The Freedom Solution

 So undeniably true!

My hopes of an early bedtime last evening were dashed when I noticed my younger brother arriving home around 9:15 p.m. from his daily 'socializing'. My further hope had been that I would be getting up at 2:30 a.m. for a walk in excess of five miles here in Surrey. However, that would only be possible if my brother had failed to meet the 9:30 p.m. deadline that I had in place for him.

Now I was self-obligated to sit up in the operation of our Android TV Box to fetch link sources for episodes of T.V. series that we follow in common.

Normally in the early a.m. of a Sunday I would not need to rise until 4 or even 4:30 a.m., for I do my special grocery shopping on Sundays at either of two markets that open at 7 a.m. Rising at 4 or 4:30 a.m. affords me the opportunity to have a black instant coffee to help me normalize for the venture, for I like ensuring that overall I am obtaining at least a five-mile walk out of the trip.

My only income is a monthly pension that arrives late into each month ─ last month it showed up as a direct deposit into my chequing account on August 29, Monday of last week. Well, by Friday, after my working wife plundered $1,800 of my pension, the account only contained $59.77 in its balance.

I never got to do any shopping at all before finding myself broke ─ all I managed to do was pay several bills online.

My wife promised this past Friday that she would pay back some of the plunder, but as yet this has not been done.

So for the first time this early into a month, I have not had the money with which to do any shopping.

Enough of this enormous digression, and back to last evening.

The first show I tuned in an episode of was The Innocents. About half way through it at most, I noticed that my brother was passing out, but managing to revive periodically. Towards the end of the episode, he seemed to have solidly lost his consciousness, with his head low on his chest and snoring.

It seemed very possible that I might manage to get to bed early enough after all, for even on a Sunday I do not much care to be out walking when more and more people are out there, and when the night transforms into day.

I gulped down the can of malt I had been nursing, and eagerly awaited the credits, even turning down the T.V. volume.

Then just as the closing credits began, my infernally annoying brother revived yet again, and began shaking off his earlier torpor once he realized that the episode was done.

I was trapped yet again.

Utterly annoyed but resigned to getting to bed late and thereby not being able to rise until possibly 4:30 a.m., I tuned in an episode of Inspector Morse. That was to take us into the early midnight hour.

Unfortunately, my brother felt like watching a sitcom that would take us into the second half of the midnight hour, so I tuned in an episode of Workin' Moms

We are still into the first season, and it was episode eight ("Hoop Earring") that I tuned in. I suppose that it really was seductive actress Jessalyn Wanlim whose nipple we were treated to in a scene quite late into the episode ─ this woman would completely destroy me if she was part of my life. She is smoulderingly hot.

But I want to reflect back on Inspector Morse's John Thaw.

We have progressed to the first episode ("Deadly Slumber") of season seven, but for a good number of episodes now I have noticed that the actor's right foot is used unnaturally when the actor walks. To me, it is almost as if the actor is prancing with that leg's foot, placing it ball-first onto the ground instead of heel-first as is normal practice.

Even my brother has finally acknowledged that he has noticed that something is amiss ─ he even guessed if a prosthesis might be in play.

I have researched to see if there is any sure explanation, and the best resource seems to be a lengthy discussion abut it in Wikipedia at Talk:John Thaw. I would reproduce that discussion, but it is very lengthy. So I hope that what is presently there in print does not suffer deletion.

Suffice to say concerning the right leg's foot, there is apparently no definitive explanation ─ just excellent possibilities.

By the way, I came across his obituary from February 23, 2002, in The New York Times: John Thaw Is Dead at 60; Played TV's Inspector Morse.

Anyway, I got to bed into the latter half of the midnight hour, and set my cellphone alarm for 4:30 a.m. and the desired walk. I wanted to be away no later than 4:45 a.m.

I definitely succeeded, but not with any eagerness. After getting to sleep last night, I cannot recall any wakeful breaks thereafter until that alarm sounded and pulled me from a deep sleep. I HATE being pulled from a sleep because I tend to get to sleep with such difficulty ─ it is a precious state to me.

The sky was quite overcast, so the eventual dawn was subdued, and I was well into the last half of my walk by the time the night was done.

Early into the walk, I meant to perform four sets of pull-ups on the gymnastics-style rings I typically use at an elementary school playground, but there was someone lurking thereabouts. This made me angry once more at having such a late go of my walk.

My route was pretty much identical to my walk this past Friday in the wee a.m. ─ the centre point was approximately the 9800 block of 140th Street as shown on this Google Map, for the walk's rectangular boundaries were formed by 96th and 100th Avenues on two sides, and 132nd and 148th Streets on the other two sides.

