Taking on a Grizzly Bear

Following an episode last evening of Castle Rock, I tuned in a movie for my brother and I to watch (all made possible by our Android TV Box) ─ 2007's 88 Minutes.

I had selected the movie because my favourite Alicia Witt was featured in a primary secondary role ─ Al Pacino had the lead role.

Admittedly I was not fussy that Alicia's character was supposedly interested sexually / romantically in Al Pacino's character ─ he not only dressed like Groucho Marx, he even appeared to have the same barber / hairstylist ─ but he was 35 years older than her, for Pete's sake!

Other than that, her character was savvy and strong-willed, and I very much liked that.

There were a number of other familiar faces in the movie, including a couple I could actually name such as William Forsythe and Amy Brenneman.

The movie certainly had a riveting and horrifying opening!

Once the show was done, my brother confessed that he very much enjoyed it, and apologized for privately thinking that I was inflicting some stinker upon him.

I used one of the apps that I have downloaded into our Android TV Box to find a movie source, but there are enough website sources ─ MoviesJoy is one example.

Our morning T.V. fare beginning at 9 a.m. today was ─ as usual ─ a far different sort.

Christopher James Pritchard had two new offerings that were uploaded yesterday at his Rumble channel A Warrior Calls. Unfortunately, Rumble is not cooperating at present, and I am unable to get any activity with the website, so I cannot link to anything.

Likewise for the single video we watched thereafter that I believe had been uploaded yesterday to Rumble's Vaccine Safety Research Foundation channel. That latter video was quite long, and brought us to 1 p.m.

My brother was so anxious to get away to play pool at a pub with one of his drinking buddies that he never even sought a rest, and he will not return until sometime this evening.

I will not be watching T.V. with him ─ early in the a.m. I will be having one of my five-mile (minimum) walks, so it is imperative that I retire this evening relatively early. It is not a simple matter to get up at 2 a.m. for one of these excursions.

We had quite the sunny day. It should likely not be too very long before I can actually start taking some Sun in the backyard ─ perhaps in a month?

This is a bath day for me, so with my evening now early upon me, I am not going to delay publishing this post simply because Rumble might reactivate. It had its chance.

By the way, I did indeed have some exercising out in the backyard tool shed this morning when my brother left to pick up his girlfriend Bev at 10 a.m. to drive her to work.

Fully clothed and in a pair of runners, I had weighed in at 197 pounds. Whether that was sufficient to cow me, or if I am just overworked, I could not achieve my current ceiling of repetitions in six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups (i.e., 4 - 2 - 3 - 2 - 2 - 2).

Instead, I included eight sets, managing only 3 repetitions in the first set, and then just two in each of the succeeding seven sets.

I have got to lose some abdominal flab!

I close today's post with this exciting March 10 article at ESPN.com: The college wrestlers who took on a grizzly bear.
