When my 3 a.m. alarm sounded, I rose to turn it off ... but I was not prepared to confront an outing feeling as inadequately slept as I felt. Consequently, I reset the cellphone alarm for 6 a.m. and returned to bed.
Some exercise out in the backyard tool shed was going to have to suffice ─ I would not be hobbling the ¾-mile round trip to the elementary school playground.
At 6 a.m. I did feel somewhat improved, but I still went downstairs to boil water for a mug of strong instant coffee that I used to wash down an aspirin to further ease some of the usual aches and pains.
It never got light enough to see in the dark tool shed until just about 8 a.m. because of rain and a heavily overcast sky. If that had been going on at 3 a.m., then I made the right choice!
I managed a little better than the usual ─ of late ─ single repetition in the six sets of pull-ups and chin-ups: 2-1-2-1-1-1. First two sets of pull-ups, then two sets of chin-ups, and a finishing two sets of pull-ups between the sides of the child's slide ladder spread across some roof rafters ─ those thick sides are all I have to work with.
I held the dead hang of the final pull-up for a 50-count, I believe.
I had preceded those exercises with the intense squat variations I am using to try and force development of strength and ability in the very damaged lower quadriceps muscles of my right leg.
Apparently last night was the New Year's staff party for my wife, so one and all went off to some other venue to celebrate after their Thai restaurant closed for the night. It was the second late consecutive night for my wife, and she probably would have been feeling pretty unpleasant this morning if she had a full workday.
As it was, she never emerged from her bedroom until 2 p.m., and was away a little before 3 p.m. on her rather long drive to work the latter part of the day.
My younger brother chose this morning to head into Washington State to visit his daughter and her baby that is now over six months old. However, I did not know of this plan.
He did not emerge from his bedroom until well after 9 a.m., by which time I had control of the T.V. and was set to play videos via our Android TV Box. The device is still being troublesome ─ newly developed yesterday, it has begun to freeze or even shut down periodically.
Somehow I am going to have to risk the cost of acquiring a new one.
Our present model is a Susay brand Android 9 with RAM of 4gbs and ROM of 64gbs, and it has lasted us for several years.
... And I've just now wasted a whole lot of time looking online for a strong replacement because I don't want to blow more than around $100, and the device must have the specifications Android TV Box 4GB DDR4 Gigabit Ethernet.
I think I found what I want, and it costs $84.99 with free delivery.
I've got to do some serious thinking.
Anyway, morning T.V. with my brother began with a nine-minute (9:49) video uploaded earlier today to YouTube's AnitaK channel: Freeland: New Job, “No Salary.”
Then it was a 13-minute (13:09) video published two days ago to Rumble's Libertytalkcanada channel: Canada COVERS UP Horrific Events Unfolding All Over Europe On New Years.
Ask Yourself Why? Mainstream Media Obviously Told Not To Report The Details For Obvious Reasons.
I next tuned in Bergerac ─ episode three ("Clap Hands, Here Comes Charlie") of season or series two. It was around the midway of this show that my brother disappeared to his bedroom. He had gone to dress up and otherwise ready for his quite long drive, although I did not realize this until he came back downstairs.
And so I was to watch the reminder of the episode by myself.
I had eaten a slice of pizza early this morning when I was awaiting my original coffee's water to boil. I am certain that my youngest stepson had left the box of three pieces on the kitchen counter. Between that one slice and my two coffees, I never felt need to eat before seeking my early afternoon nap.
Besides, since my wife was home, I figured that she would want to warm up leftovers for me once she was up.
But my nap ended, and she had yet to emerge from her bedroom. Thus, I fixed up an ample meal for myself.
After she left for work just ahead of 3 p.m., my mistake at eating so late was apparent ─ I felt overfull to be even lightly exercising in her vacant bedroom. And so I abandoned the session.
I will probably only have a supper similar to yesterday: a small mandarin orange, a banana, and a small apple. I deserve nothing more. Especially so since I want to watch a couple of shows and enjoy as many cans of Cariboo Malt (8% alcohol).
At present it is 6:49 p.m., so I am going to fetch that fruit, and then tune in my first show after I have eaten.
I will return later in the evening to complete this post.
🞅🞅🞅🞅🞅🞅
My first show was FBI ─ episode 13 ("Unearth") of season seven. My source was this MovieGo.me link.
It was a very good episode ─ I despise active pedophiles beyond tolerance. It's just too damned bad that the young guy killing his tormentors stupidly began retribution by killing two innocent people as a result of being a bad shot.
The episode ended no later than 8:13 p.m., by which time I realized that my brother was back here watching T.V. with Bev. I am certain he got back from the States much earlier in the afternoon, but is incapable of choosing to remain home ─ he had to bus off to go social drinking somewhere.
My second show was FBI: Most Wanted ─ episode eight ("Supply Chain") of season five. For it, my source was this uFLIX.to link.
Another very good show that kept me utterly involved throughout. And so went my second can of beer.
By the way, I thought that actress Alana O'Brien as the vigilante mom avenging her teen son's drug overdose death was ... hot.
With no intention of rising any earlier than 6 a.m. tomorrow, I decided to pour myself maybe six ounces of Mission Ridge Premium Dry Wine (13% alcohol) and watch a sitcom. It was Kitchen Confidential ─ obviously, the premium episode ("Exile on Main Street"). My source was this Tvids.to link.
It was far better than anything I expected! There was difficulty not pouring more wine ─ I would have if I was not so concerned about my financial situation.
To close, I made that Android TV Box purchase ─ I forgot about taxes, so it cost me $95.19 in total, with an estimated delivery date of January 10. However, now I cannot locate any indication on the Amazon.ca sales page of it having DDR-4 and not DDR-3.
I'll research this tomorrow ─ I must get to bed, for it is 11:44 p.m.
