The Agenda

With my cellphone alarm set for 3 a.m. last night, a wakeful point arrived when ─ although I was awake, I was feeling plenty short of sleep due to how hard it had been to finally get to sleep when I first retired ─ I decided to cancel my alarm and not get up for an outing for the second consecutive night.

I picked up my cellphone ... and it immediately began sounding the alarm. It was exactly 3 a.m.

I remained in bed but for a visit to the toilet; and though I eventually rose somewhere around 6:15 - 6:20 a.m., my sleep was very broken.

My first order of business was to water the garden plants in the front yard; and then I did similarly in the backyard. Since this activity had loosened me up somewhat, I next had myself a token exercise session in the tool shed. I think I only managed a repetition in each of the six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups, still feeling overworked for the muscles and such involved in shoulders and arms.

I held the hang of the final pull-up for a 70-count.

I also engaged 20 assisted full flat-footed squats to work my bad right leg, and then topped those with 10 or 11 unassisted squats, holding the final one for at least a 70-count.

Later, my younger brother was to emerge from his bedroom maybe around 8:15 - 8:20 a.m., but I did not join him for any T.V. until a little past 9 a.m.

Upon being invited towards 9:15 a.m. to tune in something with our Android TV Box, I selected a video well in excess of 1¾ hours (1:52:18) that had been published two days ago to Rumble's OracleFilms channel: The Agenda: Their Vision - Your Future (2025) | Full Documentary | Oracle Films.

The Agenda: Their Vision | Your Future is a feature-length independent documentary produced by Mark Sharman; former UK broadcasting executive at ITV and Sky (formerly BSkyB).

In fiction and fact, there have always been people and organisations with ambitions to control the world. And now the oligarchs who pull the strings of finance and power finally have the tools to achieve their global objectives; omnipresent surveillance, artificial intelligence, digital currency and ultimately digital identities. The potential for social control of our lives and minds is alarmingly real.

The plan has been decades in the making and has seen infiltration of Governments, local councils, big business, civil society, the media and, crucially, education. A ceaseless push for a new reality, echoing Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, or George Orwell’s 1984.

The Agenda: Their Vision, Your Future examines the digital prison which awaits us if we do not push back right now. How your food, energy, money, travel and even your access to the internet could be limited and controlled; how financial power is strangling democracy and how global institutions like the World Health Organisation are commandeered to champion ideological and fiscal objectives.

The centrepiece is man-made climate change and with it, the race to Net Zero. Both are encapsulated in the United Nations and its Agenda 2030. A force for good? Or “a blank cheque for totalitarian global control”?

The Agenda presents expert views from the UK, the USA and Europe.

Superbly done, that one! In fact, I posted a link to the video in a Facebook post, but I expect that the effort will have been futile.

I would that it were otherwise, but my brother showed no inclination to watch aught further, so somewhere around 11:15 a.m. he returned to his bedroom for further rest. His early afternoon was to involve him busing away to start social drinking, after all.

I had a sensibly-sized first of two small meals of my day and then sought a nap. My brother was gone when I rose ─ probably after only an hour.

The day was sunny, so for a second consecutive afternoon I sunned. Officially my session began 2:41 p.m. and terminated 4:15 p.m., although I was out in the backyard longer than that.

Back in the house, my blogging commenced. A little past 6 p.m. I broke for some exercise in my wife's vacant bedroom, but I was in a fell mood. It seemed to me best that I watch a Christmas movie and enjoy a couple of cans of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol), which I did.

The movie proved pretty darned good ─ 2018's The Christmas Contract.

The lead actress ─ Hilarie Burton ─ was rather familiar, but I do not know why. She seemed to remind me of someone, but I could not identify who.

Her leading man was definitely known to me, although not by name ─ actor Robert Buckley. I watched the whole movie thinking that he played the character "Daniel" from the cast of Stargate SG-1. But now in checking his acting credits, I see that I am most familiar with Robert from both iZombie and Chesapeake Shores.

Hilarie's movie parents were of course most familiar to me ─ Bruce Boxleitner and Cheryl Ladd. Rather surprisingly, the actress playing Hilarie's movie sister was Cheryl Ladd's actual daughter ─ Jordan Ladd. So the actress Jordan really was the daughter of actress Cheryl, and not just portraying the mutual characters in those roles.

An actress portraying a close friend of Cheryl Ladd's character was almost smoking hot ─ Susan Gallagher. In the present she is 65 years old, so I suppose when the movie was being filmed she would have been maybe 59.

If interested, I watched the movie until just past the 68-minute mark at this VidSRC.net link, and then it refused to play further. So I finished it with no trouble at this uFLIX.to link.

I badly wanted to watch a regular show and have one further beer, but by the time I was set to do so, it was already just after 9 p.m. My brother was not yet home, but anon Bev was to shut herself up in their bedroom to watch her T.V. there. This would make me vulnerable to becoming involved with my brother once he was home if he realized that I was still up and thus available to him, so I dared not tune in anything else.

I hope to get up at 3 a.m. and not consecutively lose out on a third night's walk to exercise my knee and get in some pull-ups and chin-ups at the nearby elementary school playground, but we shall see what I have to write about tomorrow.

Time to start shutting down ─ it is 9:54 p.m.
