My New Wine Purchasing Destination

It's just about bedtime, for I want to rise in the early a.m. for a five-mile+ walk.

Last evening I had a very successful walk, probably putting in a round trip minimum of six miles. My destination was the Save-On-Foods in the Fleetwood area here in Surrey. The store sells wine ─ and a huge variety of ciders, I was to discover.

I probably left here less than 8:10 p.m., unsure how long the walk was going to take (the store was to close at 10 p.m.). As it turned out, using a fast pace, I got there in just over an hour.

The plan was to buy one or two bottles of red wine to add to the stock I attempt to keep on hand for my wife, but once I found the wonderful variety on display, I decided to buy three bottles of different brands, since I had decided that I was not going to buy anything else in the store.

When I got to the cashier, it turned out that she was a minor and had to summon over a senior co-worker to ring up the sale.

The co-worker did so, and returned to her own station; then my cashier remembered that on an order of four bottles, there was a discount of 10% ─ did I care to take advantage?

So off I hustled to quickly select a fourth bottle, and the senior co-worker had to be summoned yet again to ring up the purchase.

It was rather fun.

I quite enjoyed the long walk home along the mostly wooded Fraser Highway to its conclusion at King George Boulevard. I actually began singing aloud. The busy traffic had no idea what I was doing there as I walked in the night, and there were no other pedestrians ─ just trees.

Naturally my younger brother was home and watching T.V. by the time I was back.

Once I had dressed down in my bedroom and got around to joining him, he was quick to invite me to put our Android TV Box into operation, so I led us off with one of the old Edgar Wallace Mysteries movies ─ June 1964's Who Was Maddox?

It proved quite interesting, and my brother remained conscious throughout, if more garrulous than was appreciated.

I have just now researched lead actress Suzanne Lloyd ─ what a roster of classic American T.V. series she guested in!

Anyway, I accessed the feature at this link at OK.ru.

Then we watched an episode of The Jonathan Ross Show ─ episode one of season or series 21.

Random YouTube videos via the SmartTube app kept us up some while more. However, my brother was finally to seek his bedroom for the night, whereas even though I was to come to mine, I remained here at my bedside computer until well past 4 a.m., I believe.

Between that and the three cans of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol) I drank during the watching of T.V., I felt none too rested this morning when I checked the time nigh 9:15 a.m. and hustled myself up from bed. My brother had probably been watching T.V. some while by then.

We were to only watch one video this morning via our Android TV Box ─ yesterday's addition to Rumble's A Warrior Calls channel: Alzheimer Treatment Success / While Death & Corruption Surrounds US.

My brother and I are both growing weary of this fixation on Master Peace and other products Christopher has of late begun promoting. I may yet stop being much of a regular follower. I already skip his videos that are just featuring the products.

My brother left around 10:10 a.m. for 20 or so minutes to pick up his girlfriend Bev and drive her to work, so despite how disinclined I was, I did exercise out in the backyard tool shed.

Our morning T.V. ended around 11:30 a.m. when my brother announced he was ready to get some bed rest before heading away for the day to socialize. This allowed me to have my own nap early ─ I was to bed barely into the noon hour, and must have easily spent 2½ hours there.

My wife ─ who had come home in the latter evening from her partial day yesterday working at the Thai restaurant ─ did not rise today until after I was napping. She had to work beginning in the latter afternoon today, so we interacted very little ─ she was on her way about an hour after I rose from my nap.

The day has been quite sunny, and tomorrow may be our warmest day thus far this year.

It is already nearly 10:30 p.m. ─ I must stop blogging and get to bed.

I will only add that early this evening, I managed to squeeze in an episode of Batwoman ─ episode 17 ("Kane, Kate") of season two.
