Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and William Marshal ─ Two Viewing Treats

Since my younger brother was in a reasonable state upon arriving home last evening following his daily 'socializing' activity, I sat up into the midnight hour watching an episode each of three of the series we follow via our Android TV Box. Specially, the shows were The Flash (we're slowly working through the five-episode series crossover story-arc "Crisis on Infinite Earths"); Lewis; and Hardware.

I also enjoyed two cans of strong (8% alcohol) beer with my T.V. over the latter evening.

My wife had arrived home during that time, following her long full day working at the Thai restaurant that employs her part-time. She has also had to work today, with her usual 11 a.m. start, so it was an unusual Wednesday for me (I cannot remember when she had to last work a Wednesday) ─ I thought that I would be getting more accomplished than turned out to be the case.

This morning my brother and I were to watch the second part of an interview of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., hosted by Megyn Kelly ─ I mentioned something of the first part of the interview in my post of yesterday.

This second part was uploaded to Rumble on March 24, and was 1¾ hours in duration: The JFK Assassination, Growing up Kennedy, and His Marriage | Robert F. Kennedy Jr Interview, Part 2.

I love the melodious sound of Megan's voice. Even her sounds of acknowledgement or assent are amazingly soothing to me. I think that if I could just listen to a long recording of her making her specific vocalizations of sounds we typically refer to as "Uh-huh" ─ with suitable pauses between her utterances ─ I could far better relax into sleep at night.

We also watched a nearly hour-long documentary: The Greatest Knight: William Marshal.

A 2014 BBC History Documentary hosted by Thomas Asbridge.

The fascinating story of knighthood, told through the extraordinary life and times of William Marshal, whom many consider the world's greatest knight. From Europe's medieval castles to the holy city of Jerusalem, presenter Thomas Asbridge explores William's incredible life, revealing a rip-roaring adventure story in the spirit of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table. In a career that spanned half a century, this English soldier and statesman served some of Christendom's greatest leaders, from Eleanor of Aquitaine to Richard the Lionheart.

Marshal fought in battles across Europe, survived court intrigue and exile, put his seal to the Magna Carta and proved to be the best friend a king could have, remaining loyal to those he served through disaster and victory. Then at the age of 70, despite all the odds, he saved England from a French invasion.

My brother and I love this sort of history.

Honestly, I have no further time to blog today. It is already after 7:30 p.m., and I must have a bath. Had I not become involved in a lengthy reply to an E-mail, nor involved myself in one other pursuit, I definitely would have had far more time for this post.

I will say that the day has been fairly sunny, if quite cool.
