Although my 3 a.m. cellphone alarm sounded last night, I turned it off but rose only to use the toilet ─ I felt myself too ill-rested to be rising for an outing to exercise my damaged right leg.
And thus three consecutive nights passed without that exercise.
Yet by 5 a.m. I was no longer able to sleep. I did try for a while longer, but scotched the further attempts and rose for the morning.
Quite some time later I busied with the watering of front yard garden plants, then checked the backyard plants and concluded soil conditions were still damp enough to leave things as were. But I felt myself limbered enough to essay a tool shed exercise session, managing better than yestermorn.
Thus, for the opening two sets of pull-ups, two and then one; it was the same for the two sets of chin-ups that followed; and the two sets of concluding pull-ups between a pair of bars were the usual single repetition apiece, but I held the hang after the final pull-up for a 70-count.
As always, there was a 30-count between sets.
And then I tackled the 20 full flat-footed squats and the 10 or 11 unassisted squats that followed those, holding the final squat for a 70-count before forcing a rise.
Back in the house, around 8 a.m. I was surprised when my wife rose for the morning. She had a full workday scheduled at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, but this was 1½ hours earlier than she would normally be getting up.
Anyway, she was to prove rather pleasant company even after I gave her a brief explanation of why charging $600 onto my VISA card so she can buy a $1,200 flight to Thailand late next month is nothing but an exorbitant outlay for me.
I can only barely afford a $500 monthly payment on the card, and doing so just reduces the balance each time by around $100. Thus, to pay down $600, it would take me six months and $3,000 at $500 a month.
As well, it would erase the past six months that got my balance to where it is now ─ so in effect, I would 'lose' benefit of the $3,000 that I already paid to this point.
In effect, charging $600 onto my credit card would be costing me $6,000 to pay down, along with a full year of my life!
But let's drop that topic for today. I will only add that I never went into the above detail.
The girl was to do a fair amount of front and back yard gardening, bless her.
My younger brother never emerged from his bedroom until the time was approaching 10 a.m., so I had control of the T.V. With him joining me, I wasted time with a YouTube video that I refuse to identify, then I tuned in The Avengers ─ season three's episode two ("The Undertakers").
If at all interested, you can watch the episode at this OK.ru link.
I am rushing this post now because it is past 7 p.m. and I still have yet to exercise my bad leg in my wife's vacant bedroom. This has been a bath day, and I just recently got that chore out of the way. Had it not been a bath day, I would have sunned this sunny afternoon ─ the whole day was sunny, in fact.
Concerning the remainder of morning T.V. with my brother, we watched the second third of the movie we got into two morning's ago, so I am having to postpone reporting on it yet again.
He had his bed rest before busing off to social drink. When he left, I was having my early afternoon nap following a light meal.
Note that stripped down for my bath, at most I was hitting 179 pounds, I would say.
Okay, time for a break from this post

Following a light supper, I tuned in Black Lightning ─ episode 10 ("The Book of Reunification: Chapter One: Revelations") of season four. My source was this GOOJATA.to link.
I was entirely unaffected by the whole episode, unfortunately. But at least it was enough excuse to have a can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol).
Since my brother was not yet home despite it being around 8:45 p.m., I elected to watch something else ─ and this time, I did have my emotions affected.
Fortunately, I noticed that what I was about to watch was the series finale episode, so I had that realization going on with me.
The show was Batwoman ─ episode 13 ("We Having Fun Yet?") of final season three. The episode was darned involving, but the epilogue sucked, since we are never going to know anything about what was likely a deformity that brutally slaughtered a female journalist and her cameraman.
How can little actress Nicole Kang be so damned hot as Mary!
And I was pleased that Alice / Beth finally found within herself what she needed to surmount who she had been ─ actress Rachel Skarsten is pretty cool.
My source for the episode was this Tvids.tv link.
Nonetheless, it's good to be done with the Gay series; I am keenly looking forward to the termination of Black Lightning as well.
My brother finally arrived home soon after Batwoman's conclusion, by which time it was possibly 9:40 p.m.
I am hoping to do some local grocery shopping early tomorrow, so I shall not be seeking to rise at 3 a.m. The store opens at 8 a.m. Fortunately, I have good colour from the sunning I accumulated the previous two days; thus I may have the confidence to manage making the round trip of perhaps mile.
But we shall see how I fare with sleep tonight.
'Tis 10:09 p.m. I shall brush my teeth and start shutting down browsers and tabs here on my bedside computer, and then be to bed.
