I had my usual five-mile (minimum) walk last evening instead of in the wee a.m. overnight ─ I did not do the grocery shopping that I wrote about in yesterday's post. I had foolishly left the bulk of my money in my new account instead of transferring some over into my old account where I could access it.
It seems that my new debit card for the new account can only be activated in person at the bank ─ the withdrawal transaction I attempted last evening was "declined".
But, "Thank you for choosing us" was their parting message ─ the irritating bastards! I only had $10 in cash on me.
My younger brother had arrived home before I left on that outing, which I did not get underway until maybe 9:10 p.m. Fortunately, he was engaged in a lengthy telephone conversation when I left, so we never communicated.
I believe that it was 11:12 p.m. once I was back home.
I did stop early into the walk for six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups, managing repetitions of 3 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 in those sets. Before leaving home, I had weighed myself while fully clothed and in my boots, and registered at something like 202 pounds.
I neglected to mention in yesterday's post that when I weighed myself early Saturday evening while entirely naked ─ and after not having eaten in well over 24 hours ─ I weighed 189 pounds. I should not be more than the lower 180s.
My brother was still up when I got home last night, so I watched T.V. with him until he separated just ahead of 12:30 a.m. to ready himself for bed.
I had a bad night's sleep ─ I seemed to be physically restless. Eventually I would have risen to do some work here at my computer, but I was far too ill-slept. Had I risen, all I would have been capable of was just watching T.V., so I stayed in bed.
After my brother and I got together this morning for some T.V., the main thing we were to watch via our Android TV Box was Odessa Orlewicz's video of yesterday ─ the video was just over two hours (2:02:13) in length: Interview With Mark Steele - UK Weapons Expert and Legend.
Mark Steele is a weapons expert and worked on undisclosed projects for UK's Ministry Of Defence. Mark is a legend. He has a lot to say about 5G and much much more...
I have not before heard of the gent, but he certainly had a most interesting take of why we have been pushed and even mandated to get inoculated, masked, and forced to socially distance by six feet. It made perfect sense!
Odessa is abominable for never providing proper links to websites relating to her guests, so I had to locate Mark Steele's on my own: Save Us Now. Its rather slick slogan is "The S-U-N is Rising".
Early into the noon hour my brother sought some bed rest. I had my first meal of the day, and was in bed searching for a nap when he rose and left for the day to socialize.
There has been some light rain betimes over the day.
My youngest stepson and I had some togetherness this afternoon ─ he spared me one huge load of bother.
Unbeknownst to me, his mother (who is in Rome, Italy) had let me know earlier that she had sent over $970 to me via Ria Money Transfer (RiaMoneyTransfer.com) ─ $400 was to replace money she had borrowed from the monthly mortgage payment due to be debited tomorrow or the day after, and the remainder was for me to put into her own account.
I had never even heard of this outfit before, and the outlet she had directed that I go to was better than a mile from here. This was not something I was at all keen on having to do, since I would need to walk (I do not drive).
Well, evidently she had communicated with the lad and asked him to drive me, and he was perfectly okay about the errand. He offered himself, and we got the chore done ─ but it was not easy. We tried three different locations without seeing any sign of Ria, and finally deduced that maybe some business was peripherally affiliated with Ria and thus was not advertised as such.
And so it was.
Meantime, we had done a fair amount of walking about while he vainly referred to his smartphone for directions to various supposed Ria outlets, but the businesses at these locations were presently no longer associated with Ria ─ in fact, one woman said that they had separated from Ria a year or so ago.
The lad then suggested that we try a money exchange or similar business near to where we had originally parked ─ maybe they were Ria agents on the side.
As already said above, and so it was. There just was no sign out front that there was any relationship. Fortunately, they were able to pay me the full amount in cash without a word of demur.
Had I walked and attempted this project on my own, I have no idea what I would have done ─ it might have been a debacle.
I still have to deposit the money, but I will do that after dark when I have my anonymity, and the busy bustle of day has died down. The ATM is nearly a mile from here, so I will still be getting some further walking in this business.
The night is my friend.
By the way, I did get in some exercising this morning in the backyard tool shed, for my brother had to leave to pick up his girlfriend Bev at 10 a.m. and drive her to work.
Dressed precisely as I was to be for the pull-ups and chin-ups, I weighed in at somewhere around 195 pounds (the actual reading now escapes me). I was unable to achieve my maximums for repetitions in six sets, so I performed seven sets: 3 - 2 - 2 - 3 - 2 - 2 - 2.
My ATM walk is nearing, so I am going to close and publish this post, and rest my eyes for a bit before readying and heading out.
