Tyranny

My evening is already upon me, and this has been my wife's day off work, so I will not be dwelling too long in the construction of this post.

After my younger brother was home last evening following his daily alcoholic socializing, I put our Android TV Box to work and led us off with an episode of Chicago Fire (episode 13 "Don't Hang Up" of season nine).

And then we watched an episode of Inspector Morse. I had believed it to be the series finale, but I now see that it was only the seventh season (or series) finale ─ i.e., the third episode "Twilight of the Gods".

That is a fair relief, for I thought that we were forever done with this superb work.

We ended the night with an episode of Resident Alien ─ episode nine ("Welcome Aliens") of the first season.

My wife had come home during Inspector Morse following her full day working at the Thai restaurant where she has part-time employment. However, we never communicated, for when my brother and I were done with T.V., she was essentially shut up in her bedroom with the door mostly closed. We have separate bedrooms, so I just bade her a goodnight and went to bed in my adjacent bedroom.

This morning's T.V. fare with my brother began with Odessa Orlewicz's 35-minute video from yesterday: Awesome Event Friday Oct 7th With Maxime Bernier , Bill Vander Zalm, And Doctors At The College Of Physicians & Surgeons 1-4pm Vancouver.

I interview Cris Vlek about an imperative tour and Stand United about holding the College accountable.

Her other guests were Marcella Desjarlais and James Davison.

I would love to attend this event. However, even though I live in Surrey, I have no transportation and absolutely refuse to endure SkyTrain.

Next we watched some more of the 6½-hour (6:32:13) documentary on BitChute that we left off from on Saturday: Adolph Hitler: The Greatest Story Never Told

We still have lots more of it to get through, but fortunately BitChute is remembering where we left off and plays the documentary from that point.

We understand that a lot of what is being presented is being slanted to either favour or disfavour certain military factions and actions, but it does bring up much that has made my brother and I think a little differently.

We finished off our morning viewing with an episode each of The Last O.G. (episode 6 "Keep Their Heads Ringing" of season two) and United States of Tara (episode 12 "From This Day Forward", the second season finale).

This brought us deep into the latter half of the noon hour, and was when my wife finally got up. My brother sought some bed rest, but I dallied a while longer before seeking a nap while my wife was performing chores.

Both my brother and she were gone when I rose, but she had only left to do some grocery shopping and was soon enough back.

She has been tentatively pushing to see if I would be amenable to her using my credit card to charge up a flight for her to visit her family in Thailand and to sell some property that she has there.

My wife could have made quite a number of such flights already this year if she had not blown untold thousands of dollars feeding her gambling addiction. I am not going any deeper into debt to abet her folly.

Nevertheless, I do have something over 79,600 Aeroplan points, so I spent a good portion of the afternoon first setting up my own online account, and then doing the same for her (she has no Aeroplan affiliation) while also linking our two accounts.

This would make it possible for her to use my points. I took more than two decades to build up my Aeroplan account. I am willing to surrender my points to her, but I would prefer that this is only done in an emergency ─ such as her mother's imminent death, for example.

If my wife ever sold her Thailand property, she is too foolishly weak to not have another recidivistic lapse that would see her blowing her golden egg in one of the local casinos hereabouts. I do not drive, so I can do nothing to prevent her. Besides, she spends her weekends elsewhere ─ such is our sorry marriage.

Something else that occupied me this afternoon was finally finishing up and publishing a post that I have spent months working on at one of my two hosted websites, My Retirement Dream: Thailand Thailand AA.

The post exceeds 30,000 words, but I know that few will ever visit it.

There was something else that I considered posting about that related to yesterday afternoon, but I am going to withhold broaching that very personal topic for the present.

The day has been primarily overcast, so I have not needed to fret about getting in any backyard sunning this afternoon. This was a good day for such a break ─ I did not have the time to spare to be just sitting outside doing nothing.
