurant opens at 11 a.m.).
My brother never went downstairs to start watching T.V. until 9 a.m. this morning, so I quickly enough followed suit.
Once I put our Android TV Box into action, the most notable video we were to watch was Odessa Orlewicz's from yesterday: April 14- Shanghai Lockdowns-Starving Shanghai Residents Jumping Out Of Highrises. Trudeau Is Silent.
I had already seen some video shorts about what's going on in Shanghai. One thing I cannot fathom is if anyone ─ well, any men ─ have lost so much hope that they found the unimaginable courage to end their lives by jumping from a high-rise apartment building, then why not instead embark on a suicide mission involving overwhelming an armed police or military thug of the dictator government and take out as many others of those same thugs as possible before being gunned down in a hail of bullets?
I would far rather die by gunfire in a shootout with those murderous defenders of evil than I would from falling from some great height to my futile and horrific death on the concrete below.
Are the Chinese citizens so conditioned to being complaint and obedient that the thought of fighting back is now alien?
Deep into her video, Odessa interviewed an amiable woman shown only as "Jodie" who had been wholly invested for two years in the entire COVID-19 fiction as promulgated by media and government and false health authorities. "Jodie" had gotten two shots and then a booster, each time suffering side-effects, yet being too blinded to break loose from the irrational fear of the virus to not comply with everything she was told.
It was not until after the booster and her health problems when she finally fully realized beyond any doubt what was causing them, yet her doctor refused to believe her and did his best to reconvert her back into the COVIDian cult.
"Jodie" was the best part of Odessa's 65-minute show, in my opinion.
Odessa's shows are just about always better when she has a guest to interview. I detest her dreary shows where all she does is read aloud ─ she can spend anywhere from a half hour to a full hour reading material that would take me 10 or 15 minutes to read myself, if I wanted to bother.
I zone right out during her readings ─ she has no talent as a narrator. And it is exceptionally annoying when she constantly interrupts herself to interject whatever comes to her mind, and then forgets where she left off.
But it's her show; and some of them can be truly exceptional.
Well, as often happens in the early afternoon, I sought a nap after my brother had shut himself up in his own bedroom for a rest before he headed away to resume his daily 'socializing'. He was gone when I was up again.
Will he be home by 9:30 p.m. this evening ─ and be sober enough to be tolerable company? I would like to have a couple of cans of beer and catch an episode each of two or three of the T.V. series we follow via our Android TV Box. We're falling far too behind due to his inability to arrive home by 9:30 p.m. of late, the deadline that I have in place for him which he knows nothing about.
The only thing else that I care to spend any time mentioning is the weather. We've had some very light rain on occasion in the early part of the day, but the afternoon has had some sunshine working through the thin cloud cover. However, it has been quite cool.
