Although I found myself rising to use the toilet around 5:08 a.m., I thereafter returned to bed and remained there until my 6 a.m. cellphone alarm summoned me to commence the morning.
In putting some work on our R69 Plus Android 14 TV Box ─ an ongoing project ─ I discovered that it was not recognizing that the internet cable was attached, claiming no Ethernet. Nothing I tried changed anything, and I was getting fed up having to keep hobbling up and down the 13 or 14 steps of stairway to access my bedside computer.
I knew there was nothing wrong with the internet cable because yesterday I attached our old T95Q Android 9 TV Box to the T.V.'s HTMI 1 port, and so when I removed the cable from the Android 14 Box and inserted it into the old Android 9 Box, I had full internet access for the streaming apps installed in it.
I have pretty much given up on the Android 14 TV Box. When we have finished watching a downloaded movie ─ we had our second sitting this morning, but there are still something over 40 minutes remaining ─ and I do not need the MX Player to 'remember' where we have left off so that it can resume playing the movie, I am going to perform a factory reset of the Android 14 TV Box.
And then begin all over again uninstalling certain apps that came with the Box, and installing others that I want.
Such a nuisance.
Around 7:30 a.m. I went out to the backyard tool shed for the usual exercise session, and surprised myself a little. Normally I am only able to manage a single repetition in all six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups, but this time I managed two pull-ups to open; and in the third set, which is the first of two sets of chin-ups, I was able to force out two repetitions there as well.
Perhaps my aggravation over the Android TV Box energized me.
Of course I also had the squat work to strengthen my crippled right leg.
My younger brother emerged from his bedroom a little while past 8 a.m., but I never joined him for our T.V. time together until around 9:10 a.m. And no sooner did I seat myself than he invited me to take over the T.V. with our Android TV Box.
The Android 14 was still not internet-connected, so I attached the cable to the Android 9, and I led us off with a 26-minute (26:14) video published yesterday to Rumble's Libertytalkcanada channel: Canadians To Go To Jail For Stating TRUE FACTS Under Commie Carney & BC Chaos Continues.
Shocking: In Carney's Communist Canada Stating A TRUE FACT May Soon Become A FEDERAL CRIME. Also- BC's Premier David Eby LIED To British Columbians & Will NOT Amend The Most Horrific Parts Of UN's DRIPA As Promised & New BC Treaties Causing Legal Threats From Other Indigenous Bands.
Then I tuned in a video well over an hour (1:09:08) that had been published yesterday to Rumble's Shawn Ryan Show: Nick Shirley - How Did a Dog Vote in 2 California Elections? | SRS #297.
Nick Shirley is an American independent journalist, YouTuber, and content creator known for on-the-ground investigative reporting and street interviews. He initially gained attention as a teenager producing prank and shock-style content, including a 2019 video documenting a solo trip to New York at age 16. He later transitioned into political and cultural journalism, focusing on protests, immigration issues, and government accountability.
Originally from Utah, Shirley has built a digital audience of over 1 million YouTube subscribers and hundreds of millions of views across platforms. His reporting style is direct and minimalist, often conducted in real-time and on location.
In December 2025, Shirley drew national attention with a viral investigation into alleged fraud in Minnesota’s government-funded childcare programs, claiming over $100 million in misused funds. The video amassed more than 100 million views on X and contributed to increased public scrutiny, including comments from the FBI.
His latest episode builds on this work, focusing on alleged fraud and misuse of government funds in California, continuing his broader investigative coverage of public spending and institutional accountability. Shirley’s content often aligns with conservative perspectives while emphasizing transparency and oversight.
After that was when we got back into the movie that is truly interesting and exciting. We had to stop short by something over 40 minutes so that my brother could seek further bed rest.
I stupidly failed to get back to bed for my nap until too near 1 p.m., but I don't think I jeopardized much of my afternoon at all.
With my wife away to work ─ she had a full workday today, and so emerged from her bedroom around 9:35 a.m. to shower, and then a half hour or so later left on her rather long drive ─ around 3:45 p.m. I availed myself of her vacant bedroom for some light exercising. And right now at 4:41 p.m., I am going to take my blogging break to eat my day's second and final meal, and then I will watch three T.V. shows here on my bedside computer while doing some drinking.
I will finish up this post later in the evening.
ππππ
First up was Profiler ─ episode seven ("Night Dreams") of season one. My source was at 1Moviesz.to ─ you will have to search out the website and the specific link yourself, for this blog platform is willing to ban my posts if I use live links to websites they disapprove.
It was, as usual, a pretty good episode. I am hoping that as the seasons of the series advance, the video quality will improve.
I watched the episode with a can of Cariboo Malt (7.9% alcohol), and both were done by 6:22 p.m.
My second beer went with The Crow: Stairway to Heaven ─ the premiere episode ("The Soul Can't Rest") of the only season. My source was at this Archive.org link where all the series episodes are located, but evidently this specific episode is also at this YouTube link.
Sure, it was interesting, but not quite material I can lose myself into. The only time I was touched was near the end when young Sarah and her mother seemed to have the potential of becoming close. I am only watching the series because at some point actress Meghan Ory is to make an early acting appearance.
The show was over by 7:33 p.m., and apparently my brother had come home at some point from his daily afternoon bus ride to go social drinking.
I sampled one further premiere episode of a T.V. series ─ a series that, when I first became aware of it a few days ago, I was going to pass on.
If this first episode is sure, then missing out would have been a massive mistake!
The series is Ragnarok ─ obviously, the first episode of its three seasons ("New Boy"). My source was BiliBili.tv that I have read is blocked here in Canada. but I used the Brave browser ─ I have no idea if that was why I had no issue accessing it. The actual link text I used after BiliBili.tv was /en/video/2047060545, so good luck if you attempt it.
The reason I wanted to give the series a try is because actress Emma Bones is featured ─ I became something of a fan because of the T.V. series Heimebane (translated as Home Ground).
I enjoyed Ragnarok with about 12 ounces of Copper Moon Shiraz wine (13% alcohol) that was the virgin pour from a four-litre box now broached.
This episode was intriguing enough that I wish I could share it with my brother, but he is unavailable in the evenings due to Bev's 'ownership' of the T.V. from the time she emerges from their bedroom in the early afternoon. Also, he generally just passes in and out while they watch old shows she likes. He's becoming more and more like an old woman.
The show and my glass of wine were done by 8:53 p.m.
I still had maybe three ounces remaining in the nearly-done four-litre box of Sommet Rouge wine (12% alcohol), so I poured that into my glass, and it proved perfectly adequate for a sitcom I wanted to try out: Big Wolf on Campus ─ the pilot episode of season one.
It was fun! And once again, I watched the episode at an Archives.org link, but I cannot say if all other episodes are also available there. Much of the series seems available at YouTube here.
I originally became interested in the series only because actress Rachelle Lefevre had an early acting start there ─ I dug her in A Gifted Man, although she has long been a familiar face.
The entertaining episode was done by 9:50 p.m., at which point I discovered that my wife had recently arrived home.
Right now it is 10;20 p.m., so I am going to publish this post, brush my teeth, and see if I can be to bed ahead of 11:30 p.m.
