Oh, Worry, Worry ─ Weary Ends My Day

At this time yesterday, I had something over $173 in my chequing account. However, after my wife finished work at the Thai restaurant where she is employed part-time, she withdrew $120 of that amount, leaving a little more than $53.

Had there been more money available, I expect that she would have taken and gambled it away.

I have no idea when she got home last night (we have separate bedrooms), but it was nearing 1 a.m. when I got to bed. My younger brother hadn't gotten home until after 10 p.m., so he and I only had time to watch an episode each of two of the T.V. series that we follow in common.

This morning I was to find an amount of cash that my wife had slipped beneath my bedroom door, but I stupidly failed to make an accurate count of the sum. Initially I thought that maybe there were $400 in the collection, but I did not verify this before amassing the money into a store that I had previously withdrawn from my account and squirrelled away out of her reach.

I wold have pressed her about the amount this morning, but she had to work another full day today, while I needed to replenish my strong (8% alcohol) malt supply by going with my brother when he left to pick up his girlfriend Bev at 10 a.m. to drive her to work.

My wife had not yet emerged from her bedroom when we left (the restaurant opens at 11 a.m.), but by the time we returned home she was gone for the day. She had apparently showered and everything else that it is that she does on such mornings.

But at least I now have another four dozen cans of the malt. The previous time I had bought four dozen, the full price with taxes came to $76.47, so that was the least that I would have had to pay this time.

My wife has me signed up for a life insurance policy that usually sees the monthly sum of nigh $210 taken from my account on the 3rd of each month. Unfortunately, I cannot remember if the debit occurs on the same date if it is a weekend, such as is tomorrow.

I want to make an ATM deposit of $200 to cover that imminent debit, but I do not want to put the money into the account this evening and have my wife go gambling again after she finishes work, helping herself to that money.

Thus, unsure whether or not the debit will actually occur tomorrow and not on Monday instead, it seems that prudence is going to compel me to make the deposit early into the a.m. after my brother and I finish watching T.V. together this evening. Hopefully, my wife will have finished with her foolishness and be on her way home if she has not already shown up sensibly later this evening.

It is frigid out; we even had at least a couple of hours of snowfall this morning and on into the noon hour, adding a topping to the three or so inches remaining from what fell a couple of days ago and is now frozen.

My financial institution's ATM is a walk of almost a mile from here (I do not drive), so I am not exactly eager to be dealing with this nighttime errand off into the cold. At least if my wife does come home in the evening, I will know that the intended deposit will be secure from her.

Notwithstanding, if the life insurance debit becomes delayed until Monday due to the weekend, then I will have to fret that the money is at risk anyway, for I have no idea what may happen with her tomorrow night. She has to work tomorrow from 4 or 4:30 p.m. and will not be returning home ─ she tends to spend her free weekends elsewhere (such is our sorry marriage).

Yes, this sucks.

Changing topics, this morning my brother and I watched a couple of fairly interesting videos, leading off with one that Christopher James Pritchard (A Warrior Calls) uploaded today to Rumble and which he had livestreamed yesterday: Emergency Broadcast People of Canada (Part 2).

Christopher does not usually feel it needful to provide an actual description of his videos, so I am not going to take any pains to do so for this one. However, early into it he made mention of the apparently serious financial difficulties that his collaborator David Hawkins is experiencing, reportedly worrying to Christopher about how he was going to manage to pay his rent.

I am in no position to help the man, but I will link to the two most recent videos that Christopher and David recorded.

The second video that I tuned in was uploaded to Rumble yesterday by Steve Kirsch's Vaccine Safety Research Foundation, and was almost two hours long (1:52:22): Full Episode EP#57: Dr. Peter McCullough, MD/MPH, Dr. Aseem Malhotra MD, & Five Times August.

The video featured the two doctors each making a very good presentation in Dallas at a special event this past week that I believe was sponsored by the Vaccine Safety Research Foundation.

My brother reluctantly sought some bed rest before the video was done, for he had an appointment to play pool with a drinking buddy at a pub. He will be home sometime this evening.

I was having my own nap when he evidently left for the day.

My evening is already underway ─ it is well past 7:30 p.m. Consequently, since I cannot predict just what is going to happen this evening with my wife nor my ATM hike, I am going to close this post here.