Apart from the lurking dark figure who denied me the essential privacy for my pull-ups, there were two other notable occurrences. One was the sighting of a pair of raccoons as I was walking along 100th Avenue. They were on the Green Timbers Urban Forest side of that avenue, and they faded into the forest soon after sighting me approaching along the opposite side of the road.

I don't know if they had intended to cross over to my side ─ there is a series of complexes along there featuring townhomes and perhaps even apartments, so I suppose that there are various opportunities of finding edibles that the forest does not offer.

The only other occurrence was realizing that it almost began to rain when I was something more than 2¼ miles from getting back home. It spat rain just enough to begin to show up as wet spots on the pavement, but the rain ceased before anything got wet.

I hustled on the walk in order to get home as soon as possible to avoid being out in the revealing daylight. It was 6:33 a.m. once I was into our front yard and before the front door. However, I spent a further 25 minutes outside watering garden plants in the front yard.

It was largely an unnecessary expenditure of time, for it began raining in the late morning and basically continued into at least the mid-afternoon ─ no backyard sunning for me today.

I forget just when I returned to bed, but it was after 7 a.m., and I was to remain abed for over two hours.

When I joined my brother downstairs for some T.V. after I heard him turn on that entertainment appliance, once he offered it up to me so that I could put our Android TV Box into action, I led us off with the third video in a three-part series on the CIA that was uploaded at the end of October last year by "America's Untold Stories": Family in CIA.

The CIA loves legacy and believes in family for recruitment.
How and why do so many offspring and relatives of the members of the intelligence community end up in show business, sports, the political world and the arts?
What are they doing? What is their agenda?

The series overall was very interesting. The host in the video series was Eric Hunley, and his knowledgeable guest was Mark Groubert.

Then I tuned in an August 26 upload by "Constitutional Conventions" to Rumble of 14 minutes (14:16): This Is How The Freedom Solution Gets Co-Opted

The attractive young woman giving the speech is apparently part of a Canadian group who are committed to "Natural Law" ("Common Law"?), and she was detailing why people ought not to be allowing themselves to get carried away with an upcoming "World Wide Rally for Freedom" that is set to happen around the world on September 17.

I am entirely unfamiliar with this rally, nor with Constitutional Conventions, so I am going to try and keep watch for any next video they post to Rumble.

The third video I tuned in was one of Dr. Joseph Mercola's. Fortunately it was only 38 minutes (38:04) in duration, for it was strictly audio: Dr. Mercola Interview and Dr. Andrew Saul on Hospitals and Health.

Staying involved with your care and paying close attention to everything about to be done is a crucial component, though, with or without such a bill of rights. In the video above, Dr. Andrew Saul, co-author of "Hospitals and Health," shares important tips for staying safe during a hospital stay.

Since it was not possible to watch the last video on my list this morning ─ the video is nearly 2¾ hours ─ I simply tuned in an episode of United States of Tara

I have been feeling a tad guilty that I find the young daughter ("Kate") of the central Gregson family to be so provocative, for I think the character is only supposed to be something like a precocious 15 years old at the beginning of the series. Happily, I see now that the actress portraying her is Brie Larson, who was 19 years old when the first episodes were filmed and aired back in 2009.

Jeepers, she will be turning 33 this coming October 1st!

I can sit up late in good conscience tonight, for I have nothing planned for the early morrow.

It is my realization that I am going to have to reduce the amount of detail I bring in to my blog posts, for they consume far too much of my day. This will become especially necessary if I am forced to take afternoon walks once it is no longer possible for me to sit out in the backyard in the light of day as I tend to do in the afternoons.

Once it becomes too cold, or if the weather is pouring rain, sitting outside is unthinkable.

Concerning my wife, I texted her at 4:11 p.m., detailing the dilemma concerning our chequing account. I also reminded her that even though London Life (she has me under a life insurance policy with them) has yet to try to debit the monthly payment of something like $209 from my account, they did so on the 3rd of last month.

I expect that because yesterday, today, and tomorrow comprise a long holiday weekend (Labour Day), London Life may not attempt to take the payment until this coming Tuesday. If the debit attempt fails because there are only $59.77 in the account, then my financial institution will charge me $48 for having non-sufficient funds (NSF).

I covered all of this in the fairly lengthy text, but she has not yet responded. She has not been home since she left for work Friday morning ─ she typically spends her weekends elsewhere. Our marriage is ... well, undeniably weak.

It is now after 7:30 p.m., so I am going to close this post and have a light supper and watch a movie.

Note that yesterday late afternoon / early evening when I was about to have a bath, while fully naked at the very most I weighed 186 pounds ─ maybe even 185 pounds. It has been a number of months since I have registered so low.
