Christmas Land Encore

I managed to squeeze in a Christmas movie early last evening, although it was one that was vaguely familiar because I had likely seen it within maybe the past three or so years ─ it was 2015's Christmas Land

Lead actress Nikki DeLoach kept me watching because she quickly endeared me to her. Apart from being beautiful, I was attracted to her laugh and to related mannerisms that were peculiar to her and had nothing to do with acting.

She also has a wondrous smile.

She and her character in Christmas Land quite captured me, and my emotions were keenly felt ─ a couple of glasses of Merlot certainly were instrumental in that arena.

It was a good movie ─ just the sort of Christmas movie I most enjoy when I am watching by myself.

I suppose bedtime may have been just ahead of 10 p.m., and my cellphone alarm was set for 4 a.m. so that I would have plenty of time to normalize for my 5.625-mile round trip grocery shopping expedition to the nearest Real Canadian Superstore outlet.

When the alarm sounded, it roused me from a semi-slumber.

Oddly, my eldest stepson was still up and probably watching a movie in a laptop downstairs. He never seemed to call it a night until around 4:30 a.m.

Despite the amount of time I gave myself, it was still maybe three minutes past 6 a.m. by the time I was on my way ─ I try to leave before 6 a.m., but doing so is rare for me, no matter how much leeway I give myself.

It is now dark outside at 6 a.m., and I love that.

I was also pleased when I stopped at a nearby elementary school playground for two sets of pull-ups on the fixed gymnastics-style rings in the younger kids playground. I was able to manage six repetitions in the first set, and then three repetitions in the second set.

I did well on the walk to the store, and arrived there just about a full hour at most from the time I left home.

Despite not getting everything I had considered ─ such as some fruit, for the produce area was too heavily populated already ─ I was to find that my walk home was undesirably slow and effortful. I had an uncomfortable amount of weight to tote.

By the time I arrived back home and was into the kitchen, my younger brother appeared from his bedroom, already freshly showered. We had a bit of banter while I put away a few items, and then i brought everything else upstairs here to my bedroom where I keep my computer.

And then I had to seek the refuge of my bed and darkness, for the toll of that walk home fast manifested.

When eventually my brother finished with the Sunday morning edition of The Province that I subscribed to, and I heard the T.V. turn on, I came downstairs to prepare an instant coffee with 'the works', and then joined him.

He soon enough turned the T.V. over to me, so I put our Android TV Box into action and tuned in an Open Mike with Michael Thiessen September 3 upload to Rumble titled C.R. Wiley: Free Societies are Built on Strong Homes.

After just a few minutes, my brother voiced that it just was not of any interest ─ it was dull. I could not disagree ─ it seemed too philosophical. We desired something more 'real' or meaty.

So I tuned in a 58-minute Rumble upload from October 30, 2021, by America's Untold Stories: Sirhan Sirhan and the assassination of RFK Part One.

America's Untold Stories with Eric Hunley and Mark Groubert is featuring part one of Sirhan Sirhan and the assassination of Robert F Kennedy. There is much confusion surrounding what happened. In part one we will discuss the history, the feud between RFK and LBJ, the crime, and the trial.

This was truly interesting ─ we will watch all parts in this series eventually.

We finished up our viewing with a Dr. Joseph Mercola August 1 upload to BitChute of nearly 1¼-hour's duration (1:11:18): Dr. Mercola Interviews Alex Jones.

This interview had its surprises, for I did not fully realize that Dr. Mercola was as 'in line' about the darker forces behind what is happening in the world as he proved to be here.

At the conclusion of this video right around noon, my brother readied himself to leave earlier than he usually does in the afternoon, claiming that he intended some exercise. Well, I truly do hope that he got some ─ including the privacy to attempt some chin-ups somewhere.

The afternoon was sunny, so once my brother was gone, I had a good nap, and then at 2:17 p.m. sat outside in the sunshine while attired in just a pair of cutoffs for a bit over 1¼ hours.

And that effectively brings me up to date.

I have naught planned for the morrow, so I shall be sitting up late this evening and watching some T.V. (via our Android TV Box) once my brother returns home, probably into the latter evening. We shall see.
