"Measles Anyone?"

X (formerly Twitter): Michael Shellenberger

I may or may not have made it to bed last evening by 9:30 p.m., but I definitely roused to my 1:30 a.m. cellphone alarm.

My wife's bedroom light was still on, so I readied surreptitiously for my five-mile+ walk. She appears to have put away a 750-ml bottle of red wine ─ Backyard Vineyards 2018 Nosey Neighbour Red. I am confident that it is a bottle that I had bought months back and had put away, for only the 2019 seems available for sale now, although the government liquor store claims to be selling the 2018 despite advertising it with a 2017 bottle.

The purchase had originally been done by me secretly for her benefit, so I am perfectly okay that she dipped into my little stash. She put in quite an afternoon yesterday cleaning.

Anyway, by the time I was set to go on my walk, I weighed in at about 191 pounds fully clothed ─ which was unexpectedly high, but I felt remarkably able.

It was (I believe) 2:18 a.m. once I was on my way under a partially clear night sky after a dry, partially sunny day.

I had my bit of exercise at the nearby elementary school playground, and found myself weak for pull-ups on the gymnastics-style rings as a consequence of not having exercised on them for a number of days. I failed to manage two repetitions in the closing set, and so held the final very partial pull-up for a 20-count.

I have lately begun ensuring that I lower myself to a total loose hang before seeking the next repetitions. Thus overall, I only managed three and then two pull-ups on a bar in the first two sets, and the same for chin-ups in the next two sets before tackling the rings.

And I finished up with 11 slow, full-range push-ups in a declined position on a cement ramp.

I recall nothing of note concerning the walk, and was back home at 4:18 a.m.

I returned to bed after 5:30 a.m., I believe; but before 6 a.m. And I was to rise barely ahead of 8:30 a.m., but I had been awake since just past 8 a.m. feeling so dreadfully in need of more sleep, but unwilling to engage the need despite feeling too weary to rise.

I was up and had control of the T.V. before my younger brother emerged from his bedroom shortly past 9 a.m., so I never had to put up with his crappy morning T.V. garbage news shows.

I led us off with a delightful 8½-minute video that had been added earlier today to Rumble's AKStraightSpeaks channel: Measles Anyone? School sends email warning of cases.

Just another thing the Provincial Health Officer wants to gently poke you with.

I love dear Anita!

Next I tuned in a 37-minute (37:21) video added to Rumble's The HighWire with Del Bigtree channel: SENATOR RAND PAUL: EXPOSING THE COVID COVER-UP.

Del sits down with one of Anthony Fauci’s biggest adversaries, Senator Rand Paul. Hear how his perspective as a physician and politician led to holding Fauci to the fire on his cover-up of gain-of-function research, his push for draconian lockdowns, and refusal to accept the strength of natural immunity against COVID. His new book, Deception: The Great Covid Cover-Up, reads as a forensic investigation, chronicling the disastrous failure of government and public health during the pandemic.

That was very interesting, but so damned aggravating and frustrating that Fauci is evidently completely untouchable despite his open lying in a Congress investigation. My brother mirrored a recent thought I have been having ─ namely, that the States needs to have a guy like the 1950s U.S. Senator Joseph McCarthy who had such 'a hard-on' for Communism.

The third video I tuned in was a bloody waste of our time. We watched nearly an hour of it before I realized that it was from January 2023. Apparently the host no longer uses his Rumble account, and only posts to BitChute anymore.

We finished up with a 54-minute (54:28) video uploaded back on May 4, 2013, to YouTube's The Best Film Archives channel: Bloody War with the Japanese Invaders - The Philippines Hell_WWII Documentary on the Pacific Theatre.

The day had considerable sunny breaks, so this will prove of benefit to my brother ─ this is one of his days to catch a couple of buses in order to rendezvous with drinking buddies at a pub.

He had some bed rest following that WWII documentary, and I was able to seek my own early afternoon nap before my wife emerged from her bedroom. However, I never got to enjoy even so much as an hour in bed because she became embroiled with an agent at a bank or some such and came close to shouting over the course of the conversation.

By this time I was to find that my brother had already left for the day.

My wife was to have to work beginning in the latter afternoon, so she commenced her fairly long drive before 3:30 p.m., I would say.

I want to have an evening walk so that I will not have to have a walk overnight, so I am going to bring this post to a close and rest up ─ my eyes especially need it.
