Early last evening I managed to watch yet another Christmas movie. I did not have much faith that it would be one that I would enjoy, but my doubts were mislaid. The movie was 2015's Rodeo & Juliet.
"Rodeo" happened to be the name of a horse that City Girl Juliet quickly grew to love after her mother forced her into leaving New York City to spend a couple of weeks at the horse farm that had belonged to the mother's father ─ i.e., Juliet's grandfather.
Juliet had never met her late grandfather, for her mother had bailed on her country life 20 years earlier to make something of herself in the city. And now the mother had to return to the family farm to deal with the estate of her father.
The mother was played by a too-beautiful and young-looking actress named Krista Allen who was unknown to me, but who apparently had the lead in an erotic 1994 T.V. series called Emmanuelle in Space.
The teen daughter was also played by an unknown-to-me actress ─ Nadine Crocker.
Both actresses looked darned good in tight jeans! And there was a scene taking place in a barn dance where Nadine wore a tight black dress with a slit all the way up the leg ─ the thigh that was occasionally revealed was top-notch in my books.
The movie was not really a Christmas movie at all, for Christmas was only a nominal background feature that did not figure into the story. But even so, I did enjoy the movie ─ and it afforded me the opportunity to drink my last two cans of average strength (5.5% alcohol) beer while having a good shot of spiced rum with each of them.
I intended to see if I would be able to wean myself from much drinking today, but my wife has deflated that goal. She went out late this morning to supposedly discharge some errands ─ I hope that one of them was to pay her car insurance and renew her I.D., for two days ago I gave her $500 towards that purpose.
Well, early this afternoon I checked my chequing account online to see if the remainder of my monthly pension had been deposited, for I had received an advance on it ahead of Christmas.
Yes, it had been deposited ... but my wife had already taken $900 of it, leaving me something over $500. I paid a couple of small bills, and then tried to pay $400 against a larger bill (I had hoped to pay $500), but the transaction would not complete ─ the claim was that there were insufficient funds remaining in the account, even though I was seeing well over $400 in it.
So I logged out, and checked the account again a little later. I then saw the problem ─ my wife had taken a further $300 from it, leaving me $144 and change.
So that is $1,700 that she has taken from me these past two days, and there is no way that she is getting away with this. Much of that money was intended for credit card bills I am responsible for that she racked up and left me indebted to.
Also, the January mortgage payment will be due around the 22nd. I will be getting an unknown amount in a quarterly RRIF payment mid-January that has varied in the past from something under $300 to over $500, but my wife in the past has gotten to that money before I have had a chance to withdraw it to have it safely on hand.
She is a gambling addict, so I have no bloody idea what is going on with her today. She normally does not visit a casino until late at night on days when she has had to work ─ there is a casino near the restaurant where she is employed. That she might actually be away gambling while she is perfectly sober defies my understanding and tolerance.
As I said, I will require an explanation from her. But if she does not come home by mid-evening, then I am going to inform her sons ─ or whichever of them is home if both of them are not.
This effing insanity has to stop.
And the woman thinks that she is going to fly off to Italy in mid-January to spend two months there on a visit to a sister who has made that country her home?
Not with any help from me!
I have to get off this topic.
Despite last evening's bit of drinking ─ which actually was not all that serious ─ I did not feel too poorly this morning. When my brother left to pick up his girlfriend Bev at 10 a.m. to drive her to work, I was actually feeling somewhat eager to get out to the backyard tool shed to tackle some exercising.
I did quite well, matching my recent maximums in repetitions for six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups: 5 - 2 - 3 - 2 - 2 - 2.
I did not weigh myself, but two mornings ago while fully dressed for the tool shed, I was around 190 / 191 pounds at just under five feet and 11 inches ─ I am 73 years old, as well. But that morning, I could manage no more than three repetitions in the first set, and just two in all of the others, so I added three extra sets just to jack up the total repetitions.
Anyway, I felt rather good about myself this morning, for I had begun feeling concern that I had backslid such that it was going to be a long while before I would ever manage those former totals.
Prior to my brother leaving for Bev, we had watched a fairly short upload recorded yesterday by Christopher James Pritchard (A Warrior Calls): AI Dominion Games Ep 11: DEADBEAT PARENTS IN AR SUICIDE GAMES.
The description accompanying that video is far too lengthy and admittedly dreary for me to care to be reproducing here.
Once my brother was back this morning, we watched a couple of more interesting videos, beginning with a December 22 upload to Rumble by Tessa Lena (Tessa Fights Robots) that was a little over an hour in duration (1:08:07): Federation of State Medical Boards: Tessa Lena Talks to Dr. Bruce Dooley.
Then I tuned in a November 5 upload to YouTube that was not too much shy of being 1½ hours (1:23:48): How Elites Will Create a New Class of Slaves | Whitney Webb | The Glenn Beck Podcast | Ep 162.
Journalist Whitney Webb has worked to uncover some of the most dangerous stories of our lifetime, and she joins Glenn to reveal just how eye-opening it’s been. Her new two-volume book, “One Nation Under Blackmail: The Sordid Union Between Intelligence and Crime that Gave Rise to Jeffrey Epstein,” examines Epstein’s elaborate network of corruption and power, from Bill Clinton to Ghislaine Maxwell and many more. Her research into transhumanism has given her a terrifying perspective on the World Economic Forum and tech elites, including Elon Musk. And she tells Glenn the dark truth about Biden’s push for electric vehicles that she noticed while living in Chile.
I was tickled that at the video's conclusion, my brother offered that Whitney is an unusually bright young woman.
I am going to conclude this post here today. The rain stopped at some point overnight, and temperatures are remaining quite mild ─ well above freezing.
Had my wife left my money alone today, I would have gone out after dark for the walk to withdraw the bulk of what remained after I had paid the bills that I wanted to clear. But that grasping woman got to my money first.
Why does she bother working? She blows her money, and then goes to town on mine.
I am going to hit that bottle of spiced rum ─ I need to annul the pain I am presently feeling.
