Putting off Until Tomorrow
I was up at 1:30 a.m. overnight for what was to be another of my five-mile+ walks ─ I decided against the hike to Shoppers Drug Mart in Surrey's Fleetwood area. It was not the slight additional distance. Rather, I decided that there was nothing at the drugstore that I actually needed ─ I knew of no sales on the nutritional supplements that I keep myself stocked with, and regular prices were nothing commendable.
I think that my wife was just retiring when I rose; no one else was up.
It was 2:14 a.m. once I was outside and set to go. The sky had considerable light cloud, but all was dry. And when I got to the elementary school playground three or four blocks away for some exercise, the equipment was dry of any dew or condensation.
I managed four pull-ups in the first set, but all else were two pull-ups and chin-ups.
I am undoing former less complete descents in these repetitions. I used to believe myself to be lowering myself to a proper hang, but I see now that I was not quite achieving that state ─ I was still retaining muscular tension.
So now, I descend to a loose hang that I hold for maybe two seconds, sort of relaxing the muscles of my arms, shoulders, and back before rallying and hauling myself up for the next elevation.
Hooligans had rendered the gymnastics-style rings inaccessible, so I had to use two bars on the jungle gym monkey bars to pull myself up between in the final two sets.
And of course, I finished up with 11 slow full-range push-ups in a declined posture on a cement ramp.
Alas, I was to delay my actual walk even further because on a whim I decided to explore a possible unmarked-by-Google-Maps trail that I noticed some months ago off Green Timbers Way near Foxglove Drive (Google Map).
That map presently displays ─ wrongly ─ a structure as being a "Lululemon", but it is really something called Foxglove Supportive Housing and Shelter.
The possible trail I had previously noticed is quite nearby. Foxglove Drive runs right past the building, and then diverts to a large parking lot; but it also leads off with a branch to the left that seems to come to a dead end.
Well, it does not. There is another drive or lane access from Green Timbers Way that joins up with that supposed end as can be seen from this screen capture:
That is 140th Street off to the left; and at the far 'end' of this presently unmarked-by-Google-Maps drive or lane you can see a yellow cement barrier. My suspected trail is directly behind the barrier.
Well, last night I explored it with my Titan baton flashlight (and stun gun). The trail only goes for a very short distance, and another section of it actually runs behind that large Foxglove parking lot, which is fenced off from the forest.
I think that the trail probably runs right around the back of the lot and comes out on the right side of the Foxglove building. Probably homeless hangers-on who are abundant thereabouts have beaten the trail; and maybe it is also used by people who want to shoot up without being noticed in or even outside of the building.
Anyway, I probably easily wasted at least 15 minutes finding all of this out. As a result, I was not back home until 4:26 a.m.
I got back to bed ahead of 6 a.m., and rose for the morning shortly before 8:30 a.m., by which time my younger brother was downstairs watching T.V.
Around 9:15 a.m. after I had joined him I put our Android TV Box to work and we were to watch a 35-minute (35:47) video on Rumble's The Sequel to the fall of the Cabal channel: THE SEQUEL TO THE FALL OF THE CABAL - PART 25_ COVID-19 - TORTURE PROGRAM.
We have slowly worked our way through the documentary series, and evidently now only have one final episode. This particular 25th episode was better than many.
Next was a video of nearly 1½ hours (1:27:13) that had been added on February 22, 2022, to Rumble's America's Untold Stories channel: Did LBJ Kill JFK? Part 2 - The Cover-up.
Did Lyndon B. Johnson have John F. Kennedy assassinated? Most political figures are killed by their successors. Only one man had the means, motive, and opportunity to kill JFK, and that is LBJ.
We had previously watched the first video ─ quite some time ago.
I'm a believer ─ LBJ was guilty of orchestrating the hit! Refer to the above video link for reference links in a fuller video description.
We finished with a 48-minute (48:55) video uploaded October 1, 2020, to YouTube's Free Documentary - History channel: Deadly Waters | Return of the Plagues | Free Documentary History.
With water pollution and temperatures on the rise, toxic algae cause serious problems nowadays for inland waters and for the oceans. Increasing algal bloom is poisoning fish and shells, and it has become a health hazard for human beings as well: toxic algae are responsible 60,000 cases of food poisoning worldwide every year.
Please refer to the video link for a far fuller description.
Unfortunately for me, my wife ─ who had gotten up a fairly short while earlier ─ spoiled my involvement in the documentary. She had discovered that my tax refund had already been deposited into our chequing account ─ something over $2,900. I had hoped to transfer the money out before she ever saw it.
I need all of it for my share of three upcoming annual billings (home insurance, utilities, and property taxes), since meantime the regular bi-weekly mortgage payments are not going to suddenly be suspended.
But she wants me to transfer her $900 to pay towards a lawyer firm that is after her over a credit card delinquency. The $900 might cover half of her present debt (it had been near $4,000).
I would like to help the fool woman out, but I am unsure if I can then manage my share of those other massive billings. This almost has me feeling somewhat sickened.
She had to work this latter afternoon, so she left towards 3:30 p.m. She attempted to contact the lawyer firm's agent handling my wife's case, but there was no call back to the message my wife had left.
I want to put in an evening walk instead of having to rise for another one overnight, so I must bring this post to an abrupt close. It is already after 7 p.m.
